  • Just wanted to give my subscribers an update on my lack of presents on RUclips lately. What in the world kind of madness have I been up to that I've been too busy to post?

That looks like a Sunnen SL960 mandrel. That series was pretty much considered disposable and you can get them on eBay for not much. Sometimes there are NOS ones available.

I figured I might be able to just haven't looked into it yet. The number is on the side somewhere. 960 sounds about right from what I recall.

Some roots run 15-20 ft or more also depending on what it is. Just wait there's more! 😂 But you can use certain things to go down and bring up nutrients.

You might be on edge of a permanently collapsed lifter. Your oil pressure is much too low for an AFM system to function properly. It is probably binding the locks in the lifter because it's not activating the disengagement of them fast enough. First thing I would do is shut the system off in the tune. Lt1swap.com is a great source for doing this. If your problem suddenly goes away then at least you will buy yourself a little more time. Ultimately though you're going to want to solve your oil pressure concern.

Hey bud have any advice I am stumped. I got the 2010 cadillac escalade 6.2 I pulled the heads off an lifters an all the lifters look good. But cyclinder 6 intake valve has insane amount of carbon build up has low oil pressure has around 18psi after warmed up but that only happens occasionally it has a ticking noise that will come till you give it gas Rev it up then it goes away but soon idle its there any advice ? Also I've in stalled new high volume oil pump new timing chain an all new timing sensor an new volm. Also not familiar with this afm lifters I see they have a oil hole in the center of the lifters but one has the oil completely line up while the other are partly lined up its like something inside that lifter turn half way idk if that normal or not ? Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Did you have a valve job done when the head was off? The build up could be a leaking valve. That oil pressure is low you could have a bad second camshaft bearing or leaky lifters. Considering you have a tick it is likely a lifter with severe bleed off. With valve covers off start the vehicle. If you have a rocker shooting oil like crazy, then that lifter is bad. Not a typical failure but it does happen. This could also cause oil pressure issues if you have enough bad ones.

@@CrazedPerformanceRepair I have not but I do plan on taking them to a machine shop sometime this week. I tooken the valve covers off and started the engine an all lifters move good an there no oil coming out them. I was started to think maybe main bearing but the noise is always there when you Rev it up the noise goes away but comes right back at idle an there no metal shaving in the oil

Nope, I came from MN because they have gone bat ish crazy. Besides that taxes are ridiculous there. SD is much more business friendly and it's politics line up with mine. More freedom ftw...
