Glad to see that you have jack stands as a secondary
Nice vid....new sub from 🇨🇦😁
I will not put transmission additives on a ZF auto trans they are too delicate.....
Just FYI.... The trans level should be checked with the engine running, and the trans temp between 30 and 45 degrees C. If you start the engine, you will see the dripping will stop. My guess is that it is still roughly 2 quarts low. With it running and at the aforementioned temp, fill till it begins leaking.
did you have any codes before you did this repair? i’m trying to figure out if this will fix my car. because i have 2 incorrect ratios and the same engine
My Audi A4 1.8 5V Turbo quattro specs is slipping what should I do reply to me ASAP thank you
Hi, I have just got Audi A3 and have same problem with shifting gears... I showed it to mechanic, he said their might be a problem with cambelt and it will cost me $2500... Is it true? The problem I experienced is same as in the video... Need help
is your transmission still working? how miles were on the car?
did it stop the rough shift at all or not...
You said you had two plugs didn't you? I have seen a few VW transmission fluid change videos with transmissions like that. They appear to be ZF transmissions.
Best Audi/Porshe mechanic in the world (Huey medivac crew chief in the Nam) worked on every Audi ever made - says he never had to replace a transmission in the Audi 04 1.8T Quattro model! NO they are not "all the same" - but that year and model seems to be the best one they made. Also, the New Audi's (esp the big SUV's) are TROUBLE! silent recalls out the ass.. stupid things like roof leaks - piss-poor QA! Stick to 1.8T's and older years - spend the $$$ to restore em w/genuine Audi parts (yes expensive but SO well worth it) they are built to LAST a million miles or more! I have two of em - 03-04 wouldn't trade em for anything. Not one speck of rust on either one and they run like a Swiss watch! Never allow anyone but a certified Audi service tech TOUCH your vehicle! (unless you want trouble)
Have you ever thought about taking the transmission out cutting a whole in the floor and just Fred flinstoning it? Worked great for me way easier to work on, but I go through shoes so fast!
Had the same problem added at-205 to atf fluid fixed the seal
How many km does this last?
Do you have any problem after that? Or it’s working good?
😂 that’s what I wanted to know too I watched the whole video to not even know if it works or not 🤦🏽♂️ lol
What's the follow up on this?
Thanks for the video! Is this a 2001 Audi A4?
That's funny.... cause I have the same exact car (but its the A6 2.8L), and it is soooo ridiculously touchy with the type of fluid, amount, temperature, and if the car is perfectly level. I tried the dex/merc a couple weeks ago... not great. & shouldnt it be like a type F or dex III ATF? Also, doesn't have to have an almost exact amount and be at the right temperature because the oil expands and shrinks with temp... idk... I added fluid very similiar to the way you did and had no luck, like at all... not trying to be a dick but my car has been very touchy and a HUGE pain in the ass....
Omg same here... car has a mind of its own
Is your Transmission CVT?
You need to fill it while the car is running cuz i will suck up fluid by running and then you re-fill it until it fall out, then you have enough fluid in it
What is the name of the pump you are using to pump oil into your car?
They're dirt cheap at Harbor Freight - transfer pump.
How often should i change the ATF fluid in a 2012 ford focus ? Also, do you like ATP syno fluid ?
Thanks, we looked it up in the manual and it said 60.000 miles.
Does ford make their own ATF Fluid? didnt think so. So I would go by the recommendations of the fluid manufacture, hence why factory is holding its self liable for ATF fluids, hence they are not the ones engineered and own it.
So, General rule of thumb for all ATF is 60K miles.
If you do alot of "spirited driving" and you dont have supporting increased cooling of ATF fluid for the trannhy,,then fo sho, need to drop that interval to 50K
I got my ATF Fluid changed but I still have the problem what should I do ??
Try trans mounts and even a t/c first if you dont have incorrect ratios codes drain fill make sure level is proper
I don't know if you are still having trouble, but if you didn't check the trans fluid level with the engine running and at temp, chances are it is low. Also, I noticed people mentioning a drain and fill. Make sure you change the filter too. If it is shifting hard, clutches are good, so chances are it is a pressure issue pointing to the filter.
BUILT i
Joe Felicia good tips!!! Some not all transmissions are the same audi still made continuous variable timing (cvt) transmissions which do not use automatic transmission oil.
hope it works
I would be very careful with any stop leak in these transmissions. It doesn't take much to upset an automatic transmission and cause it to give you the worst days of your life!!!
So, did it work or not? Or did I just waste 6:12 of my life? That I can never get back 😂😂
It was nice of u to tell us what size the drain plug is but how about telling us what size the fill plug is?
Thank you so fucking much bro!...They charge ridiculous amounts at the Audi dealer for this shit!!
Hey how did that additive work for you in the long run?
I wonder that myself because these things are very sensitive to fluid quality. If you must use such a thing in a transmission make sure it is not waxy because you will be lucky if it gets out of park even.
Nd how do I know the oil automatic / t is s low ,
take it to an Audi service shop. There is no "dip-stick"! It is unwise to self-repair Audi.
why would you put dex/merc? There is fluid specific for german made vehicles on amazon. You're putting the transmission at severe risk. good luck
What do you know about transmission fluids?
Do you know what this is? >>>> G052162A2
IF you do, than you should know, and or should go pick up that dex/merc tub and read the specs.
Swap it to manual man all you need is vag com and a parts car!!
Cute guy.
