- Heading out for a day or two of sightseeing during your Islamabad trip is going to be fun, trust me! You have a wonderful array of options to choose from that include a 2,000-year-old UNESCO Site, a breathtaking lake, the iconic Faisal Mosque and Pakistan Monument ... and even a treehouse to enjoy a meal perched high above the city at sunset. I was supposed to do this itinerary (and more!) over two days but in the end, had to pack it all into a single day so it's missing the cute cafes and a nearby mountain where I planned to watch the sunrise (so do a bit of research on your own and try to block two days for sightseeing to round out your own perfect itinerary).

As a solo traveller, they took great care of me. The owner said they work with large groups just as easily, too. Totally recommend them! The owner is Zeeshan, just tell him you want to follow this itinerary for an absolutely perfect day. I enjoyed. Everything is very beautiful. We have sulfur baths in Georgia, these are the hot waters coming out the ground and when you come here you can enjoy bathing there

As Angela will not be travelling to the North of Pakistan she could have seen something similar it’s an area called tatah pani (hot water) a stream where the water is boiling hot

Yes, such a pretty location. We had bad luck with a bit of smog sadly but the view towards sunset was perfection.

Hey Angela, just to clarify, in the mosque, the only real rule that you would have to be careful of would be the seperate sort of areas for the men and the women. Once you get to the womens area, there arent really any more things you need to worry about, apart from showing skin I guess, because that isnt allowed and would be seen as disrespectful. Enjoying your videos! :D

Thank you for highlighting ancient ruins of modern day Taxila. Really close to Islamabad and should be on the itinerary for history, archeology and architecture enthusiasts. As you already stated these ruins are located saperate from each other geographically in the same region of Gandhara. They dont just represent different time periods (earliest being around 800-500BC) are also archeologically distinct.

I have to laugh - I went to Taxila by public transport and all I found was the museum and a sunken field, I missed so much because I didnt have a guide. Which I didnt bother with back in 2004 because I tried to really do it on the cheap. I would definitely get a guide going back. Love the monument too I didnt see that maybe it wasnt around 17 years ago? It's quite beautiful thanks for another awesome video!
