- It's the first auto loading med at tier 9, and as such its always going to be controversial. Today we look at the T54E1 and talk through the pro's, con's and the best way to make a living in this fairly unique monster.
It's got atrocious DPM, it's got armour thats rough as guts, and its kind of sluggish..plus o...it's got terrible terrible penetration values.
So how can you get it to work for you?
Well it does 1050 burst dmg in a 3 round clip so that'll roll your socks up and down if you can land a full belt and hide till you reload the next :)

Autoloaders aren't meant to have the best dpm. They meant to specialise in burst dmg. Although the shell gap isn't so great on blitz,
Peek, smash enemy for half their hp and then hide.
That's what they are meant to do but the game is not really lett Ng that happen often enough
Burst on the clips aren't fast enough, especially on the t57. On pc the t57 delay between shots is like 1 second compared to the 3 seconds it's been assigned in blitz. The t57 is meant to be the dpm king amongst the heavies, on blitz it has like third best dpm. When you don't have armor or maneuverability going for you, you kinda need a mean gun.

I agree that the reload between each shell in clip is too slow, which is what I said, but it isn't meant to be dpm king, just because it is on PC, doesn't mean it should be.

I agree hole heartedly with your comments bushka about this new autoloader line.I am up to the T54E1 & so far I have found them to be a major disappointment but I understand that it is better for them to get a buff in the future rather then them be OP.
The way you are using the T54E1 is right but if you have a weak team it will be a hard slog to carry the team , I have aced it already but that is only when the team was focused on & it left me able to expose & let out my burst damage!
Even if it's pen isn't great you can circumvent that Con by hitting sides & rear of tanks you cannot pen from the front! Which you did , great tips thx bushka!

yeah I'm definitely stopping at the T71 for this line. Hopefully tier 8 and up will be buffed next patch.
Seems that autoloaders would do best at the end of the game, in a 1 vs 1 fight against a red tank that is already damaged enough so you can kill it with one clip. So maybe I'll try being a second line supporter at the start, save my hitpoints, and only get aggressive at the end.

Bushka, you have to be decisive with autoloader reloading. Commit to the reload early, and often, if it seems necessary.
I do it mate...I really do lol. It's just not a very good tank. With dpm that low if you are not getting full clip opportunities on a regular basis you just struggle to contribute easily. This is never a problem in a cent / 54 / pta / Patton but it sure as hell is in this thing.

Well, I was so psyched about getting these tanks, even saved up 500k exp for it, spent the cash to get the gold, and got the t71. Then i played it and asked, wtf. I loved it on the pc but this wasn't the same t71 so I watched your reviews and realized these aren't the tanks i enjoyed on pc. They're not even ghosts of them. Thanks for saving my remaining 350k exp from being spent on this crappy line!
It is a good line if you are good and like the different playstyle

I suspect one shot in every clip is going to fail to do any damage...
That sounds prettty fair.
Also if you don't toon often this line will ruin your average damage & your win rate , I have just lost 5 games straight as team melts before I can put myself in a position to unleash my burst damage

Hey Bushka, did you try to use the Macbook to run Blitz? They usually do it well and you could get better sound quality.
Unless you got the Macbook with an Intel HD of course :)

give it an extra shell, 10-15mm more of pen,and a little bit better turret armour
The issue with giving an auto loaded better dpm is you end up with tanks like the helsing
Mediocre Joker it could still use slightly better pen though if not an extra shell because you get alot of games especially on the NA server where all you can really use is heat to fight off the hordes of IS3 IS3-Ds and IS6's running around. And even in normal games you bleed credits just bc you'll bounce the weirdest of shots that where fully aimed and hit penable areas
Kinda late but there's a minimum pen number and high pen number let's say 100-200 pen so that's 150 average the system has a + or - 25% which give you this "how did that bounce it was flat" or this "how did that pen that was red"
Eric Reyes haha yea I actually take back what I said on it I very much so enjoy the tank and even have a mastery but that's all with top gun only headache I had was with T69 oh boy was that a emotional rollercoaster tank.

I've been running the e1 since they hit blitz, matter of point I was going back in forth with them to bring the line in and after much debate; tuh dah...😏 I've had great luck with this particular machine. I use it mainly for back up and distraction for my team, often they fail to realize and think I'm hiding during the loooonnngg reload. A great machine if you stay covered or mobile. A killer of is7, e100 or t95 if used properly.
T57 needs a buff. I'm pretty sure it has 4 shells on computer and a better shell delay.
i have the T54E1 and have 300 battles in it. I always hide in the back and poke out mostly pulling about 600 to 900-1000 dmg. NEVER RUSH IN THE T54E1 (or in any tank in general)
the only new murica line tanks that i find satisfied to play are t71
It's much better than T69 but still a situational tank, still not good, ill stick with the T54 and LEO PTA, those tank can change game situation drastically, seeing the autoloaders and using one feels too heavy, it's just unbearable pen value really matters on this tank cause its not that fast, T71 is awesome cause its fast autoloading gun is very beneficial if your a Light tank, but when it comes to mediums ugghhh the struggle is to darn high...
i enjoy this tank imo.. the thing is tho is dat u cant be a frontal assault tank. u have to be a support.. if u do dat, plus timing ur reloads u can do 2-3k dmg every match... also got my mastery today with 5.4k dmg and 6 kills. its a fun tank

Bushka, love your reviews but you're being unnecessarily harsh on this line - there's plenty of tanks in the game that have pros and cons - otherwise we would all be driving the same tank with different skins. If you need to flank and peekaboo then that's what you need to do. If you get a tank with an autoloader then you have an initial advantage - if someone has the coin to augment their non-autoloader then that is the way of things. Where's your video on the T54 Prototype. That things is a monster.
thing is. The tanks kind of sluggish for a med it's got terrible penetration numbers and terrible armour. All in service to burst damage which it does t get to utilise nearly as often as it needs to
All good points. Maybe it's because I just leveled my Churchill GC and my light can't pen a KV1 from any angle....

Just Got Prank'd PC is much more complex and harder to play, because you play experienced players and much more diversity

Yeah it’s like this is BLITZ for everyone EXCEPT autoloaders. Why do you think I love the T71 so much, 1.5 sec relaid between shells!!! ITS BLITZ, ITS SUPPISED TO BE QUICK. Why do you think I hate the tier 10 BC? 3 SEC RELAOD TIME!
Oh and take note. Don’t play 500 games in T71 and then play in another auto loader😂 that 1.5 makes you spoiled as hell
