    What first attracted me about Tadao Ando was the way in which he autonomously made a career, without attending architecture school, and achieve this level of beauty

      It was a different time. Now it would be unthinkable almost, in some countries to do career without having the "degree". Although for sure he knows more about architecture and construction than most of us...!

      @fredrikmudas 3 года назад

      I have nothing on architecture knowledge but i guess he built a lot of building so that at one point he have the same level with architect with a degree about the material, aesthetic aspect, etc.

      Since japan have hardcore culture in apprenticeship I guess he got the knowledge from his master without attending archi school

    Wow, that's just amazing! Excellent work building the VR set and lighting in UE4! Beautiful work… and your brilliant narratives continue to shine through!

    Thank you for this content. I really liked your video about the Barcelona Pavilion with links to the other buildings of the architect, its inspiration, its uniqueness and short history. I think we are missing a bit on this here. I think this is still a fantastic content for those times of travel ban. I would love to see your work on Japanese architects like Junya Ishigami and Sou Fujimoto if you plan on going to Japan.

      If I go to Japan I would go crazy with the videos :D The idea was to do a 1 month tour, so imagine.... :D
      Anyway...hopefully 2021!

    Amazing 3D work! When I first saw a Tadao Ando building, I got close to the walls and noticed the structures in the concrete, leaves and other natural elements, that is what sets him apart!

    Cada uno de los videos explica todo de manera clara y aborda puntos tan importantes. Sería interesante uno sobre el cementerio de Igualada, una continuación de la línea productiva de Miralles. Saludos y felicitaciones!

      Gracias Enzo! Adoro el trabajo de Miralles, aunque ir ahora hasta Barcelona con la situación actual es complicado...me encantaría hacer más videos sobre su trabajo como el mercado de Santa Caterina, o las viviendas de Borneo. Aunque he de decir que el Ayuntamiento de Utrecht me pareció una maravilla. Un saludo!

    Still a high quality video! I have been there also. There are so many great works of Tadao Ando in Osaka & nearby towns, it will make you an endless trip, if you film them all. Hope you can go there in the coming future.

    Great video! Really good job of documenting a plethora of aspects throughout the structure. What you said about duality - great examples in a book called ‘The Kybalion’ along with other architectural similarities.

    Another nice architectural video FW ! I like the reporting like presentation. The space reminds me of the convent church of La Tourette by our friend Le Corbusier, although the dimensions are quite different. You can feel that Ando visited Ronchamp also, but don't copy it, except the light coming in under the roof/wall connection !

    • @FourthWallArchitecture
      @FourthWallArchitecture  4 года назад

      Taking in consideration how small this space is, it is amazing the amount of details from other architectures. As you said, inspired the space, but didn't copy! Greetings Hans!

      Genial ¡he acertado con tu acento! Pues mira, yo también soy arquitecto y llevo tiempo dándole vueltas a la idea de hacer un canal de divulgación arquitectónica, pero cuando ví el tuyo, creo que ya no me merece la pena. No lo haría mejor.
      En cuanto a edificios, me gustaría algo más de arquitectura española que la hay muy buena. Musac León de Tuñón, caja Granada de Campo Baeza, Kursaal de San Sebastián, Biblioteca St. Antoni de RCR. Y también internacional, Guggenheim Bilbao, Metropol Parasol...
      Fuera se España, Utzon, Koolhaas, Kahn.
      Si vienes por Euskadi a grabar, me encantaría quedar contigo.
      Un saludo.
