Giveaway closes on Thursday 27/8/20 at 16:00 GMT! Note that I am NOT a CELTA Tutor, as I mention on the website and in various places so please don't ask me anything too technical as that is best for your tutors! Thanks, Steve.
Good evening, thank you for all these feedbacks and support through your channel. I find it very useful and educational. I strongly believe you’ve become a great teacher, as in my opinion, it’s all about transparency and determination to encourage development for success. It would be a pleasure to be part of your encouragement and support for future candidates. Many thanks in advance, for an acception regarding the support you’re very kindly offering. :) Kindest regards.
Hi, Steve! Thanks for the video! Awesome content, as usual. I've heard from several sources (friends and colleagues) that, during the course, celtees are taught and expected to elaborate incredibly detailed lesson plans. I wonder how much of it really is feasible. I mean, as teachers, we do not usually have that much time to devote to each single lesson as they deserve, so we end up managing. Which parts of the lesson plan are indispensable for tight-scheduled teachers?
I would say to go with what your tutors are really keen on and play the psychological card, focusing on the bits that they think are the most important and reducing the detail on the parts that they think are less important. Hope that helps. Steve
Alreyht Steve lad, don’t suppose you’d be able to do a video tailored for someone who has passed the Celta recently and got a job lined up for September but wondering what I can do in the meantime to make sure I hit the ground running?
Thank you for that explanation in detail. I am doing my CELTA part time in September. I will surely keep these point in mind.. My question is, 'Does CELTA have a provision to improve the accent of the learner?'
I think the answer is that you will focus on pronunciation at various points so that's where you would have an opportunity to talk about accent, although I don't think accent would be a major focus in a lesson. Hope that helps.
Hi! I am starting my CELTA in two weeks, I am super excited (and also pretty nervous) about it. I have been watching all of your videos to prepare for it! :) My question is the following: should the assignments be written in an academic style, using citations and so on? Thank you!
Hi. The assignments should be written with academic citations but they have a slightly less formal style than most university essays, allowing for some reflection. Hope that helps.
Hey there! I'm doing my CELTA course now full time. So, there are so many questions to ask. But to be short I would like to ask how to do the LA while preparing the LP? If my lesson is on grammar with the main aim, and speaking with the sumaim, do I analyse every single word or structure? Thanx in advance :) I have an assignment for LA. This is the most complicated part for me :(
Do you have a slightly less technical question? I will struggle to answer this one as I'm not a CELTA tutor (as I've stated on my site as elsewhere)! Thanks 👍

I hope they help!
thanks for the info. Do you know if you can repass the celta for free if you fail at it the first time or do you have to repay it all
I think you have to pay again in full

Hello helper ! Do you think some personalities fits best for the CELTA course than others ?
Extroverts and those who are willing to work. I am an introvert and it's hard but it gets easier.
I’ve applied for my celta course recently. I’m excited but nervous also btw you sound local your accent. I’m from cardiff where you from
I'm from Swansea. Best of luck with it all 👍🏻

I don't think so, my Celta tutor's accent is terrible, coming from Indonesia, getting troubles understanding her in days, frustrated.
