I’ll have to give it to you guys, without knowing the property line you were pretty freaking close!
Haha I thought the same thing!
Wow im so getting that type of ground put on my wood area. I currently have tarps with a layer of gravel and dry poured concrete on top of it.
Asphalt Millings work great
Jake and Chris great 👍 thing is that the shelter didn’t have to be moved so moving the millings wasn’t a great thing to move but at least no redoing the shelter 😮😊❤
I thought about that multiple times while doing this project!
Glad y'all found out about the boundaries now before you maybe expanded more!! Great reuse for the millings!! Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
Me too! Hate having to do work twice!
Found your channel when Adam from Hometown Acres was there.... You're one of my favs now! Really enjoy what you guys do, and especially enjoyed today's video. I've got the same tractor as you do... Too bad the water department didn't just cut you a break.... Nice work today!
Thanks so much for watching! I was hoping they would, at least they were understanding and gave me some time to
I’ve never seen any legitimate survey person or government entity use or be ok using trees as boundary markers.
They should be pounding metal stakes in the ground so they can be found with metal detectors years down the road when the trees die.
I’m guessing that’s why no one knew where the property lines were to begin with….
True, I was thinking that.
I agree, there are concrete markers that indicate property corners but the trees mark the “through lines”. On a property my size with the contours it’s impossible to see from one corner marker to another via a straight shot so I guess they use trees. Not the most accurate way to mark…
Your drone could be used to get a better line?
Chris's suggestion, Punkin is a cute name for your Kubota
How about Garfield? Or Heathcliff?
Too bad you had to lose time moving the millings. I liked the Doug/Adam princess reference😂.
lol you caught that!
Property/boundary "confusion" happens most frequently when there is change in ownership....what's most important is how amicably it is resolved. Fair play to you Jake - you held your hands up, and just got on with getting it sorted. 👏 if you do more millings to the back of the processor, could you relocate all your empty IBC totes so they are close to the conveyor....? Might improve workflow....???
Yep, not much else to do! I could potentially move the totes closer. I think having a road all the way around the shelter would help workflow
Punkin 👍. Gorgonzola? It's a Ford, more like Limburger 😅😅. They're making ya move it and the only time they'll do anything w it is when they remark the boundaries
Doesn't matter, it ain't his land. I have neighbors with that mentality towards others property. If it ain't yours you don't belong on it period !😮
Yep it’s unfortunate but gotta keep them happy!
@@MW-bz1qe as a farmer I know all too well...
Looks great guys! Glad it all worked out for you.
Thanks!
Geez, Aquarion aggressively enforce their property lines, huh?! Glad it wasn’t a large piece you guys had to give back!
Not really considering they hadn’t run out the property line in at least 5 years 😂
Hey Jake and Chris how are you doing I'm good got 4" of snow in Pennsylvania call it big punkin
Doing well Robert!
Oh well it happens. I once purchased a lot on a small lake and for a few years cleaned up dead tress and brush. Turns out I had been parking out someone else's lot having originally stood at a corner and viewed the map with the water to my back instead of the other way around.
Yikes!
Would there be any chance of leasing a small amount of land from the water department for storage only or limited use? Could be a win/win solution for both, especially if they do not use the land.
No I’ve inquired about purchasing a few acres abutting our property.
Good team work
Thanks!
Orange Crush!
The Orange Terror
Great video the property boundaries are always kinda wanky round here too we purchased our house over 12 years ago and I wanted build a garage and no one was certain of the property lines. Like urs it’s very wooded here no nice groomed lawns to go off of lol. I just assumed u owned back further as I seen deer stand in back round of videos I take it the stand an feeder is not urs
Yep little confusing when they go off old stone walls and such!
Ford made some great tractors back in the day. Especially the 2000 and 3000 models. Enjoy the firewood videos.
Thanks for watching!
Never had one, but I prefer the 86&9600s
Kobota- Pumpkin Ford - Blue Cheese
Looks like the right side needs a little more out, I would call the Kubota, Sunkist
I like it!
Just curious. What does a water district do with a forest?
There is a river back there that feeds a reservoir so the land behind my property is considered “buffer” to protect one of of the many sources
If the Ford is Gorgonzola the Kubota could be cheddar....
Ahaha I like this idea!
Jack O lantern for the Kubota 🎃.
Jake O lantern
Perfect!
"Mater"
Punkin sounds good
What is the water company.??
Aquarion
Har undrat länge om du har någon ögonsjukdom eller bara sponsrat att ha solglasögon när solen är i moln ?
I have a corneal abrasion on my right eye which I recently had surgery on and I am extremely sensitive to bright light due to having Lyme disease for 9 years. For that reason I wear sunglasses almost all the time, I am also sponsored by HeatWave Visual
I like punkin!
If the land plane works how about orange crush!
It worked well!
Time to have your property lines marked by a surveyor, not rely on a Forrester and the water company.
That might be something I need to do!
I think it is time for an excavator on your channel even though you have the backhoe the excavator would be a great improvement for you guys. Just an observation
I’d love an excavator! Saving up!
Opps, Double check there survey line, We had that issue here, we were sold property owned by someone else back in 1993 1.18 acres, take care❄️🪵🇺🇸
