  • In this video I will be demonstrating how to PROVE a bolt action rifle safe to the standard of the Canadian Firearms Safety Course. This is not meant to be a substitute for taking the Canadian Firearms Safety Course, it is meant to be a study tool to assist students with the practical exam.

    In NZ the number one rule is muzzle awareness and always remove the bolt completely. I do not agree with removing a magazine first. If for some reason a round was in the chamber , removing the magazine is just delaying the danger time of a fully loaded rifle!. Just get that bolt out first.

    MY INSTRUCTOR TOLD ME TO PUT MY FINGER INSIDE THE FEEDING PATH AND LOOK THROUGH THE BERREL. i did not do it and it was the only "mistake" i made during the test because i did not feel comfortable putting my eye where the bullet is supposed to come out of
