Thanks! Having surfed the net and youtube for a while I found this video to be one of the most helpful in preparing a Montessori environment for my daughter.
+Matthew Wright Thanks - that's great to hear. I also recently did a blog post with some inspiration from my classroom. Maybe useful toowww.themontessorinotebook.com/how-to-make-a-classroom-cosy/. I think these principles are also important: www.themontessorinotebook.com/montessori-on-a-budget/
Wow! This is wonderful! We just started working with Marie Mack on our own Montesorri set up and she recommended this video and I'm so glad she did. I have so much to learn -- thanks for this great intro!
Thank you for your video~ This is so simple and clear! May I ask how should I let my child choose the toy to work on? Do I just show them the work corner, once they have picked one activity, I direct them to the table/chair or mates, I show them how to play first? Then only let them play? My kid is just 14 months.
It can be very simple at home but you can include the same areas here at home as well - eye-hand coordination, music and movement, art and craft, language, and practical life activities
@@jactreemontessori yes thanks but I want to know to get professionalism in my work ! I've done my Montessori diploma ,& now upto learn more relevant to my field so what kind of knowledge I require to open up a Home based Montessori for example ;Child psychology , nutrition , etc is helping?
@@ubsmenu7630 Sorry that I misunderstood your question. Yes, Montessori is very holistic so you will want to understand everything about child development. So I would recommend a Montessori study to run a home-based Montessori program. You can find more information here: themontessorinotebook.com/where-to-do-Montessori-training
Hi. I'm sending my child to a non-Montessori school but want to do Montessori at home if I can. I dont have much space in my lounge room like you have in this video. I also dont want the entire house to look like a Montessori classroom if possible. How can i do Montessori at home in a small way?
+Dina Zaitman Hi Dina, You may find this video useful of a home in Amsterdam that is just 50m2 with lots of Montessori ideas and still looks cosy: ruclips.net/video/h2M2Uo_LAms/видео.html. I also run an ecourse on setting up your spaces at home if you want to go into it in more detail room by room. Good luck!
So glad you found it useful. There's another video I've just uploaded about small space. Maybe interesting too! ruclips.net/video/h2M2Uo_LAms/видео.html
Montessori is an alternative approach to education. Instead of the teacher standing in front of the classroom and deciding what the children need to learn, the materials are placed in the classroom for the children to work through at their own pace, with the assistance of the teacher and older children in the class. The same principles can be applied at home.
This is the most wonderful and simple straight forward demonstration i have ever seen .. thank you so much
I'm so happy to hear it's helpful. Let us know how you go!

I set it up in an attractive way mostly for them to explore themselves. You can show them when they seem frustrated how to get further.
Great job Simone!
Thank you so much. Very kind of you.
this is perfect! would love to see more how-tos like this.
Great! Glad its useful. I've got a couple more to edit together that I'll post here. Watch this space!

Leaving a question hopefully it will be responded:
