    Thanks for hitting them all on the same spot on the blade and not being phony by spreading it across unused portions of the blade or taking pauses for letting it cool down (heat ruins the temper of the metal and is a common cause of premature wear when cutting metal)

    Fun fact about oscillating blades, they move so that your hand doesnt have to XD

    • @aronandreas
      @aronandreas 3 месяца назад +105

      When you cut metal you move the blade to distrubute the cutting to more teeth. If not there will be to much heat there will kill the blade.

    • @terrell07981
      @terrell07981 3 месяца назад +48

      They cut way better if you move them. The teeth clog up and wear down in that spot. Better to move it and get done faster and save some blade. After one spot is wore out it sucks trying to plunge cut something.

    I go out of my way to avoid hitting nails or screws with oscillator blades, it doesn't matter if they're made with some fancy carbide unobtainium teeth, they just don't handle them well due to poor cutter geometry. The center of that blade is already toast just from hitting those three screws alone, it could have gone through a lot more nails but screws are an absolute no-no. You're better off with a Sawzall blade or a grinder, or better yet, just remove the screws if possible. There may be some situations where that isn't possible but that's like 1 in 100 instances.

    Well boys, hate to break it to you, but I use these tools almost on a daily basis, haven't tried the Diablo carbide blades as of yet but I'm betting they're pretty much the same as Milwaukee carbide blades WHICH by The way are by FAR the best blades there are and I've used from Amazon bimetal trash to name brand titanium bimetal blades. You can takes these blades through 1/2" rebar and they're just getting started, now I'm not saying they're fast by any means, save that for 1/8" angle grinder wheels but I lay flooring and lots and lots of hard surface and use these to cut door jams, bymetal blades are well ok when you hit a couple nails in the jam or baseboard but the carbides are like a TIMEX WATCH, remember those, they TAKE A LICKIN AND KEEP ON TICKIN. the trick is to LET THEM CUT with as little pressure as possible working it back and forth slowly as to use the whole blade and not to overheat it in one spot which will significantly shorten any multi tool blade. I've cut several 3/8" and 1/2" rebar sticking up out of the floor. If they would come up with a blade that cuts steel and concrete/ceramic tile efficiently because the diamond blades don't work so well on ceramic. Maybe they do but I haven't seen it as of yet. NOW the carbides really don't work on metal industrial door casing like in a hospital ECT, but nails and screws you're good long as you use them the right way. DON'T expect them to be fast by forcing it through but expect them to work when used correctly and for a good bit of time. At $35-40 for two you might want to keep that in mind. Stay safe and God bless.

    In my experience the absolute best Multitool blades, jig saw, sawzall blades always come from small specialized manufacturers….they’re the only one es that justifies the price outside of that 10 blades for $20 from Amazon or harbor freight is better than 1 or 2 for $30 when the cheap ones last nearly as long and u get 10xsmore for less money….no brainer

    Es útil en espacios muy reducidos donde no entra la amoladora o la segueta manual. En un caso como el del video prefiero una segueta manual.

    I hate to tell you this, but my Dremel can cut nails and screws with the approriate cutting wheel for a fraction of the price of a vibrating tool.

    Why are you moving your hand side to side? Let's see the blade after cutting those, I'm curious about the wear after those few cuts.

    unless the blades are made with diamond those teeth are getting chewed up quick. Use some diagonal cutters for nails or something like that, the multitool just isn't up for too much metal cutting even with the right blades

    EZArc has been making carbide multi tool blades for years, same thing. Get 3 for the price of 1 Diablo

    It’s obvious how many people here don’t actually use this tool on a job site. I’d be sold with just the three construction screws.

    Those are the only blades I buy but they don’t last all that long either when cutting a lot of nails or screws.
