Jeep Slid In The Mud

- Got a call for a Jeep that slid in the mud and was hanging off the side of a wash. We decided to take the 2 road worthy rigs so we didn't have to trailer anything. Mike and I jumped in Ol Blue and Shawn brought the JK(Rental Jeep). We drove out and met the customer and his buddy that was with him. They led us in to the vehicle and we began the recovery. Had to position the rigs on the uphill side as far up as we could to get the right pull angle. Once it moved we continued winching until it was passed the steep hillside and Shawn was able to start it and help the winch while we pulled. It went well, just muddy. Thank you everyone for watching and supporting us.

I know I've watched enough of these because my favorite part is Shawn's lack of wheel spin when he gives it gas in reverse. The perfect amount of gas to get out, not being wild with it, letting the winch do the work, controlled, nice.
I noticed that also, really calm and precise driving on his part.
Things looked bad initially but the guys have probably had enough rollovers to not be fussed...
It wouldn't have been so precise if he kept those boots on 😃
I love how every front dig is unnecessary 🤣
Unnecessary Front Dig needs to be on a Tshirt
@@bedlamite42 yes! I would buy one
Hi sir🎉
@@bedlamite42 yep!
Front digs are all necessary on this channel
Watching these vids is comforting. Rory, Shawn and Mike restore my faith in humanity
They are some FINE People aren't they ?
Rory's amazing mechanical intuition and ability to think quickly in a tricky rigging situation were on display here. So impressive. Personally, I don't think he has an equal.
Paul from Fab Rats is pretty good as well, but Rory is the master.👍
@@fredfred4086100% Spot on. 👍👍
Has Rory received his preemptive first place trophy yet. Mater's gonna kill it
You KNOW it !
Pucker factor is what I call that. Shawn is fearless. Nice save guys.
Shawn was in the towed vehicle that time it looked like falling a hundred vertical feet into Kane Creek canyon, and it would have taken Trail Mater with Rory with it. That was the scariest moment I can remember on this channel, ruclips.net/video/g6Hc_dtNKR8/видео.html
Shawn has nerves of steel.
Great recovery guys. Awesome camera work. Mike really gets some fantastic videos, not to take anything away from all the crew. Rory is the best at knowing how to attack each situation. And always reliable Shawn.
I really enjoy the rescues. But the scenery in your videos is what I like the most. That and the positive attitude. I hope you get that Dorito sponsorship :)
When it started to roll over after the wrenches were hooked up. Man, it really showed just how lucky the owner was. That Jeep was an inch away from turning into a washing machine. Great recovery guys! Thanks for sharing
yeah text book recovery.
Seriously. I bet a strong gust of wind on the high side might have been enough to finish the job. The owner definitely did the right thing calling in a professional, even though he had another vehicle with him.
I was worried that just Shaun's extra weight would make it want to roll. He was on the wrong side of the vehicle after all.
Why was Shawn wearing big potato skins over his boots? Is that ancient wisdom passed down by his people to the worthy? ;-)
@@TrevorDennis100 it couldn’t roll after they hooked up the winches it would have to overcome the force of both the winch’s to move the roll-center of the jeep up and driver enough to roll over that’s why no one got in the vehicle before the winch lines were on
That mud looked really slick & slippery. Once again Shawn shows nerves of steel. That shows the trust in teamwork. Thank for sharing
Hi sir
That wasn't Shawn
Been watching you since Richie rode with you about 5-6 years ago.. The truck sure has changed, but not the driver! Great crew you have now helping you, keep up the great humor, and fun! Thanks
It's a different truck than when he first started uploading a few years ago. Trailmater still goes out, but this is Ole Blue.
Hi sir
Wow. That looked super sketchy, but you guys made the recovery look easy!
That looked like some extra slippery mud !
Nice recovery even if it didn't go the way you wanted it to at first.
It was successful and that's what counts.
Great recovery, this might be one of the sketchiest ones yet. I can't believe that thing didn't roll, and how does Shaun even fit in these vehicles with his huge balls? I puckered up just watching this! Also, with the way your vehicles perform, you definitely have me sold on KM3s.
Hi sir
KM3s available in 7.50-16 now if you want tall, narrow. I put them on my wife’s Liberty.
What is a km3 ??

@@trakyboy5128 The tires he runs on is two trucks, the BF Goodrich KM3.
Great 👍 way to start a wet rainy Saturday morning where I am ,watching Rory and Old Blue recover another Jeep
Hi sir 🎉
That thick sticky mud really sucks. I noticed it turn the rear duals into one big super single. A little sketchy at first but it was a good recovery in the end.
With you guys doing lot and lots of recoveries. The confidence level to get that out and not add more vehicles to the potential carnage....
My hat is off to you all.
This was a great recovery. The seat in that Jeep would have needed a good cleaning if I had been driving when it started sliding sideways. 😂😂
Hi sir 🎉
Nice to see old blue on the job. Keep up all the great work. Good luck on the game. God bless you and all the family.
Hi sir 🎉
@@gaillumanila hi back.
That was a mud mess, but you and the crew got it out with no problems. 😉😃😄😄
That was definitely a twitchy one! The moment you moved ut, it was going. They made the right call by not attempting to self recover.
Thanks for sharing 🇨🇦
And another sketchy recovery- I thought we were gonna lose this one. Thanks for taking us along!!
I just now realized that trail mater ispainted the perfect color for winter in Moab. Four shades darker than Moab mud. Thataway when Mater comes home with mud on him, the mud is color coordinated accents tat make him look smoove and buttoned up
That mud was wild. You guys get to go to the coolest spots. Thanks for taking me along for the ride. 🇨🇦
Remind me of when I drove in a landfill on a rainy day it was fun to slide a 20 ton garbage truck around great video and great job with the recovering and God bless from GA and stay safe
Hi sir 🎉
I drove 10 wheelers for years. Amazing how well they do donuts in mud. My favorite is 150 ton (haul capacity" doing donuts in the rain at a copper mine.
Yeah I know how good they go through mud I drove the semi and trailer to and from the landfill too with 100k of wet garbage but it was more fun with the little trucks
I just saw Shawn put his life in the hands of Rory. Rory knew the relative weights involved, the ratings on the winches, and that the lines were in great shape. Rory earned his trust. AND...If any one tells Shawn he's got lead in his butt, he can reply confidently, "No, but these huge, hanging brass-ones are heavy!"
Gumbo, loon crap, mud...it's the gift that keeps on sticking!
Mike you do the best off-road camera work, and Shawn's pretty good too.
Great show! Had me on the edge of my recliner
Hi sir 🎉
Good stuff as always, guys. Shawn once again demonstrates the ice water in his veins, Mike's videography is excellent as usual, and Rory shows his instinctive understanding of physics and rigging. Thanks for taking us along!
See Eric, there IS mud in the desert. BSF 2ND PLACE.
This Gentlemen is the video you refer couch potato/monday moron quarterbacks to! When off roaders / event organizers for off road activities realize their predicament and abilities call Rory, Shawn and Mike for help, you know you're the best!!!
Thank You for such great work and Mr. Shawn for his faith in Rory.
You all are in my prayers
Hoka Hey
I wonder what the organizer's report on the trail was.
@@russellhltn1396 run only when dry unless Moab Motorsports is on speed dial?
Amazing, you guys make it look so easy...Great Video
Rory’s ability to look at a situation and put his trucks/jeeps in just the right spot amazes me. Experience can’t be beaten.
Great recovery guys. Pucker/tilt factor @ 8!
Hi sir 🎉
Sir Rory alright we'll just start here you have a plan formulated in that brain even before you hook up analytically thought out in 3d in your minds eye out in the theatre of your dreams conducting the orchestra very amicably missing one trombone player though
You guys KEEP safe and be BLESSED love from South AFRICA 🤔🤔😄😄
Through wind and sleet and snow now mud you guys can get them out
Hope you guy's have a monthly car wash subscription ! Nice work as usual!
Good call in bringing two vehicles. That mud was deceiving.
Got here while video quality is still only 360p. Lol this is a channel we need to see the fine details, cause those views!
Crazy slippery gooey mud to work in. Good job guys. Cheers from West Jordan
Hi sir 🎉
👍👍 I always look forward to your videos because they are so exciting.
Oh yeah always _____sweet content cheaper than cable !!! Reality never fiction
Is 'Rolling Perfection' taking a break from recoveries?
That Jeep almost went over. It would've if you hadn't had the truck and jeep hooked to it. God bless
I love seeing how technical your driving and rigging is.
Thank you so much for not getting into click bait and drama.
You guy’s done a good job on the recovery have a wonderful day
The mud in that area is amazing ! Another successful recovery . Thanks for sharing !
# ONE AGAIN, I KNOW YOU WILL COME OUT A WINNER NEXT WEEK.
WOW. I was really worried you guys were going slip backwards down that hill you were anchored on. Great job.
Dang! The duals on the truck looked like just one really wide tire from all that mud! 🤣😂🤣
That was great!. Good to see people who are wise enough to stop at the right time... Maybe just a hundred yards too late 🤣 but they called the right people and the Jeep didn't even get 'dirty' 🤌
Love your videos. You make it look easy sometimes
Beautiful country. Beautiful recovery.
I hope you guys at least stopped and got Shawn some new underwear on the way back!
Used to run into that kind of mud in Winnipeg. The locals called it Manitoba Gumbo. If you walked 50 yards, you ended up 6 inches taller. It wasn't all that thick, but a layer stuck to your boots with each step. Nice recovery and teamwork.
Big fan of the front dig! Unnecessary but required
If that Jeep had some real rock sliders on it you could tie on and pull off them
Watching Shawn hanging there brought back some memories. This recovery reminds me of some old Lone Ranger episodes. Tonto would be used as bait so the Lone Ranger could ride in and be the hero.
Hi sir
Shawnto? 🤣🤣 Great job everybody. Yep, Shawn often takes point. Or wheel.
in the south we call that mud gumbo! and it is slick as owl's chit! HA HA
This is a good video. I think I’ve been watching too much of Rory doing spotting for people. I went to the post office this morning, this lady was trying to park her car but she straddled the high curb, I got out of my car and started giving her hand signals as to what to do. She got straightened out perfectly and thanked me several times. So Rory, I thank you. I have learned from you. 😉
I will never get tired of Rory,Sean and Mike. My favorites. ❤️🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍❤️
You do NOT pat Shawn enough to do that!
looked a little sketchy to me--shawn hung right in there--knew he was in good hands--great job men
Another fantastic recovery, i was surprised that you didn't get a bit stuck too but knowing the vehicles capability and how to use it makes a lot of difference to the outcome.
Yeah, I was impressed by your Jeep crawling back up out of the gully.
@@russbell6418 reply to wrong comment i don't have a jeep sob sob.
When are you going to scrap the NP203? NP205 or ?? You must have a better transfer case laying around!
good to watch , and you kept calm and didn't get caught up in the situation .
As always just doing what you do so well .
Man, you sure have a slick operation ! 👍
Yee...
Hew...
Wild rides,
Rides again.
If everyone drove toyota's,
You'd all go out of business,
Thank the lord for Jesus Jeeps 🚙
Holy crap!! I would have been crapping my pants if I'd been in that Jeep! Shaun's gotta have nerves of steal! Great recovery guys!!
👍👍👍👍👍😀Good job! That Jeep was lucky to keep 4 tires on the ground, it sure was on the "edge". That "dirt" mixed with some water sure turns into some nasty *** stuff.
Sketchy Muddy muck Yuck !!!
Question: If one winch failed, could just one of them keep the Jeep safe/Ok ?
If not,
Should've come up with a Plan C ?
Sheesh, that was good the way it panned out.
😅🤨🙂
Did some figuring _____I've heard tell that most of those _____keep er clean folks you help actually had sight of Rock Pecker soaring _____no Excuses.
Plainly Sean's just happy to have one still
Shawn always gets the toughest/sketchiest/dangerous jobs.... and always nails them 🙂 Rocks, rubble, snow, ice, sand or gooey mud you three are the best 🙂 Thanks for sharing 🙂 There will be some mud flinging once you get back on to the fast dry roads😂
The mud that sticks to everything and make your shoes weigh about 100 pounds. LOL
Good morning ,
Looks like the exhaust manifold gaskets went on vacation on the tow truck that engine sounds like some old shit from 1914 🤣🤣🤣
Rory, Shawn, & Mike you are the best!!! To walk up to a situation like this, vision the recovery, put the recovery into play, realize that Murphy's Law is going to jump in, and still do a fantastic recovery is truly remarkable. NASA needs you 3. PLease stay safe so I can scratch meeting you 3 off my bucket list. Thanks for sharing!!
one of the best recovery guys out there, no showboating, just business. and he can drive too.
I love your guys stuff!! One suggestion which your some what consistent about doing but would like to hear more about…..tell us the name of trails /roads you do are doing the recovery on. Again I love your stuff!!
#TEAMSUPERSKETCH
Shawn, you are one brave man. Another good job. You should make some "Trail Mater digs it!" shirts.
Only vids I turn my resolution up to HD for, usually.
Love the scenery. It's like a different planet compared to the Appalachian river jungles I live in.
gj team, blue's new hood looks good
She was teetering just for a second a bit of a puker factor nice job again !! 😯👍👍👍👍
Wow!! Beautiful job!!!!! I thought it was in serious trouble as soon as it started moving!!! These Legends that put it there are some of the best wheelers , most knowledgeable in Moab that know these trails backwards and forwards so it’s saying a lot thst they got in this predicament , getting them out and then calling Mater says a lot! 👍👍
Wow! Great recovery Rory, Shawn and Mike! That was scary! But you got it out. 🤙😎
"UFD" Utah front digs are almost required to locate the rock-peckers
Thanks from England.
I call that mud Puppy Poo. Nice lob guys, I thought that jeep was going over when it started to move.
Yes the mud out there is crazy slimy and sticky. I think I still have some stuck to my vehicle from years ago. Nice recovery again. Cheers.
Another walk in the park, that few others could do. Great chemistry in the 3-5 person crew. Channel just gets better all the time. Kudos to whoever does editing.
That mud looks like Caliche, very hard to get off anything.
In passing through moab I got to see trailmater and the other rigs. Sweet to see it for real and not just in video!
Those are typical conditions right now. I hate mud so my off-road stuff is hanging around in the garage waiting for things to dry out.
Greasy, nasty sticky chit that turns to concrete if left to dry...
I like everybody that’s going to be in the wrecker games but I believe trail Menard has the most experience and you just can’t beat that so my money is on you
Impressive recovery.
My wife won't approve going into that stuff. Only done it two times.
Yes, shotgun buy in or no go.
great channel mate ..i love what you do its very entertaining how you go anywhere with no problems the tow truck sounds awesome I've been a rat rod style guy for a while now keep up the good work rory and your team ..all the best from over here in the uk

Moab mud, making easy trails into survival stories.
Worst of all, there is no way to tell!
14:02 Now you are running super singles on that truck! (at least until you get back on the highway)
What a muddy mess this Jeep got itself in. So steep too. Awesome job getting this rig out guys!
