Street Racing Channel S10 Steering and Front Suspension Setup at Lucore Automotive!

- Billy and the Street Racing Channel team have that little S10 back in one piece and fired up with his new motor and all new front suspension setup, so it's OUR turn to help get it dialed in! With the huge changes made to the front half of the truck this is basically starting over from scratch, new tubular K member, new tubular upper and lower control arms, new steering rack, new bump steer kit... it's all new! So here we go, let's set him up a good baseline to go test!
As with everything in the custom alignment and suspension setup world you really never know what all you are getting into or how long it's going to take. It's honestly even hard to estimate because every car or truck is different, even if they are exactly the same parts they could be installed slightly different. Or the vehicle they are installed on could be slightly different... when we're talking in tenths of degrees every little bit is a big deal. As with Bill and The Old Man's Garage Malibu, or really any custom drag racing alignment we do it's the fine measurements and tolerances that take the time. This isn't a "Toe and Go" kind of deal!
Custom race car alignments, custom alignments, lift alignments, lowered alignments, regular every day nor daily driver alignments whatever it is we do them all here and we do our best for each and every customer. However when we're talking racing application we make sure to be extra super duper careful to get all of this right because a mistake or failure at these speeds can very literally mean the difference between life and death.
Huge thanks as always to all our subscribers, followers, fans, and customers who have made our business successful and gotten our channel to where it is today. Special thanks to the SRC / Street Racing Channel / SRC Garage / Old Man's Garage / Junkyard Digs folks for showing such amazing support for us over the past several months. Without all of you we wouldn't be anywhere near where we are today. We hope you enjoy this one! Авто/Мото
I must be goofy as hell 🤣 I do alignments all day then go home and watch you do alignments .
There is no need to apologize for working for a living
Thanks Scott we do our best when filming to control as much as we can control but, this is real working and wrenching here.
@@LucoreAuto much Respect
Good job!
You put the time in on Billy's stuff and the whole family I'm sure I'm not the only one to say THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR KEEPING THEM SAFE WE ALL APPRECIATE IT VERY MUCH IM SURE your definitely a good man and take pride in your job ! I'm hooked on your videos now lol I had no idea how much goes into getting off the line not only safely but w out spinning and also in a perfectly straight line bravo my friend keep our racers safe !
Man I wish y’all were located close to me in Knoxville TN. It’s so hard to find hard working blue collar people that are honest. Not to mention the wealth of knowledge and experience! Y’all are awesome 🤘🏼💪🏼🏁🇺🇸
You know what guys! Big respect for filming in a FULLY FUNCTIONAL SHOP! That just shows this is not a tv show this is not a made set for a RUclips channel. This is real deal. Real working hard fellas! Again big respect for that! You guys do fantastic work! Keep it up!
While on the track the front tires of that truck have never spent much time on the ground. Rich is an expert who understands the science behind the correct alignment. Billy and Rob has built a beautiful race truck. Looking forward to a winning race season.
Man I can't wait to see Billy's new combo at work. If I lived in Ohio you guys would be my go to shop.
Much respect for the Lucore team, I really enjoy the content. Thank ya much
Thanks Kevin really appreciate that! We're extremely fortunate to have some awesome customers and partners too!
X2 Kevin,, X2
The SRC gang has taken stock in gapabees and with Rich alignments they will be as straight as a arrow. Thanks for all you do Rich to make the racing community safe. God bless and as always be safe 👍
Lol certainly wouldn't want to be sitting next to this little truck waiting on a light to drop! She's gonna be a whole new level of mean and we're happy to do our little part!
Shops like Lucore are hard to find People like y’all and the SRC Family are why I can’t wait for content ❤️🇺🇸❤️
The S10 is BACK! And it`s gonna take the opposition to Gapplebees. What a BEAST! Do your thing Rich, get it straight, a to b straight as a pin. Stay safe all, God Bless.
Certainly wouldn't want to line up against, or bet against this thing with Billy piloting it! Whole new ballgame for 2023. Took a lot of doing but have a pretty good feeling she's gonna be on rails!
Gotta love a shop that will actually break down what each step is actually doing when performing an alignment on a vehicle! Race or street it’s great information to pass along!
Can't wait to see how it rides. Thanks for all the tech tips. There are tons of tire and alignment shops but I have only found one guy who can get my car to go str8. Now I'm a customer for life.
Very interesting Rich. And I can vouch for the Green Lock-Tite. We use it on some parts that if they come lose, And out of adjustment. It would be ALL BAD for the operator. And could lead to serious injury or death. And thank you for the PSA on the loosening bolts on the upper control arms. One of those coming lose at the big end of a run could be a catastrophic ending for the driver and anyone near the car.
Rich, you are a master at setting up racing front ends!! Great job as always guys!! Gotta keep Billy going straight down the track!!
Thanks Billy, we do our best for everyone but for these boys it's even more important. Gotta keep these guys as safe and straight as possible!
Super Great play by Play presentation.
Works well on camera.
S-10 is going to be a beast.
Love all the detail Big Rob had a hand on working with Billy.
I'm so glad you guys are in business. You really are the kind of people that can be trusted. Thank you for all that you do to keep racers safe.
It's nice to see a shop and their service techs that are conscientious about their work and take pride in doing the best job possible. Goid job guys.
Great video I think what sets Rich apart his is patience and attention to detail and the drive to do it right the first time and the truck looks fantastic
Not giving up, and but being willing to walk away then come back to it is a huge part of success with this stuff. Don't get overly frustrated, and be willing to admit sometimes you need another pair of eyes or hands. If you never give up you'll never lose 😉 Thanks for the support Alan!
Thanks rich and crew for taking care of our boys
Rich you are very sharp on front-end geometry Lucore always gets it done and saves the day.
👍👍commenting for support! Rich points out the good and the bad. Attention to detail as well! 👍💪
up until I watched OMG when he had the Malibu at Lucore... I was under the impression Austin owned it and Rich was an employee....Definitely need some Lucore window stickers on the S10 and Falcon., Your suspension setup contributes to their success.
You are the MAN at race front ends!
This was a great video. I can see why Rich and lucore are the go to guys.👍
Your attention to all the details is amazing. Thanks for keeping ur boys going straight.
Rich, thanks for the education!!! Don’t worry about the noise, it’s a garage/shop it’s expected.
Great job on the S10. I love that you really care about the safety of these drivers too.
Come on Austin, its a Live Set and a hell of a Show!😉
Lol maybe one of these days we'll just do a live stream from the shop and people can see how this REALLY all goes without any editing ;)
@@LucoreAuto I’m just glad to see that hideous dog turd gone from the back of his head. LOL
I like to give Austin grief about that pony tail.
Love your video brother keep up your video brother. From Austin texas 👍👍😊
Glad it’s you they bring their stuff to. You are so particular,I know our little buddy will be safe. 👊🏻
Rich Getting After It. Team Lucore 💪💪
Never give up, keep on wrenching! We'll win in the end 😀
Comical and educational Rich as always lol. I used to be a front end man years ago, so pretty cool watching get my favorite S10 running straight
I always enjoy your videos . These racecar alignment videos really interest me for sone reason . I’d love to add an alignment rack to my home shop to learn the trade .
Woo Hoo time to break some hearts with the S10 again. I love watching you guys. I feel more knowledgeable after I see your videos. The Hoskinsons and Lucore make a good team.
I hope to see this bad boy someday soon! This truck is so awesome, I love what he did! Out with the old, in with the new old!!
There's a smart idea with the vacuum caps! 😂 💯
There's the right way, the wrong way, and the way that makes us not bleed! 😉
Sound: The fact that you are in a working shop with ambient noise isn't an issue, we understand. What you could do to help is to use a mic, if you voice is clear the other sounds are less important. When you record a second separate sound source you can adjust levels in editing.
Other RUclips mechanics I watch are using clip on radio mics. Allen from the Skid Factory often has his clipped to his hat.
Dealing with multiple sound sources does add extra complexity to editing but would make a massive difference to overall video quality.
Awesome job at setting his suspension as well as walking us through what you actually did! Great work and content!
What a blessing to have a Fantastic alignment shop so close!!! Props to Lucore for always Killen the game !!! 🇺🇸🏁🇺🇸
Love the video Rich, Great example of what it really takes to get anything done. LOL Nothing is ever simple. I gotta say, When We build things, nobody ever thinks of the other guy that has to follow us up, IE Alignment guy, interior guy or what ever task that is not being done by the car owner. I'm guilty of that too. So Good job on handling situations where the suck factor is a 10.
Man Jeff @ CIA did a killer job on the paint!!!
Heck yes he did! Ridiculous attention to detail!
thanks for helping billy amd keeping him
safer, good video, excrllent work
Great job getting it adjusted. I know it can't be as easy on a race vehicle. We don't know yet with Billy's new setup, but if it's anything like the history of the truck the front end will be off the ground for the first part of the track. I can hardly wait for some test hits. All the best to you guys! Keep it straight and keep it safe!!
Rich, I sure hope the people of the Columbus, Oh area appreciate what they have in Lucore Automotive.
A shop gets a vehicle in for a front end alignment, with parts on it that didn’t come on it and Rich Lucore does his magic.
I refuse to call you a technician because you are a master mechanic.
I just wish I lived closer to you rather than central Maryland to have things done. You Rich are the best.
Great video Rich. Thank you for the PSA on the upper control arms. That's good information to know.
Love the video and all your information on everything and letting people know some of the problems people are having with some things that are being used
Holy shit thank God you mentioned the hime joints, I checked both mine and they were both ready to fall out. So I now have them coated in the green lock. Thanks again for the important information 👍
great video.
And shows the quality of work.. Lucore does.
Rich your the racecar alignment wizard!!!
Time, patience, and a good understanding of geometry! Thankfully we get a whole lot of practice!
Yea I agree Rich no reason to be sorry this ain't your 100% money source we appreciate your videos just as they come
Love ur content. U really know what u r doing. Thanks to Billy an Bill from SRC, I found this channel
We are always grateful to have more of the SRC / OMG family here supporting us, and helping us support them! We really appreciate it Patrick!
Nice job need to find someone down here who can do what you can still looking forward to the break caliper deal thanks for the great videos
My man ain’t having no luck in this vid!!
shop videos should sound like a shop video... success... its all about the angle of the dangle.
Need to have the Lucore PSA segment. It's was explained in layman's terms so everyone understands. Thanks
Rich, you do great work and I really enjoy each and every video! One recommendation though, fender covers to protect paint.
Great job Rich!!
I know absolutely nothing about alignment, so these videos are very interesting for me. Tell Billy to fix that belt squeel.
A little shot of P B Blaster, or W D 40 on the belt with the eng. running & it will stop squealing.
Lucore does some good work, and for chassis work they know there shit.truck looks good with that killer patina paint work, never know you replaced the sheetmetal.
GREAT JOB. LOOKS LIKE A 1000 ALIGNMENT JOB
Great content guys , one small thing , Billy’s freshly painted fender might warrant a cover , unless he wants the patina, im sure you took the proper precautions
👍🏽🇺🇸👍🏽 awesome job Rich..
Great advice to be adware of
They know you will work on it till it's right. That's why your shop is always busy.
That's our strategy for winning 😉 Never give up, never surrender!
Can't wait to it run again good video
Your work is something to be very proud of
great attention to detail.. which i am coming to expect from you guys.. I learn something everytime.
Great job Rich!!! Thanks for sharing with all of us!!!
Great content Rich ! thanks for sharing your knowledge with us . I love these trucks , I have one of my own .
Thanks Mike! Great little machines, wish they were still building trucks like these! Clearly they have a WHOLE lot of potential too 😉
ive only one thing to say -- DAM YOUR GOOD !!!!!!
It’s a race car!!! Nothing like stock components. 🤙👍🤙👍
Great job Rich. Love your work. Thanks for sharing! ❤️💯
Very nice!! Sure beats these strings im using! I did at least get one of those fancy air bag jacks tho. 😁
Great job enjoyed the video Thanks for sharing from Alabama 🇺🇸👍
Thanks for sharing
Nice work mate.
great info!
truck looks freakin awesome man this video really shows alot of the work yall have put into this thing.
Can’t wait to see the truck back in the winning circle 🏁
It certainly won't be long! This thing is going to be a true monster!
Love the smiles while looking at it .
Thank y'all for the video, maybe some day we are going to try to run up y'all's way from N.C.
Just wondering rich do y'all get jobs in three's? Seems my shop has got a run on jobs in three's just curious is all great work brother. 👍
I like watching your videos you learn something everytime and good luck and be safe and God bless you
Love the content
Thanks Justin! We'll keep making it, you keep watching it!
I just had a failure of my heim joint on the drivers front one, broke the bolt right at the locking nut, going to move to a non heim joint set up for my 4050lb GTO that sees lots of track but way more Street! Thanks for sharing!
Love your work keep it up if I where closer I’d have you do my front end but I live in Nebraska and alignment centers at least good ones don’t exist the sucks
I'm a cheap ass so I just ratchet strap a peice of pipe to each of the front tires and measure off the back tires for toe in and bump steer would be nice to have all the pricey tools you have looks like it makes it super easy!!! It's nice to see how it's professionally done!!!
Something different I would like to see a Rat Rod build for Jeremy next 🇦🇺🇦🇺
Yall remind me if myself.keep it up.
GOODSTUFF GODSPEED & GODBLESS
Billy really caught everyone's attention with a few wheelies... now he has an extra 500+ hp and they took 300lbs out of the nose. Lol.
This is going to be interesting!
Good job
Great video and some awesome tech on the control arms. Thank you for that.
Good video Rich, the S-10 is gangster as fu$k 😎
Good job for sure and Thanks for sharing...
Lucore are the best people
Good job!
Weight of driver makes a difference to... Job well done
Indeed it does. On ANY of these sorts of alignments we load the drivers race weight in the seat and floor before doing any work. All part of the process.
Hell yea
We're ALL excited to see how this thing does for the 2023 season!
Think it will kick butt again with this engune
Trick I use when aligning a bump steer kit and I'm unsure is not using the lock nut until I'm done. Use a regular nut then replace it at the end.
that's a good tip. I use spacers on top so I only use the non locking part of the nut. That way I don't wear the nylon out.
Hey from Northern California I think a quiet shop is not making money a noisy shop sounds like a cash register to me you can always put on a little low rock and roll in the background
