I wear them on my back rather than the hip. Works out fine and is comfortable. Never worn a hand bag so that might be why. Had the small version for 12+ months and find it to be pefect for my daily needs. Brought the larger one a week ago for a holliday where I will be packing more stuff, so far so good. I really like your presentation and agree 100% with the black lining.
I frequently slide it to my back. So comfortable to wear. I still need to try out the small version, it might be perfect for me. Love that you have both!!!
Good work on the presentation of the tomtoc sling. Very detailed oriented. I would like to see u give a demonstration on how to wear the bag and how it looks wearing the tomtoc sling...
Thank you! Excellent idea! I need to show how bags look and fit in person. Great idea! I’ll try to implement that. I also might need to make a short of wearing the Tomtoc medium and small.
Great review! I own the large one (ca 10L) and also the 40L Navigator-T66 backpack, I just love the brand, their quality and the thoughtful design. I have been using the large sling for a few months now and love it so far, although I find myself taking more stuff with me that I don’t actually need, just because it has the space. Just ordered the small one today to use for the daily essentials and am looking forward to having the option of choosing a smaller size and also looking forward to see how and when I’ll use either one. I prefer wearing my bags on my left shoulder anyway so the small one will be a perfect fit!
I have been thinking about the small bag for a long time. Can only get it from Amazon in Canada so I was hesitating. Your video helped me makeup my mind and the small bag arrived today. It is perfect. Thanks.
@@EDCQ I like it a lot. I have one that is too big for daily use and one that the strap is too short. This one is the right size and has a strap long enough for comfort.
Thank you for this. I think I will get the larger one, because when away, on holiday and abroad it can also turn into a "bag" and not just a sling; it would help me to carry all I need for the flight and I don't need to fill it if I don't want to, while we can't say the reverse for the smaller one: we can't fit all we need if it's too small. Thank you!
I’m sorry I missed your comment!!! Thank you for watching and commenting!!! An excellent point!!!!! You can always not “fill up” a larger bag, but you can keep adding stuff to a bag that’s smaller than you need. Did you end up picking one up? What did you think?
@@EDCQ No, I actually didn't... I still cannot make up my mind about which one to buy, which brand, which features... each one has something "missing"...
Brilliant, first vid I’ve come across detailing the difference in sizes… I’m looking for a new edc evening bag. Everyone seems to have reviewed the 4.5ltr as great. I did wonder about the 7ltr… too big or too small… as I can’t go and physically view these in a shop I was unsure as to the size I wanted… this video has helped me make my decision… thanks for doing what you do x
I really enjoy the video thank you so much. The thing I run across with some sling bags is the straps being really fat and really rough I like bags that have a thinner strap. Any recommendations?
Oddly enough I just came across this video after I purchased one of the 4.5l bags. I was looking for something I can use just to carry some essentials when I go to work. I felt my regular bag was just overkill because most of the items inside were never necessary (and sometimes not allowed) at work. I believe this will be small enough for the basics I would normally have in my pockets. I don’t like walking around all day with wallets and keys, phones, etc.
Hello, I am looking to purchase either the 11 inch version of this sling (the medium one you show in the video) or the Tomtoc a54 compact EDC sling. I would be carrying an iPad (9th gen 10.2 inch), small emulator (about the size of the original Gameboy, hand lotion, hand sanitizer, compact Anker 10k mAh power bank, knife, flashlight, wallet, notepad, tissue, and keys. Sometimes maybe the Switch as well. Which do you think would best accomodate this load out? If you have any insight on both I would appreciate it. Thank you in advance and great video!
Hey A, Great video. I think I could see me using the medium size sling bag For some of my bigger items. The smaller sling Bag is still my 1st choice. I enjoy options but not too many more I hope. L o l. Have a great night my friend.
which one would you recommend if your travelling abroad? i plan to carry my keys, cellphone, power bank, passport, some coins, car transmitter, maybe a nintendo switch.
If you’re bringing the switch, I would recommend the medium. No switch, the medium is still not a bad choice, you’d have room to add stuff you pick up while out, the small is an awesome option if you don’t want a ton of extra space.
do you by any chance know how big the circumference of the bag strap for the small bag? Doesnt have to be exact measurements or anything just working out if its plus size or big chest friendly? thanks for your time, love the video. Cool to see edc from a womans perspective too!
Just got the small one (8inches/4L), strap is 116-120cm at it full extent. I'm a big boy and it feels quite uncomfy. The bag itself is a good size, but when I wear it the strap lays too much against the side of my neck. I'm used to a shoulder bag put on as crossbody with I think a 140cm strap that makes the bag lays around my hips. The 8in tomtoc instead stays up on the waist (I would say a little over) when put like a shoulder bag, it feels a little better putting it on the back but still too sharp contact on the side of the neck. It's usable when put on the front to access things but it's a little too much close to the body, so the back pocket for example is not too easy to access. I'll maybe give a try to the tomtoc 11in, but I'm afraid that it's a little too much as EDC bag. Love the possibility to carry an ipad when needed but afraid about the width and in particular to the depth that it could be a little too much. Unfortunately I can't find detailed info on shoulder strap max extension and if it sits on the hips with the padded strap sitting on shoulder-neck
@@guid1 thank you SO much for going to the effort to measure and give the info i really appreciate it! I know exactly what you mean with the sharp contact on the neck, i have a nike cross body bag i wear in a sling style and its so sharp against my neck! I have similar issues too with sizing, i want my bag to be large enough to hold my essentials but the line between that and going too far the other way and too wide or something is too much! Im not sure if you have access to a Uniqlo store where you are but their sling style bags have gone absolutely viral globally for what they can hold and stay in shape, i havnt had any experience with it but plan on getting one as theyre rediculously cheap!
Thank you @guid1 love when you guys get to a comment and help each other out before I’m able to. Also, sorry that I missed this comment initially. Let me know if you need anymore info, I’ll be happy to help however I can
They need to have even straps on both sides that are removable so you can use them as stoke containers in your backpack hey we just made the wheel twice as round as what it was😂
😂😂😂 They are definitely different than most other sling bags. It carries incredibly well!!! However it is notable that the straps don’t come off. Not a deal breaker for me but I could see that being very important for some people. Thank you for watching!!!
Agree!!!! I will say, I believe this bag is meant to be carried on the right side, I carry all bags on my left because I carry my one year old with my right arm. This bag carries amazingly well on the left. So maybe I’ve got it mixed up and it is meant for left side carry, or it just carries well on both sides. But I am fully on board with bags should be able to be carried on both sides. Most bags are made for right side since most people are right handed but I carry everything on the left. 😂
I have both. I gravitate to the smaller one. It is perfect.
It really is an excellent edc size!
