I've experienced similar results with autel on different vehicle manufacturers it says fail and key is working fine. Gateway access is worth the yearly fee rather than pulling parts apart to access the gateway with a bypass cable or intercenting the signal at least for me it has been working great.
Follow the instructions. It says press the unlock key near the start button. Do that till the timer runs out as it programs. You are moving the key all around and pressing all the buttons. Patients and follow the instructions.

My 2014 limited Cherokee does not have remote start. Please let me know how can I get this function. In an original way or a plow and play system? Is it possible to code a new remote control with the remote start option?

That's because you got to push the button when it's in the cup holders. Sometimes they work with a push button are over the cup holders?

Will reprogramming a new key eventually shut down all operations to the vehicle?

I tried to program one today it failed I found antenna behind the radio broken so I ordered the parts from the dealer I will try again on Thursday
were you plugged into the obd2 port or did you use the 12+8 Chrysler connector thru the gateway module on passenger side ????

this key was totally new from the dealer or it was used but unlocked ( virginized) ??
This is after market key with Seperate remote board the origonal remote was working till the door lock system jum
