What bombers normally feel like:
Fly
Get close to or bomb base
Die
for me its side climb prat to god all the fenemys fighters are in the furball approach base.. either get blind sided by fighter who clibed higher than me or bomb all bases no ]nbetweem
You gotta side climb for half the match and then dive bomb your target.
If ur a noob = yes. If you are good = no.

@@flamingrubys11 Yep, I use the G8N1, and it's a fight for survival when your gunners die from the first shot, only gotten lucky at times and kill the attacking planes, or get the chance of the fire going out in either of the wings. But then you have the task of climbing down from 3000-5000 meters, without getting intercepted by another plane and hoping not to explode once you land on the airfield.
What? An air RB match where the B-24 does not immediately get taken down in one pass by an ME-262? This has to be rarer than winning the lottery or getting struck by lightning.
i always wanted to play the B-24 like in the movie but no matter how much i tried war thunder just felt very arcadish and limited. i downloaded a old game called IL-2 1946 and it has just what i wanted! 2 to 6 hour flight time in a B-24D or J, every gunner position available and the hot tropical islands of the Solomon seas (or misty European weather if flying the J) and best of all? you actually have a fighting chance since you are flying in formation with other bombers and dont get 3 interceptors to focus on you only... unlike war thunder

Playing bombers like the B-24 on sim battles hits so different.
What I learned with American bombers in particular, is to take them way up, just keep climbing passed 20,000ft and once you’re at 20,000ft, their climb rate usually isn’t much better than yours, it makes them slow enough for you to pepper them to unaliving. Did so with my b-29, got my bases, climbed way up, so much so a meteor had actual trouble catching me, took him out and a su-11. I died, but def better than usual.
Did you side-climb as well? I always do that when playing heavy bombers in air RB.
Imagine that, using the tactic they did in WWII causes you to live longer in a bomber than if you’re thrown into the battlefield 25000 feet below operational altitude?
Who could have guessed! It’s almost as if gaijin doesn’t want bombers to survive!

Land... Only if.. In case you survive those fighters who are flying above than you like bf109 and intercepters. Who don't even let you bomb single base peacefully. In long maps

We totally need a pve gamemode for planes. But not like the one we have now but EC pve like heli pve. That would be dope af.

A) sneak in at low level amid the remainingseal clubbin' level 100s.
B) side climb back up to altitude in the remaining time/points count down.
C) J out and return to hanger like an L.

Used to use the hell out of the b24 back way before tank beta came out, back then RB still had the bomb reticle so I would purposely go almost to ground level to get accurate bomb drops with the reticle and use it to fight against planes, back then the AI was also way better and would actually target enemies away from like more then 1km and weren't brain dead.

It takes 1 hour to make a 4-5 kill match in a bomber. Its so EZ man, no1 just wants to learn and every1 is crying instead of turing and shooting
