Requirement Such as if you need just switching on your network or if your network is very small . Then is there is no point going for l3 switch which will have more complications than l2 Routers are pure l3 devices and I guess will cost more than l3 switch. Yes in some router you will see 2-4 Ethernet ports you can add and which can do switching

Cool..but the L logical link control was missing to explain..LLC provides multiplexing mechanism that enables several network protocol to coexist to be transported over the same network medium...and also provide flow control and automatic repeat request ARQ. ( although modern switches do not operate it..because this feature is now present at the transportation layer (TCP)...Also the MAC layer CSMA/CD carrier sense multiple access with collision detection was not mentioned...which synchronizes,detect data collisions working in the frame transmission...nowadays is a deprecated technology..but it is worth mentioning...modern ethernet network no longer need to use it because each collision domain is now isolated...
I just got a L3 Cisco 3850 and am at a bit of a loss how to implement it in my home network. Do I have to buy the network module to plug into my router? Will plugging a L3nswitch 8jtona wireless router make a ton of problems?

Can I use a one L3 switch to create 3 VLANs and do inter-LAN routing, without having to use a L2 switch? i'm trying to figure out the capabilities difference between the L3 switch and a router.
Yeah, I was also confused as to whether it's at L2 or L3 switches where you create the VLANs. Do I need both for Inter-LAN routing? If I already have a L2 switch with multiple VLANs, why not use a router instead of L3 switch for inter-Lan routing?
Great content but still would like to share feedback if you take it in a professional way. :) Often times you finished your sentences quickly, it's all good for Indians to understand but you have a world level audience so maybe you can go a little smooth on that part. Due to the quick finish, you ended up correcting yourself more than ones and hence you can work on it if you like. Just saw one typo but shouldn't be a problem. yes you can create 3 vlans and do intervlan routing on l3 SWITCH...
