Every person I've known who is homosexual had some sort of trauma or strained relationship with their parents. Without fail.

sometimes it's the chicken, sometimes it's the egg.
The attraction is there but having a worse relationship with their parents will make it worse. Parents are the kids' first line of authority and experience of it. If that fails, their sense of orderliness will crack down and they are more likely to act on their desires. But here is the thing, the sin is there regardless of the tension. A worse relationship will only expose that much earlier

I wish these stories were out there 15 years ago when I was a teenager experiencing same sex attraction. If I would have known that other people also struggle with it but still choose to deny themselves and follow Jesus would have helped a lot.
God doesn't give temptations to humans that they can't get out of, God sent angels to literally bind the demons stronger than us. GOD IS LOVE and Jesus hung out with sinners as a genuine empath and not a prideful self-righteous man. I love this clip

God doesn't tempt. Why would He create temptations of sin as a holy God? Any temptation is due to our own weak flesh, the effects of sin still at play in this world, and demons/evil spirits/Satan. God may test people, but He does not tempt people. This is a very important distinction. God allows people to be tempted by this world, but He Himself does not tempt us.
He also told them to STOP SINNING.

I heard homegirls story on Jackie & Preston Hill’s pod, this thumbnail seems like its implying she almost deleted herself because she got outed at youth, I don’t recall that being the case. My family member pleaded with God to change him, to stop the same sex attraction. While still home,, he was a leader in church youth. When he went to college, he gave up, rejected the God who didn't heal him, came out. As an adult he is a gay,non-binary, practicing the occult. I struggle with understanding why God didnt give someone pleading for help to change, his power to do so.

However, if we continuously choose to live in sin or continue to live a sinful lifestyle. We cannot be holy. Part of faith and belief in Jesus is repentance. We have to turn away from that sinful lifestyle. Living in sin is very different from having habitual sin. I’ll call it. We have our mistakes. There’s a difference between mistakes and choices.

People tend to talk about homo stuff like it's a special kinda sin when we don't apply the same kinda grace we apply to those of us grappling with lust to them. The same way some struggle with being same sex attracted is the same way some struggle with strong attraction to every woman they see. There shouldn't be any extra hostility or bias against same sex attraction like it's a kinda disease and fornication is just a struggle.
Although, I get that our animosity could be stemming from the fact that it's the one sin that has a community built around it who actively celebrate it, protest for it, fight against the church concerning it and even cause fights IN the church concerning it.
Yet God cannot be clearer about all sexual desire outside of the Biblically prescribed marriage between a man and a woman as being sinful and never specifically going after homosexuality as being worst than adultery or fornication.

@@RoyCyberPunk That's what creates a lot of tension because most people are "heterosexual", and thus get privileged and "let off the hook" way more easily because of that. Homosexuality is a small minority thing, and that inevitably has its own intrinsic set of issues by the nature of being a minority thing. They were and are easy scapegoats. On top of the fact that most people can't really empathize with their experiences, creating intense alienation and isolation. Lifelong celibacy is a hell of a thing to ask of someone due to sheer chance of birth, but it teeters on being utterly unbearable given everything else. If the mindset was "you are called to be a saint, not straight or gay", that'd be amazing and absolutely the truth but that's rarely how it is seen.

Off the hook? Fornication nor adultery receives special treatment Biblically speaking in fact all sexual acts outside of the Biblically prescribed marriage between a man and a woman basically meant the death penalty for both participants which is also why the case of the woman accused of adultery that was brought to Jesus was ironically Biblically null and void as by Jewish law both parties not just one were to be stoned to death and yes fornication and homosexuality were on that list too without any distinction between any of them. So Biblically there's no off the hook but people will single things out thus distorting what was meant Biblically.
Jesus fulfilled the law and paid the wages of sin in full so no one needs to be stoned to death for these things anymore but accepting Jesus as our personal savior and lord and repentance is a requirement.

Is it not worth to re-evaluate? We can treat same-sex attracted people with such disrespect, while opposite sex attracted people who act upon their desires sin as much as the other group and often even more because compared to other group they do not see how serious the consequences are.
One thing I want to share after hearing this story.
You do not have to be attracted to all opposite sex people, it is enough to be attracted to the one who will be your partner for life in marriage. And one has to stay pure before marriage sexually no matter what attractions he/she has. Then that extends to marital life as well.
Most of people have no clue what consequences any non-marital intimacy has on their lives and on their future marriage. It does not matter if it is only consumption of explicit content, self-satisfaciton, or consensual physical activities with other partners, all have consequences, and none of those are negligable.
All such activities destroy the healthy view of marital intimacy, and corrupt how you see yourself and your partner as they are connected with shame and guilt.

How do you harmonize that with Jesus being the one who spoke about hell the most ?

The English word _hell_ is substituted for four different words in the Bible and they all mean different things, they are: Sheol, Gehenna, Hades and Tartarus. Sheol is the Hebrew word for the place of the dead and it’s not synonymous with grave but an actual place where the dead hang out in spirit form. Hades is the Greek version of Sheol but it’s also the Greek god of the dead and the underworld who’s the brother of Zeus and Poseidon. Gehenna or a the Valley of Hinnom was a real physical place you could visit so it’s not some place you go to after you die. It’s a place where people made sacrifices to a pagan god. Tartarus is a Greek mythological place, a deep abyss that is used as a dungeon of torment and suffering for the wicked and as the prison for the Titans. So whenever we see the word hell, we have to dig deeper to see which of these four places the text is actually talking about. _to be continued…_
@@quesostuff1009 Furthermore, one of Jesus’ most famous passages is his parable of the sheep and the goats where he says the words “eternal punishment.” Parables are not to be taken literally but they contain very important information Jesus is trying to get across. The Greek words used for “eternal punishment” are kolasis aionios and the former means correction so it’s not retributive but corrective for the sake of restoration and aionios means age-during or age-long it does not mean eternal or forever. The Greek language has words for eternal and aionios ain’t it. In the book of Revelation it says death and hades will be thrown into the lake of fire, and we see all the people who were not saved living on the new earth.
