Collect Logs From a Nexus Switch
When you encounter an issue on your Nexus switch that requires troubleshooting or a request for assistance from CPSD technical support, it is important to collect as many details around the issue as possible. A technical support file can be exported from the affected Nexus switch in order to capture log output, and a snapshot of the switch from the time of failure.

is this a cisco switch? you shouldnt use putty it can generate tac-pac (show-tech) by itself and theres even ways to generate in a comparessed format or without laoding the CPU too much.

Hi Jokar Rahmit,
the shown method of generating logs will allow you to generate logs on your PC instead of saving those on the switch storage. While this may be ok for smaller configurations or switches with larger capacity, it can impact the storage of your switch on larger configurations or on smaller switches.
If you prefer, you can use tac-pac. Please see this method as an alternative way to generate logs without using the switch internal storage.
