As an African American I didn’t hear much about Neil’s music in my prime, later in life I listened to his whole album and fell in love with him and his music. I feel like I missed out, never saw him perform in person. Now it appears that I never will. I feel hurt by that.

Neil Diamond lives in our hearts since the first time we heard his voice and were forever in love with Brooklyn Roads and the troubadour that sprang from that home "two floors above the butcher". It was an honor to attend four of his concerts in the 1980s in Midwestern places like Cincinnati, Dayton, and Indianapolis, all with my mother (her favorite was Cracklin' Rosie).
