- I used to hire out his process of a bathroom renovation 😄 It would cost me $800-1,000 per bathroom (finishing only) 😳
Reason?? I was afraid & didn't really know how to finish drywall..... I didn't have RUclips & social media when I started out 😄 No smart phones or easy ways to gain knowledge.....
So I hired it out, and watched closely! And after about 4-5 bathrooms worth, I began doing it myself and saving a ton of money (plus not having to rely on someone to finish the project)
Sanding drywall is my least favorite part of the project 😄
There are many tools that make this easier:
Power Drywall Sander - amzn.to/42EQ1F7
Fein Dust Extractor - amzn.to/42JZprd
Sanding pole - amzn.to/48faD84
Sanding clothe - amzn.to/3SWu1Cv
Sanding sponges - amzn.to/48khFIS

Professional drywall finisher here, your last coat should be a smooth as possible and in fact all your coats should be smooth. Sanding should just be a matter of lightly removing the edges and lightly sanding in-between. For best results, take a 100 watt light bulb and a sanding block and look over everything you just sanded. When you are happy with it. Dust out your corners, prime and then do your touch ups on top of the primer when it dries. Pro tip, add a little coloured chalk to the mud so you can see it. I used foam backed 220 drywall sandpaper. It's best to wear it out first before use on drywall mud.
Damn never thought about adding dye Ggs
You have something on your camera lens, I had to check if it wasn't my screen that was defective...
I was wiping my computer screen too 😆
I’ve gotten so ripped from sanding. I do need to invest in a vacuum sander thingy
What kind of sandpaper grit do you use?
Thanks.
