As a 90s kid, it’s so good having confidence in Nintendos next move. As a whole it’s just a good thing for future games, all gamers and the industry. Where is this switch 2 at, i want it.

The rumors for the Nintendo Switch 2, at least for me, are addressing issues with the Nintendo Switch: 1) Controllers. It seems that Nintendo are making a different kind of controller for the Switch 2. Will these Switch 2 controllers be better? We'll have to see. 2) More gaming power. It seems that Switch 2 has a significant gaming power increase that has attracted many third party developers. 3) Backwards compatibility with the Switch. It seems this is going to happen. 4) I'm very interested in the USB-C ports for accessories. If the Switch 2 camera turns out to be an accessory, this means that we're not stuck with a camera that an become quickly outdated. 5) Hopefully there's a much better WiFi adapter in the Switch 2 that avoids the issues with the Kingdom Hearts release, and provides great multi-player gaming. 6) It seems that Nintendo will be standardizing Switch 2 game development to use an Unreal Engine. If this is the case, then game developers will have dev kits with that Unreal Engine instead of making their own homebrew engine all the time. 7) Hopefully the Nintendo-Microsoft partnership brings the XBox GamePass to the Switch 2. It opens another avenue for games on the Switch 2.
It’s so funny having lived through the late Wii into Wii U era, where no one really had faith in Nintendo - to now where everyone is just assuming the Switch 2 will be some bonkers success. It’s corny, but it really is an awesome time to be playing games
Hey Prime, great video. This is the commentary content we love to see. Only thing I disagree with you on is the menu music stuff doesn’t matter, I think many of us would argue the fact that the switch was lacking in one thing, charming personality in the menus.
While i agree, i like music and other personality focused features, i don't turn on the system to stare at the menu. I just want to get to the game. I completely admit it's a preference on my part though
Nintendo realizes that Gameplay is king. Unlike Sony and Microsoft who are more focused on pushing political idealogy instead of making great games. There is is reason there aren't many Current Sony and Microsoft games that can be called "good".
I disagree with you. Switch 1 was the innovation--don't force weirdness with the new one. Just upgrade the UI and overall experience, and it's going to feel like a true realization of the concept. Explore various joycon concepts (not just colour vario. Bring the completeness. Give us high-end premium options. I disagree with you that they've switch to logic and tech, whole losing personality. There’s only one thing that I could see being a major roadblock for Switch 2. There is contraction across the third parties, but third parties were a pivotal thing for Switch. Third parties are part of the reason why Nintendo’s been able to release at least one first party game a month and still generate a massive library that offered something for everyone. The longer they wait to reveal, the harder it becomes for teams working on Switch 2 content to defend themselves from cuts. The potential list of offerings will drop for a bit. So they need to do something soon, before their potential year 1 and year 2 offerings start shrinking. It is also part of the reason why I’d be shocked if we don’t have a first look trailer or event by Wednesday.
third parties are already working on switch 2, the heads in charge obviously have talked with Nintendo about it, its not like their bosses are suddenly going to cut their budgets bc of that
@@Elchinodawn The longer it takes for them to start talking about Switch 2, it’s just development costs with no return on investment and NDAs where partners can’t even start building hype and potential preorder data. The fact that we’ve already got A partner coming out saying “yes, this game is coming to the unannounced Nintendo console” suggests we’re no more than two weeks from a first look. Especially with bigger companies basically saying, “well that console doesn’t exist yet, but yes” when asked about bringing content. We’ve basically got some partners trying to strong-arm Nintendo into offering a first look pre-TGS anyway, because the sooner they can start talking about Switch 2 projects, the sooner they can start building hype. Also the sooner they could potentially open preorders to start making back their investment into the project.
Funny to see people use this argument "oh nintendo needs to make some great new thing" while the same people love theyr PS4 and 5 or Xbox, tge ones that actually NEVER inovated in anything since the begining in hardwares😂
Great vid brother. You stated everything perfectly. Switch 2 naming was always the best option. I think they are on track for another successful console.
Now I am definetly expecting them to include some kinda new feature we're not thinking of at the moment. This is Nintendo we're talking about and I've been experiencing their stuff so long I know their going to want to scratch that itch for some additional creativity. That said I don't think it'll be like the main selling point of the Switch 2, I think the main selling point will be how much stronger it is compared to the first. And people saying it'll be lacking in creativity are just being over dramatic, because the developers at Nintendo are still going to be creative and inventive with their games ontop of having all that extra power. If Nintendo has proven one thing during the switch era is that their priorites are right where they need to be and it makes them so much smarter than Sony and Microsoft right now.
Nintendo’s best consoles (not handhelds) are the Switch & Wii And the reason why those two consoles generated so many sells is because Nintendo introduced NEW ways to play games The Nintendo Wii introduced motion controllers The Nintendo Switch introduced the hybrid form-factor If the Switch 2 is just another revamped version of the current Switch, the Switch 2 sells won’t be high (I’d say probably between 30 to 40 million units sold worldwide) In order for Nintendo to reach over 100 million sells, they need to innovate Looking towards the future if tech devices, smart glasses and AR glasses will eventually replace smartphones (because AR/VR glasses will enable users to utilize massive big screens that literally float right in front of face) Would you rather play a handheld system with an 8inch screen? Or would you rather play on a massive 200inch digitized screen that you can wear on your face and take anywhere? Bottomline… new innovation is imperative
They havent dropped the price of Switch 1 because of Moore's law, or the lack of it. Come on people when are you gonna start talking about this.. it's a complete game changer..

Mario, Zelda, Metroid, etc.. have something the others simply do not have and that is fun. Yes, Spiderman 2 was good and yes, I have no doubt that the upcoming Fable will be good. However, at the end of the day, they're kind of forgettable. How long is Kratos going to be pissed off? Take a vacation, dude. How often is the covenant going to come after Master Chief? I'm not saying that Nintendo doesn't reuse their i.p.'s, they obviously do BUT they're fun. They're interesting. In a way, they're comforting. Kind of like seeing am old friend every so many years.

Many of the memories i have with games com from their respective systems, and the value that the systems is what gave a special value to the games. Switch lacks that, and for just a 4k upgrade i would rather just go and revisit the 3ds. I'm confident that they will do something new, but, i need them to add personality to the thing. It's not the same, it gets cold and meaningful, meanwhile previous consoles gave you that sense of coziness by just having the controller or system on hand.

I love the switch. I think its an amazing console. Joycon drift should of never been a thing. That was horrible. The amount of fun i had with that console was great. Yes it isnt strong but theres something magical about nintendo IPs and the company itself.
There’s going to be many accessories to work with that top type C port… there’s going to be awesome gimmicks
Gonna be great. The switch is near perfect system…joycons suck but switch 2 will fix that.
That was well said. On point.
Nintendo needs to innovate? Show me the Sony and Microsoft innovations. Oh what's that? They are just PCs.
Sony are done end of debate
