- In this video we examine why the AK74 has a standard zero at 440 meters and the theory behind iron sights, sightlines, trajectories and what battle zero means.
Great video my friend.
As a 50 year old rabbit hunter using .22 airrifles this is my bread and butter.
I also have well over 5000 hours in Arma 3.
These videos are great for those coming over from games that use scanning rather than ballistic simulation.
Once again great video.
Constantly hear people saying the gun is broken or there’s a bug that makes your gun zero at 440m and I always have to explain this to them, hope this reaches a lot of people who are still unaware and need an explanation
Always try to explain the battle zero when I hear people in the game asking/complaining about it. But this video does a much better job than I ever could. Great video!
That's actually incredibly brilliant. One of the hardest things about using iron sights is your target being obscured by your front post. Seeing the rounds elapse the front post and give you a good picture(especially with tracers) is a game changer. Seeing this cool feature of the soviet rifles, I hope they add the ability to mortar your grenade launcher(shoot straight up at close range to fire over obstacles like buildings or trenches). It's something that the standard NATO launchers were never designed for, but the side mounted sight system on soviet launchers could do.
The only game where I have consistently seen the importance of zero, point of aim and point of impact modelled realistically. Most games are just point and shoot.
I still put both the M16 and AK on 200m zero. It seems to work the best for me and the AK and the distances I engage in. With 5.56, I know a 50/200 zero is better than the 25/300. All my IRL rifles get that same zero as well.
Excellent video as always Max
I always thought this was a glitch! 🤯 Love your vids
Great vid.
I would love a video on the medic system.
It's the one thing ArmA 3 players absolutely hate.
its pretty easy, if u get hit use bandage, saline and morphine to fix the minimal damage
Love your content!
Would love to see the holds for the other weapons, in particular the M16 since it’s lowest setting is 200, by default at 300
The M16 gets it's zero at 25m on paper, then confirms actual zero at 300m. So if you hold center of mass on a man your rounds will go a few inches high at 50m about 12 inches high at 250m and then back to point of aim at 300m. You won't ever have the issue where rounds are zipping over the head of the target like with the AK-74.
keep it up bro
Like these videos dude, keep it up!
arma reforger is amazing, and if amra 4 comes to consoles as well i think this game will be up with top 10 most played games on consoles. i can’t wait for the grind and lav-25 to come out butttt lav-25 will be way over powered so i say add the BMD-2 and then M113 to go against BTR 😂
thank you max verstappen
So should you change your zeroing if your engagements are in closer range? Or stick with battle zero and aim center always?
If youre used to where it lands up close its effectively a red dot. Bullet lands a little above your post so you have unobstructed view of where the bullet goes. If youre always adjusting youll never get the repetitions. Just practice a little bit with it.
@@richardflechs1139 it’s up to preference honestly I always just run my gun at 100 and completely disregard the battle zeroing like I’m using an American gun since that’s what I’m used to
Do you or anyone else here know the battle zero of popular rifles in Squad (the game)? I wish I knew this when I started playing 😂
Watch europa the last battle
Would one on the m16
