Spartan Vannak is basically the Master Chief of the Halo show

Some fans say the series should have been about just him as the main character.

Do, you all think, you would be invested in his character if he did it the way Padro did, all helmet no face, no you wouldn't, I like the actor that plays MC, how many people remember him, how many people know what he is capable of, not many. So ya, MC, didn't get to have his helmet on as much as I wanted. I'm not watching a video game. You want that, there's twitch or red team vs blue team. The other actresses that also didn't get much time with her helmet off, I don't know nothing about. So i don't care about her. That's how most people that aren't fans of halo feel. To do what Padro did is hard, having many people know who he was helped with him not having to take the helmet off. My hope is, if we get more season's, that there is more helmet and less faces for all Spartans. But to get back story from each basically unknown actors they need time out of the helmet. Here's a question is Sonic video game accurate? For their 1st season that got Alot right, we focus way to much on the things that they got wrong. Wrong things, did having a side rebel story pointless, yep, and she had no helmet at all. The romance thing for MC, odd but i seen alot worse, like a side rebel story. Honestly with the non-cannon approach they’re taking this actor totally could have played Master Chief and done a great job. They’re not going off of the games so his race doesn’t matter, and it especially wouldn’t matter if he KEPT THE HELMET ON.
Even then with non canon I could forgive it easier if Chiefs helmet came off a few episodes in and it was him. The current actor? No. Scrawny babyfaced immature child lookin self. Nope. This guy that knows what he's doing? Yes

Simple solution: Demote John for all his shenanigans and throw him in the brig or execute him for treason (as it's war time and all). Promote Vannak to Master Chief and start the Silver Saga from scratch. Nothing was established or changed plot wise from the beginning to the end of the season 1, so starting fresh season 2 with only Silver Team would be a win in my book.

Vannak is the only real spartan in the show. Master Cheeks, dyed hair, and literally everything else needs to be scrapped.
I actually have to defend dyed hair Kai, much as I hated her in the beginning, she actually had more natural character development. The scene of them fighting, him without armour getting pretty much destroyed, imagine go around without armour as a spartan.
Honestly it made me even more of a fan when he admitted to being a Halo fan prior and that shows bright in this series if they make a spin off I want it of him, if honestly they played one or two of them they could have grasped the Master Chief more better and the mannerism, the other Spartans were okay kai grew on me over the series

I honestly believe this show would have been ok at best if they didn’t have Master Chief at all. Have the show be some type of spinoff of random Spartans for example Spartan Vannak and follow their day to day life. At the same time it will also expand the world of Halo. Just adding Master Chief alone put the whole show to extreme measures of expectation.
