    I have a couple of crosscut jigs for the table saw. None of them are particularly pretty, but then they are just bits of wood that help make life easier and safer in the workshop. Carry on making stuff.

    Nice work! I also used pine for the runners on my crosscut sled with no problems. If they do get a little "loose" in the channels from expansion/contraction due to weather/humidity changes, you can wrap some masking tape around them to help fill in the gaps.

    • @thewoodjunki
      @thewoodjunki  29 дней назад +1

      Yes I’m sure they will be fine for now, I’ll end ups making another at some point with a bit more functionality to it. 👌

    Nice project and video. I was thinking maybe as an alternative to pine for the runners getting an inexpensive poly cutting board and cutting into strips. I think it’s the same material as the runners that they sell in the wood working stores or Amazon. Just a thought.

    • @thewoodjunki
      @thewoodjunki  29 дней назад +1

      Yes I’m gonna try some of that poly stuff… I asked Shelley if I could cut one of her plastic cutting boards up.. she threatened me with a frying pan 👌

    You hardly can't do without jigs. The only thing is ....... they always take up a lot of space when storing.
    Next project ....... a jig storing space 🙂 (ceiling?)
