I would love to know how much profit that Woolworths and Coles made out of banning the free plastic shopping bags, virtually 50% of everything in the shop is plastic now, all the glass containers are gone, and they banned the most useful plastic article as they were mostly used for garbage liners in the kitchen which now everybody has to buy as well as buying carry bags which they would be selling millions.

Overblown. Woolworths is one of the best companies in Australia employing over 200,000 directly and indirectly. Have invested billions of dollars in Australia, and giving us shareholders a return on our investment.
We don't want companies in Australia to no make a profit. That way employees keep getting paid, suppliers get paid, and our super funds increase over time.
Let's pick on the local takeway store or hairdresser that only accepts cash and push no sale on the cash register.

There are plenty of farmers out there that feel fortunate to have a supply contract with Woolworths and make a lot of money from it. My wife shops at Aldi mostly, you don't have to shop there. You can support your local fruit shop, butcher and bakery.
You have to create your own equity it is not delivered on a plate. Get an education, work hard, spend less than you earn, save a little, don't do drugs. Enjoy your life.

@@marcoschena99 It is possible for them to make a profit without price gouging though. Woolworths' business practices are highly unethical and harmful to society at large. Remember this is the company that stole at least $571 million in wage theft over just a couple of years. Employing a vast workforce doesn't count for much if they're stealing from their own staff.
I'm not sure that the people skipping meals because they can't afford groceries are going to find much comfort in the super fund argument. That sentiment seems a little out of touch.
