  • This is my second downhill on that hill, The second day of downhill at all. It's super fun, an adrenaline rush and all goodies! Love it!
I bet I can do better with more practice and confidence.
    Longboard: Pantheon Pranayama.
    Skateboard experience: 5 weeks.

51 km/h on a pair of TKP trucks!
But, don’t push your limits too far. You might get speed wobble. I think you should be satisfied with 51 Kph.

I reckon probably can push it to 60, with the tight set. For more, I'll need proper downhill gear.

You might find it beneficial to fit a soft (78a-81a) Venom HPF Eliminator boardside. I find it greatly improves TKP handling and stability at speed, while still allowing the excellent turning they're known for. Legit just stock roadside bushings and an orange elim is usually perfect.

Eventually I've ended up buying new board just for DH. This pranyama is great for pushing, super comfy for cruising but to scarry on speed above 40km. On another board I have no problem with getting up to 60kmh on that road in more controlled manner.

@bartek... I just bought a trip carbon indian hills with a 43 degree angle paris truck in the back and 92 mm karma wheels. Gonna get a combo of orange and purple loaded niple bushings. Do you think that would be just fine for speeds you're doin in this video and perhaps even faster?

Wow that's amazing! I'm a newbie, any tips on how to learn to footbrake that well?

Practice, practice, practice. Also lovering center of mass is helping a lot, plus you need to feel comfortable to stay on one leg.

@@user-mg3jz9em9f You need to be able to stand on your front leg, then graze the ground with the heel; from that point you can adjust pressure. Depending on your weight and shoes, this can be pretty effective - and eat through your soles fairly quickly.

    Wear protection.
And lean on your front foot to avoid speed wobbles!

Wahoo from my bike. It have GPS based speedometer. I found it more reliable than phones.
Managed to make 57 few weeks ago xD 60 is doable on that hill :)

Those are speed vent 85mm. They soft and big, they ride over everything.
I've tried 75mm orangatang. It was ok, but board was to low for my liking.
I'm thinking about 86mm McFly, they are lighter and I'm hoping that they will be better for acceleration.

Doesn't seem to be anything around Northumberland area there is an indoor skate park I'm aware of and a couple mini ones at public parks but no groups of enthusuaists etc that I can see, that was impressive.

Imagine you get speed wobbles, you fall of your board, injuring yourself, and your board rockets out at 50 kmph and straight into the ankle of a random passer by that's just walking in the park. Their bones would turn into mush.
Point of this comment - wear protection and don't put others into danger for your own fun. Downhill down a hill, not in a park.
