I met VP at a Stars game in 1998 when I was 16. Pantera was my favorite band at the time. I noticed his unique beard/sideburns and I couldn't believe my eyes when I realized that's who was standing in front of me in the concession line. I pulled up my Stars jersey and showed him my Pantera shirt. He gave me a big "HELL YEAH!!!" and a hug and signed my ticket. It was a truly surreal experience that I'll never forget.
I had the pleasure of meeting the Abbot brothers and they were the nicest dudes I've ever met. They both took the time to chat for a minute when all I wanted was a handshake. Luddy is the real deal and I admire his friendship with Vinnie.
Luds!!! I had a blast at The Big Apple! Working for the Stars was so much fun! God I loved it! Miss working there! I spent some time with Ed Belfour recently! We had a damn good time!
He was such an amazing guy. Never had the “rockstar” attitude, and treated everyone the same way, with respect. I feel so fortunate to have been able to share a the stage with him, and work with him on my bands record. CFH for life!!!!
What happens when you get two rowdy Texans together with some rowdy Northern U.S./Canadians? The Stanley Cup gets damaged... LOL I really hope Vinnie played "All My Rowdy Friends Are Coming Over Tonight" by Hank Williams Jr, at least ONCE that night!!! These are some of the most deep cut stories of Vinnie I've ever heard. Vinnie and Dime were the MOST down to earth "rock stars" to ever live. BLACK TOOOEEOOTH!!!!
I know it's 4 years on, now, but wow. Thanks for sharing, Craig. That's a true, caring friendship. The wife and I have been Stars STH's since day one (a fortuitous leap of faith, lol!), we've had a chance to bump shoulders with you, Craig, a time or two, and our son even had the chance to play bantam hockey with your step-son one year, so we know just a sliver of some of the real-world experiences and relationships behind the scenes. Every Stars fan knows about the Stars' special relationship with Pantera, and the smart ones know about that special friendship with Pantera and you, in particular! (And Matty, too? lol) To say I'm envious is an understatement (lol), what a friendship and experiences you guys had, you are truly blessed! For Stars fans (and Pantera fans!) everywhere, I say thanks again for sharing, Craig. You're as awesome, genuine, and down-to-earth guy as they come. And remember, friendships never die, they're only paused temporarily. Peace.
Worked with a good guy 2 yrs ago. He had met Dime in an airport while on return from vacation. Got his auto graph on his arm. As soon as he returned home got his fVe tattoo shop to ink it on his opposite leg , calf area. It turned out great. Rip from all us fans.
Absolutely true Meet them in 1985. Awesome guys. We partied after the show and ever since. Saw Darrell two months before. Saw V P last just before. Thank you for this video.

I saw Vinnie a number of years ago at an LA Kings game hanging out with Zakk Wylde and Mike Inez. Vinnie had on a Stars jersey.
I played softball against him in the u.p. caught his line drive at shortstop..pretty cool.
Vinny on Vinny. Dig it!
