Hello guys,
I tried myself on being Rob Boss, cutting some beautiful opals from Lightning Rigde. I want to influence the world with these little gemstones. So this video "the joy opal cutting" is showing you, that you can do opal cutting and polishing at home with just a dremel tool. I'm loving opals and maybe it also is just a nice thing for people who are cutting and polishing stones or for gemstone lovers general. Cutting opal stones with a dremel is not as easy as shown in the video. If you want to start, I definetley recommend you to get more serious information.

what speed do you use on the Dremel?
I recently bought the Dremel 200..
it says it has 2 speeds but low is very low. how often do you change speed if ever?
Hey Julian, thank you mate!! I use my dremel at the lowest speed, that is about 10000 rpm. From what I know is, that you need even slower speed to get the best results. There are flex shafts to attach on dremels to get this speed, but don't ask me for any products, cause I'm really like a Noob 😂. Check out the YT channel Roys Rocks, he is the best informing guy here

I've a friend who made the intro and the beat and he did this more than good! But most of the sounds I got from the RUclips sound library. I really digged some good vibes out here. Not easy to find
Can I also do this with a black daimond stone ?
How do you attach/secure your Dremel to be stationary? I was going to use a vice but im afraid to break it or it snaps out.

In my setup the vise hast like soft parts, so the dremel is not pressed by metal. If you have a "normal" vise without protection, my first idea would be to attach something like a sheet of silicon. Hope that OS helpful 😉

Sau geiles Video! Ich selber bin über Black Opal direct mit Justin, zu Roys Rocks gekommen. Informativ sind die Videos aber deins ist mega unterhaltsam. Wir fangen auch gerade an unser equipment aufzustocken und überlegen wo wir unsere Steine kaufen sollen... hast du da vllt einen Tip? Ich war am überlegen über Opalauctions welche zu holen oder doch lieber aus einer Facebook Gruppe? Gruß aus Bielefeld
DANKE Nils!!! Ja, versuche mich ein bisschen mit Videoschnitt und Ideen abzuheben, weil meine Steine halt nicht mega sind.
Ich habe meine ersten Opale über ebay gekauft und dort teilweise echt Glück gehabt. Dann nach einigen guten und negativen Erfahrung (die wirst du auch machen müssen) bin ich zu opal auctions und dort findet sich ab und zu nen Schnapper für 50$. Würde dir empfehlen Pakete im Bereich 50 bis 100$ zu kaufen und daran erstmal zu üben. Natürlich sollte da schon ein wenig Farbe in den Steinen sein, sonst macht es keinen Spaß 😅.
