Please help, I'am new to Revit and everytime I load a family or insert a door this error shows up: Display Error An error has occured while drawing the contents of this window. This window shall be closed. I tried downloading new families or creating a new door but it still causes an error.
The tutorial was good though, I could follow. At 5:45 I couldn't continue because the error showed up when I load it into a project. Please help if you have an idea how to fix this. Thank you in advance!
Hi dear, if you load a curtain wall window in a normal wall this might lead into errors, you must use normal window (any window that has not has "curtain" in its name).
Hi dear, make sure of the following: 1- you are in a revit project environment file not in family editor or conceptual mass file 2- make sure you picked the door command and you are actually putting the mouse on a wall, this will show you the door. 3- make sure you are selecting normal door to be added to normal wall (not curtain wall) 4- if you have a curtain wall then you must add curtain door to it not normal door. 5- make sure the starting file or template is correct, some temolate downloaded from the net are without doors!! So you must load this family prior to apply Finally have a look at my revit elementary course in more details, it has all these topics covered in details Cheers
Greeting dear Ridhma, In Revit Families, you will create a reference planes all the times, they are the ones who carry all constraints and parameters that you design accordingly any parametric object like a door or a table, so if you want for example to design a parametric Box, that has three Parameters (Length, Width, Height) these parameters must be defines as reference planes not (Modeling Lines), and after defining them and link them with dimensions and parameters, you will be in need to design the model (the physical representation of the Box) and thus you will need to make a model (Extrude for example) and it has a model sketch lines, these model lines must be locked to the reference planes, so they will be following them. think it that way, Reference planes are controlled by the dimension - parametersm those you can change later as you like when you insert the box or the door, BUT the box or the door is made of physical objects their model lines must follow the reference plane so the BOX or the Door will be a parameteric object no the reference plane
Yep, you can use a component in place to insert a void sweep or extrude to cut out of a curved wall see this guy also ruclips.net/video/VO-BSStm2o4/видео.html

Yep, you can use a component in place to insert a void sweep or extrude to cut out of a curved wall see this guy also
