I have to admit that I never thought that watching a real show from a pawnbroker could be so interesting and entertaining. Yes, we’ve all seen the pawn stars from Las Vegas and personally I think it’s entertaining and fun to watch. However, what we have here is 100% raw. You literally don’t know what’s coming into the door.
$1100 is a fair offer from a pawn business absolutely, ive been stacking for over 30 years. Your comps are correct most are 69s and will fetch $40-50 at most. The money was in the 1996 for sure or selling as a set but it may take you quite a while to sell that set.
Somehow in '96, I stacked four rolls of silver eagles. Still have my silver coins starting in 1982. Junk silver coins were bought at 3 X's face back then.
The way that dude started packing up his coins so quickly after you made him the first offer, almost like he didn't want to sell them and he knew that from the moment he walked in.
i agree. he had to go back to the owner and tell her/him what he found out. he had to get approval first. especially when the actual spot price went up over $6 per troy ounce and then he settled on the original $1200 anyway. he was desperate to earn his little commission.
Average for Am Eagle = $55 x 30 = $1650. $1200 was a good deal. I'd have held out too. No one is selling these for $34 and hasn't for quite some time. Dealer is a stinker trying to make more than fair mark down for resale.
Exactly! He’s quoting a raw ase but pawn shops don’t pay up for premium coins like ase, I would’ve pulled out my phone and showed him sold prices under eBay . I would’ve sold them myself on eBay or found a coin show or on what not . Never sell to a pawn shop they’re paying same for 1 Oz round or an ASE. They don’t up pay up for premiums

First time to your channel. Very interesting deal between you and the collector. You made a very reasonable deal at $1200.00. You can still turn a decent profit at that number. I have a full set of graded ASEs, and I think you did very well.
As a buyer of second hand goods as in antique and vintage collectibles and other items I’m very surprised you even offered him that much with the economy the way it is. For me as a collector of PCGS silver dollars and the main reason I collected these certified slabs coins was to be able to sell them online when in need of extra money. It’s always bad when having to sell just about anything, it’s never on your side. Now if his collection was rated as grade level 70 his coins would be worth much much more and yes the proofs are the most valuable in this case of grade level 69 versus mint state. So basically he was just getting spot for his collection with a very slight premium. All I can says is at least he had something to sell. Being in a slab didn’t help him in this case, this is why I have bullion ASEs and 90% junk silver for the local market and my certified ASEs for online sales.
@@johnnnoise John , the number of unemployed people are not a true representation of the actual number , doesn't matter what party , they both lie to us all and change the way they count all the numbers about everything .
Just curious why you say you collect graded slabs to sell online when you need money. Is it hard to sell rounds/bars/bullion? Asking as I have both and I always thought they were both just as liquid. Love to hear some advice as I've luckily never had to sell yet so I don't know. Thanks.

I'm sure the seller lost lots of money for what he paid for encapsulated graded coins but in my opinion he got paid more than they were worth. I would only ever hope to get spot for anything and be glad at a pawn shop that you got that much
unslabbed silver eagles have a huge premium over the weight. also they are all graded, which adds over $10 on spot, so they will quickly sell at 50 each. They were all graded 69 and they went for only $40 a coin? He must of been hurting for cash. By looking at the NGC coin price guide the value should have been around $ 3,000. Yes indeed. Not sure why so many people are hating the slabbed silver. 🤷🏻♂️
Would love to have that set. Great buy and that guy spent more on gas and time trying to sell them then he made 🤙🏻😎

Great collection!! Nice buy
Thanks for the visit
Good deal for both of you guys. Honestly that 1100 dollar offer was really good the first time he came in. Luckily spot went up for him at the right time.
I agree. I made a more than fair offer the first time.
Good video on the deal. The guy finally came back.
I’m sure I gave him the best offer.

That's a killer deal
Thanks a lot.
They were all graded 69 and they went for only $40 a coin? He must of been hurting for cash. By looking at the NGC coin price guide the value should have been around $ 3,000. This is why I only deal with loose silver. I don't care how pretty it is. As long as it is real silver. I always carry a eagle with me loose just to show people what real money is. The pitch is always a attention getter. Thanks for the video's!
No one would pay $3000 for MS 69 bullion coins , Of course NGC have a ridiculous price guide .
Absolutely exiting video! hope to see more like this one.
Thank you! Will do! Stay tuned.
I'm amazed you offered $1100 for his coins. $10 premium! Almost 40% premium!!! Wow. I should visit your store.
Stay tuned when I turn a profit but yes I paid more than a fair price.
This homie is a very good dude. Respectful, fair & a nice guy. What’s not to like? 👍
Love it
Very beautiful coin.
Thank you kindly
Great video, silver eagles are my favorite to collect.
Same here.
Need to call ahead to coin stores or pawn shops before going there.
WOW!!! I recently happened to discover your channel. I really like your character (GOOD BUSINESS ETHICS, DISPLAYING A LOT OF INTEGRITY), and enjoy the content. Thank you!
Thanks a lot for watching. Also, thank you for the kind words. I have a lot more content coming soon.
If I was ever going to collect metal it’d be in the form of very well known minted coins, just for this reason. Nice and easy to sell if needed
$28 would have been for silver then + collection worth
I think this set will sell for roughly $1,800 with no issues.
Nice pickup on the Eagles.
You offered him more than I would have. I would stayed at the 1050. I even love me some silver coins! Lol. New subscriber here, love the videos. Ima keep watching. Giving him the 1200 when you did made sense though. That was a good deal.
Thanks for the sub! Appreciate the comments.
