Viv seems like the sweetest guy. Every interview I've ever seen with him has been great. I feel so bad for him here. Bain dying had to be horrific for him and he seems like he is doing his best not to cry.
I wish the band would open every interview with "If you ask me what gunter glieben means I'm gonna punch you where you pee". Christ man its been 34 years, its been answered, look it up and come up with something original!
Some People bitching about how bad the Cruise was... Here are some facts, There was some very specific reasons as to why the cruise was shit... Joe Elliott got a dose of laryngitis and couldn't sing properly, the Ferry couldn't dock at most of their ports because of bad weather. And worst of all was before they went on when Jimmy Bain (who was in Vivian's side project Last in Line, and was bassist for Dio while Vivian was his guitarist) was found dead in his Cabin. All that was above their control. The Guys really were putting on a front here, trying very hard to keep the show going.
There were some disappointments that I understood were out of everyone's control. My friends and I still had a great time overall. The MSC staff was the worst part of the cruise for me, and I had to dispute charges on my CC due to not receiving the drink packages that I paid for.
Luke, yes he was really good in Dio but I think he screwed up big time when he left 1986. He then joined Whitesnake but was fired after only one year. He joined Def Leppard after Adrenalize, which really was their last great album. So he hasn't contributed anything legendary on DL. Had he stayed on a bit longer with Dio, maybe even 2 or 3 albums more, I think he would have been a legend. What a pity. Now he's just a good guitar player.

The cruise from hell. I said it was a bad idea the minute I heard about it. This band is way above doing cruise shows.

Quiet genius. A mate did tech on tour with him recently and said he was a really good guy. Last in Line made me pick up the guitar, he's a legend.
