I am female, diagnosed 2 1/2 yrs ago. Have had wonky symptoms since my mid-thirties. The last 25 yrs have tried to tell drs of my pain. By their response, I was either a drug-seeker, or a crazy old lady-complainer. Your little brought tears to my eyes. Oh how I wish the drs. Way back when had known more, hadn’t gotten stuck on diagnosing MS for me (brain CT scan, I was ataxic). Eventually that was ruled out. Finally I went to a NEW ortho doc, pled my case and begged him to take me seriously and find out why my hip pain just kept getting worse. Finally an MRI and the diagnosis. I was far along in my MM, but I do thank God for doctors like you and Dr. David Vesole who have dedicated your lives to savings others. He and Dr. Munshe have certainly extended mine.

How long did you have multiple myeloma before you were diagnosed if you don't mind me asking?

Doctors are like screwdrivers, if one doesn't work get another one.
