the biggest difference seems to be render distance on objects/props in the map. Maybe some AA settings, but even low/medium looks very good
and maybe some more bumpmapping on higher settings

I was actually talking about EA in general tho, the most photorealistic games always come out as EA titles and they're all very well optimized.
I notice only subtle difference in shadow between low and ultra, but I think sacrificing almost half of FPS is not worthy. Maybe some explosion or destruction can make the difference become more apparent.

Mistery is right in a way, if you put everything on Low and activate Tessellation, you get 80-90% of the same game on Ultra, the difference will be the textures and objects in the distance.
The difference is there in my eyes, it will be even more apparent ingame. RUclips compression takes out some detail

There is actually no perceivable difference between high and ultra... and high gives you 20 extra frames.

Candyland - if you're doing stationary shots, could you upload videos in 30fps instead please? RUclips heavily distorts the image quality and sharpness when videos are uploaded in 60fps. It's particularly problematic when we're trying to appreciate the game's anti-aliasing, texture quality, etc.

Basically play on high settings with AA and Post AA off and it will look even better than all on Ultra settings and save you lots of FPS.

hmm why DX12 not enabled?? and low settings looks cool to, bcs. what wil you make wrong on photometrie and a good engine :-)
They don't enable it because it causes performance issues with Nvidia cards, glad I picked up a R9 390 DX12 capable card with 8gb vram!
Jacob Olson hmm i saw videos from jackfrags in 4k dx12 on a Geforce 1080, and other youtube users played the alpha with a 980 and dx12 enabled.
dx12 does not work at the current time for the game. Digital Foundry noted that.

So as I see PC has water reflections on any settings (even on low) while 'next-gen' consoles not having at all (comparing with Candyland previous video).
This performance is insane! 100fps on a 770 on medium-high. I mean 64 player, vehicle, destruction and photorealistic graphics.
Of course it is, because it has to run 60 fps on consoles.
It's very easy to run this game at high fps because you don't have 63 other players in the game it will drop alot in game.
***** It will be ~INSANE~ on release day for sure. Like previous installments.

how do you know? Im playing the PS4 version and it looks great, I think it's High (obviously I csn be wrong but that's what it looks like to me). Plus, 60FPS. I don't care much about 900p as long as the game is fluid.

and the winner is...medium just slightly only because it looks very close realistically to the naked eye and so does high the only reason why its because of medium at the beginning on high it looks like game graphics due to sharpness of the tree when walking down the road. The reason why ultra came last was only because the sharpness was to sharp which is good but then when something looks to sharp or to low it ends up being like a realistic game, example: (Battlefield 3, 4, Hardline not so much but still and Battlefield 1) or a crappy one but not really however low graphics is just the brightness of the game as well as for medium and that's why I chose low as number 3 which can be for number 1 as well due to the fact that low and medium are the same thing which is only the brightness of the game

So all it does is change the LOD distance really, lower quality you just get more pop in and some low res shadows.

Am i the only one who didnt see a single difference? Only difference i saw was that on low the textures loads when you are closer to them while on ultra it loads when you are far

so I'm gonna guess no point playing on ultra settings since there is very little difference?
RUclips compression, recording compression, etc. And there is a big difference between playing the game and seeing some clips, so I would wager the difference between Ultra and Low is much bigger, but the real gem of this video is to realize that, even with all that compression, low settings looks that frickin' good!

why dx12 was disabled?
Even at low it still looks great. Only thing bad is the Anti-Alising, and Terrain quality bump those up you have graphics equivalent to High. Dice had always made great PC ports, granet not servers on release date but thats a problem in consoles too

In some cases the low settings actually looks better because of the AA turned off which makes the game look more clear to me. At least in this video.

in closed beta i am getting 60 fps ( vsync on ) with a gtx 760 on low-medium-high even ultra but at that setting it drops to 54-56 when there's a sandstorm or close to fires.

I'm not the best with laptops, but I think it should be able to. If you are still unsure when it comes out, I would look for a video or post of someone using one and see how it does.

Pretty sure graphics are as good as they are gonna get in BF1. Or at least that's what it looks like.
I played it on low and from low to medium is no diference from low to high, ultra there is a diference at lighting, vegetation, shadows, and a bit of textures ... anyway this game is one of the most good visual gane i ever seen
This has to have some of the best graphics i've ever seen in a game! Getting this game for sure even more so if the campaign is good! YES some of us love campaigns in FPS war games, last one that was any good was world at war.
my laptops screen is 1336x768... i cant appreciate all of the details on ultra :(
