The 33 was never a particular favourite of mine, preferring the 52 then 50, but I absolutely yearn now for those days of a 33 loco hauled trains. All that said, looks like you had a fantastic day Simon and a great 21st gift.
Nice one, I drove 33012 at Swansea years ago, great experience, they're definitely one of the better designs BR chose to use. I liked the driving position from either side of the cab!🙂👍
A good loco instructor shouldn't lean over the trainee/paying driver....there is nothing more off putting than that....the only time you should lean over is to banjo the brake in a emergency....not dissing the instructor but constructive criticism...got from a to b safety job done
