In this video I run down Homefront: The Revolution on PS4, why it's such a horrid game and even directly compare it to some of the worst games I've played in the past, to explain why I think it is the worst EVER.

I mean this is the dudes opinion so it might not be the worse for others but it is for him
i agree. the cities are convincing, the game still looks great on low graphics on pc, but (and i hate to say this ) the game is lacking. even the door animations dont work right (your hand goes through the door). another thing is the fact that guns have dumb ass names like assault rifle and battle rifle when m4 and m14 would have sufficed

+Dnbray if you have not played games for long time ,. then yes its playable and fun . For any other gamer this is piece of ^%*&# 1 its a copy of farcry 2 and practicly all the game elements have been introduced in other titles but those games just did it better. If you also think about the fact that this is a full price game. Its just technicaly a real mess ( played it on PC ) not to mention the AI is just laughable. Loved homefront 1 couldnt wait for this game but after 2 hours of playing i just couldnt continue playing this uninspired game from a developer who just wanted to cash gain from the game;s legacy

I'm sure these criticisms are justified but with only 3 hours gameplay it sounded more like anger caused by high expectations that were never met and the fact you just lost $60 out of your own pocket.

Crossbow and its alt forms and the "Liberty Launcher" are genuinely garbage, almost as bad as the pistol they immediately give you an SMG alt form replacement for.
>$60 for a 40 hour game is bad

>can't snipe/aim because turning up sensitivity is hard (even if framerate is a problem, should have gotten it on a better weapon)
You can very easily switch between weapon mods in the middle of combat, it's called crouch behind cover and make the changes quickly. It's well doable even when blackout drunk and on the hardest difficulty. It also takes some tactical awareness, don't do it when the norks are swarming and flanking you. Simple!

I had to stop watching and comment because after 10mins of his rant, I couldn't take it anymore. As a reviewer you should know better than to make a review that ends up turning into a 14min rant. Every negative you said could have been a basic list of those issues, but this "review" if you even want to call it that, was no more than you dissecting each and every negative about this game because in reality you just wanted to vent your anger.

I agree on most points, though he sounded REALLY bitchy when he was talking about the weapon customization. People aren't going to wait for you to shoot them, they tend to move around, that isn't an issue with the choppy frame rate

Im playing the game 1 year late and I think it is pretty fun, the only problem I had is sometimes I fell through the map but that was mostly because I glitched the game.

I think the hearts and minds aspect is completely logical to this game. Not sure what he's all bent out of shape for.

It's the combination of having low frame rates and dead-zones on the input. You ever play Killzone 2? Remember how if you moved your right stick I tiny bit, the camera didn't move at all; it only moved once a certain level of input had been reached. That's a dead zone. That's what's in this game. That's why aiming sucks. Dead zone aiming is hard enough, but coupled with low frame rate it's damn near impossible.

Hey man stating how many vids you do, and talking about how long you’ve done them is what’s called “argument of authority”. It’s basically “because I have done all that it makes my say more-credible or more-right”.
A person who has never reviewed games on RUclips can be right just from the experience of playing them as opposed to a person doing 50,000 vids can be wrong after experiencing a game.
So “doing vids that are review based” doesn’t mean you’re right.
It only means you have great experience editing and uploading vids.
That aside, it sounds like the majority of the issue with this game for you is the frame rate. Which at 30 frames per second the game Destiny on the 360 was completely fine in sales and replay ability.
The devs using the same npc models, not creating more, and the gear customization, on top of the lack of content support no matter what’s promised to be free is the clear issues.
30fps can be a deal breaker, the co-op support is nice, and for a game that suffered dev hell this games a 15 dollar purchase at best.

Actually, in this game the big difference is that you use Transition Kits to change your base weapons into completely different categories. So for example, your pistol becomes a submachine gun, your assault rifle becomes a light machine gun and a mine launcher, and your crossbow becomes a Blunderbuss shotgun and a flamethrower. Crysis only allowed you to customize surface attachments on your weapons.

Alien:Colonial marine was way worse than this.
+Apex Predator Colonial Marines was a bad game, but it was actually playable on PC, which is the version I did play.
+KO Gaming it was playable on all versions, console/Pc. But the bugs, poor (and I mean ps2/360 on next gen poor) graphics, and ludicrous story plot, made the game diabolical.
Homefront isn't at all perfect. But in my opinion, I've played way worse games.

As soon as he says you can't even aim at the enemy to shoot them I just knew this guy has no idea what he's talking about. I played this game for 2 days and then beat it on the hardest difficulty. Yes he is right about the game being laggy and all that but you have to think about the idea and just the concept of the game it's good and if "you can't aim" cause of the lag when I could then maybe you just need to either fix your sensitivity settings or maybe up your gaming lvl sadly for you there is no setting for that

Yeah, your problem is that you are making the assumption that people who think it's a shit review must think Homefront The Revolution is a good game. I disliked it, because it's a shit video, not because I think it's a good game. He is whiney as hell, a bunch of the conclusions he comes to are kinda dumb, he massively over exaggerates when he claims it's the worst game ever, the editing is god awful, he makes the same fucking point about 10 times....it's just a bad review.

Uncharted 4 only runs 60 on multiplayer. The framerate actually chugs alot in SP. Literally into the 20's especially with smoke and explosions.
What do you mean 'alot'? Its constant 30 except for some of the heavy action setpieces.

Hasn’t aged well
Homefront the revolution had issues but honestly, If you spent more time aiming than you spent trying to pick faults you'd find the game more playable. That being said I found the game reasonably fun but wasn't anything special. I hope there's a sequel but I don't expect it tbh. The quick switch mods on weapons wasn't as bad as you made it out to be. Quick tap the buttons and it goes 10x faster. Try playing with your thumbs, not your toes.

My rig did fine with it I honestly never got that. Solid 60fps throughout.
ikr it's stupid how Warner Bros. interactive didn't seek on giving out refunds or at least hot fix the mechanics, so the optimization won't fall flatter than Ride to Hell: Retribution since Arkham Knight had numerous bugs and glitches since day one on PC(not counting glitches from pirated copies either).

THQ should have just released a sequel to *"Frontlines:Fuel of War"* That game was one of the funnest games to play on the 360. And it had a great story & multiplayer.

he's done playthroughs for almost every game release, including a lot of multiplayer and dlc coverage, plus fan multiplayer gaming and classic game throw backs. it's possible because it was his hobby and now his living.

Framerate seems fine to me. Repetive missions aren't new to gaming, and certainly didn't begin with Far Cry either. Perhaps you just need a break from gaming in general because, really, they're all repetitive after a while--just like the game of life. Find something else to distract yourself with until you come to this realization.
