    Horrible efficiency, but since most of the energy is free heat, it barely matters. Adsorbtion coolers should be mandatory in large buildings.

      Perfect summary. COP doesn’t matter. Only $/kw of cooling matters.

      Absorption refrigerators have low efficiency. Notice that B is the second letter. Adsorption refrigerators are 65% efficient, about the same as vapor compression. They have a lower volumetric performance and higher mass, but in static applications are ideal since they only need heat, not electricity unlike vapor compression.
