This song has been playing in my head for a week now. I don't know how it wormed in there, but I am glad to finally find the source.
You have no idea what journey you are about to embark upon. The Avett Brothers are among the greatest bands of our time. You will buy all their albums and completely fall in love. They are the best. I will never adore a band like I do them. I love this new song.

I’m 13 now (just barely), but when I was about 6, my concert was Avett Brothers. The only thing I remember it I had pocket warmers and also that I fell asleep but my mom woke me up for Kick Drum Heart because that was my favorite at the time. I still have the t-shirt I got, it barely fits. I’m gonna ask my mom for tickets for one of their shows when this pandemic is over. Excited to see if they get more publicity ever.

I’m gonna 14 in a few days and I was recently introduced to these guys by my aunt who is basically my mom bc she takes care of me and I love all of there music my aunt JSUT had a baby and we all live together and I rock him to sleep with this song

I had a sort of paranormal experience with this song....or maybe just coincidental...
My stepfather had just had a severe stroke and was in the hospital in a coma. I was at my moms house helping her get ready to go the hospital and we were sitting down and taking a minute and she was crying when this song came on...the lyrics were way too on point it was strange. At the part where he says "cant you see that I am alive let me prove it..." we even got a laugh in. Wondering if this song is written about comatose? It's all I can think of now. He did survive and woke up. He has a speech disability now which makes the lyrics even more relevant. Life is wierd.

Heard this one ,like most of what I here, on KRCL a local community radio station. Love the banjo in there and just the overall flow of the song. I guess it's probably on regular radio now since it's in a commercial. Great music is rarely played on commercial radio anymore.
