    If you strain white rice, use the strained starchy rice water to boil your bamboo. It removes any bitterness and gives it a smooth flavor.

    On the cyanide content, bamboo shoots should have B17 , a vitamin similarly found in apricot seeds ( and most seeds, apple seeds are one of them) , a claimed cancer treatment supplement. Recently, there was an article on cassava and like you said, high in cyanide and Vitamin B17. Perhaps, it is good for frequent consumption to ward off cancer?

    • @kisansab9129
      @kisansab9129 7 лет назад

    • @forthosewhoHUNGER
      @forthosewhoHUNGER 5 лет назад +2

      kisan sab B17 IS a successful aid in CURING cancer. It has been purposely and FALSELY vilified to keep people sick and fuel profits for the cancer industry.

    • @forthosewhoHUNGER
      @forthosewhoHUNGER 5 лет назад +5

      Daniel Voon YES, Vitamin B17 IS a way to ward off and even CURE cancer. People really need to do their own research and STOP blindly believing everything they’re told but those who seek to profit from their continued sickness.
      There is no money in healthy people. Doctors, hospitals, the pharmaceutical industry… They all need us to be chronically ill in order to pad their pockets with our money.

    • @nancyfahey7518

      I heard if you eat the seed whole, as animals and birds do, it's not poisonous. It's when one gets caught in the blender with my fruits and veggies that I end up hanging over the porcelain thrown. 2 capsules of activated charcoal takes care of it.

    Ten years ago I planted only one clump of Japanese timber bamboo because I didn't know how well it would grow in the desert of West Texas. It's done really well and I have a good sized area with runners going out about 20 feet this year. In another ten years I should have a good sized forest. Bamboo is amazing how well it grows here even in such a dry area. Being green year round gives the area some color through the winter. The soil is improving from all the leaves decomposing. Quite a few turtles stay in there during the summer. It's nice to have my own little forest. So far the tallest are only ten foot tall, but it's supposed to be able to grow to 60 feet tall and be six inches in diameter.

    Sir, if I were you, I would first Wash, split open, and then boil the the bamboo shoots for about 12hrs just to kill off all the cyanide inside the bamboo shoot. This is just a health precaution.

      How about boiling then put it in another pot to boil more?
      Where does the cyanide go? Does it dissipate in the steam and air.
