Makes my wrist tired just listening to it.

Absolutely amazing!! I studied this Song, actually. And my teacher, a brotha with a natural german sounding tenor voice. Presented the sheet music, vocal to me. And encouraged me to learn it. He would sing along with me during lessons. While playing the piano accompaniment. Drowning me out, by the way. But this transcription couldn't have been written by Schubert himself. Never the less. It is spot on Schubert. Who's works for the piano are difficult enough in their original form. This is Maddening, three staves stuff to learn this piece.

Beautiful performance of the work of two masters. Oddly, although the difficulty level look absolutely horrific, it is a few merciful steps less than that. Liszt was pianistic enough to keep it actually playable. I learned this piece in my last year at college when there were still things I regarded as more difficult and less value for study.

Silly me, as usual. I first see the music. And read Captions afterwards. Liszt, of course!! Who else could have done it. Making it this difficult to handle. He loved Schubert. Beethoven as well. Maybe even more so. He, transcribed a number of songs by Schubert. Liszt, a Mad Man at this instrument.

Leave it to Liszt to make an already difficult piece even more difficult 😮
