He could've won that fight if he didn't go for the submission and just kept hitting him with the elbows on the ground I remember seeing him fall and thought he knocked him out but he went for the choke instead of him with elbows but it was still a crazy fight

Jiri was leading the fight all throughout but it wouldn’t have been a good fight if Reyes wasn’t relentlessly coming up with counters. This is what makes this fight so good and shows how good Jiri is. To fight like this with a guy who will not stop coming at you even after getting hit from everywhere shows how good Jiri is. I’m somewhat of fan of Reyes but that’s not going to prevent me from appreciating Jiri.

Jiri's timing, deception, unrelentlylng pressure and his ability to select the right weapon in the moment is just on another level. The trajectory of his punches and how he uses his body mechanics to throw his strikes is unusual but very effective. He was all over Reyes and never gave him room or breath. The only question is Jiri's ground game. I think he will beat Jan on the feet but I wonder if Jan can control Jiri if he took him down..

Actually, Jiri fought Rizin fights... 2 rounds. 1st 10 minutes straight, second 5 minutes! I was ROFL when they thought Reyes's stamina could be better in long run. No F-king way. ;)
His journey through Rizin with rounds for 10 minutes was a very good choice. Now he's benefiting from it in the UFC where he has an incredible physical fund and even with a very illegible style he's a danger in his division and he's a hot candidate to be the best.

One of the best fights I’ve seen. This one hurt, hate to see Dom go out but Jiri’s machine like style vs Reyes’ heart and power made for a hell of a war. Reyes never stopped fighting, he never quit and went out on his shield. Dom showed he’s a dog and Jiri is a huge problem at LHW.

He was always like that. Feels no pain, no fear, no exhaustion. As a young fighter he was at least too chaotic so you could catch him (like Lawal did). But now? Scary methodical chasing leading to the murder. And my boy still thinks he was horrible that night. Yeah so Idk if I wanna see him at his best night. Might be over for the other side for real.
