I know I've watched enough of these because my favorite part is Shawn's lack of wheel spin when he gives it gas in reverse. The perfect amount of gas to get out, not being wild with it, letting the winch do the work, controlled, nice.
Rory's amazing mechanical intuition and ability to think quickly in a tricky rigging situation were on display here. So impressive. Personally, I don't think he has an equal.
Yup, that there was as close as it comes! I'll say it again, Rory, Mike and Shawn, the three amigos from this side of the mountain. A Huge way to go for saving that poor innocent jeep! Thanks for sharing 👍🏻. ✌🏻🧡☀️😊 🇨🇦, Ontario.
Shawn was in the towed vehicle that time it looked like falling a hundred vertical feet into Kane Creek canyon, and it would have taken Trail Mater with Rory with it. That was the scariest moment I can remember on this channel, ruclips.net/video/g6Hc_dtNKR8/видео.html
Loved that shot of the duals at the end of the video. Made it look like it was one big wide tire! Have fun at the games this week! I so wanted to be there!
I really enjoy the rescues. But the scenery in your videos is what I like the most. That and the positive attitude. I hope you get that Dorito sponsorship :)
When it started to roll over after the wrenches were hooked up. Man, it really showed just how lucky the owner was. That Jeep was an inch away from turning into a washing machine. Great recovery guys! Thanks for sharing
Seriously. I bet a strong gust of wind on the high side might have been enough to finish the job. The owner definitely did the right thing calling in a professional, even though he had another vehicle with him.
@@TrevorDennis100 it couldn’t roll after they hooked up the winches it would have to overcome the force of both the winch’s to move the roll-center of the jeep up and driver enough to roll over that’s why no one got in the vehicle before the winch lines were on
Great recovery guys. Awesome camera work. Mike really gets some fantastic videos, not to take anything away from all the crew. Rory is the best at knowing how to attack each situation. And always reliable Shawn.
Rory calling Mike & Shawn: diagnosis...surgical tools...where on specimen... begin...stop...driver..break..passenger! Whew, specimen saved!!! Wow you all are wonderful. Oh and that mud was horrific!!
Been watching you since Richie rode with you about 5-6 years ago.. The truck sure has changed, but not the driver! Great crew you have now helping you, keep up the great humor, and fun! Thanks
That was definitely a twitchy one! The moment you moved ut, it was going. They made the right call by not attempting to self recover. Thanks for sharing 🇨🇦

Shawn always gets the toughest/sketchiest/dangerous jobs.... and always nails them 🙂 Rocks, rubble, snow, ice, sand or gooey mud you three are the best 🙂 Thanks for sharing 🙂 There will be some mud flinging once you get back on to the fast dry roads😂
With you guys doing lot and lots of recoveries. The confidence level to get that out and not add more vehicles to the potential carnage.... My hat is off to you all.
Rory always shows the RUclips Jeep crowd just how sketchy even "simple" trails are in the Utah deserts - he's a one-man PSA for knowing your terrain and having the proper equipment for self-recovery if possible. Thank heavens Rory and crew are there for Easter Jeep Safari this year, as the snow pack/moisture is well above average in the area!
I am experiencing a perfect Saturday! Worked on my 1968 Chevy C-10 Resto-Mod, replaced carrier bearing, U-Joints and seals on my Ram 3500, came in to find a brand spanking new Rory Irish video! As usual Rory and the Can Do Crew got it done!
Good stuff as always, guys. Shawn once again demonstrates the ice water in his veins, Mike's videography is excellent as usual, and Rory shows his instinctive understanding of physics and rigging. Thanks for taking us along!
That looked like some extra slippery mud ! Nice recovery even if it didn't go the way you wanted it to at first. It was successful and that's what counts.
I just now realized that trail mater ispainted the perfect color for winter in Moab. Four shades darker than Moab mud. Thataway when Mater comes home with mud on him, the mud is color coordinated accents tat make him look smoove and buttoned up
This is a good video. I think I’ve been watching too much of Rory doing spotting for people. I went to the post office this morning, this lady was trying to park her car but she straddled the high curb, I got out of my car and started giving her hand signals as to what to do. She got straightened out perfectly and thanked me several times. So Rory, I thank you. I have learned from you. 😉 I will never get tired of Rory,Sean and Mike. My favorites. ❤️🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍❤️
Wow!! Beautiful job!!!!! I thought it was in serious trouble as soon as it started moving!!! These Legends that put it there are some of the best wheelers , most knowledgeable in Moab that know these trails backwards and forwards so it’s saying a lot thst they got in this predicament , getting them out and then calling Mater says a lot! 👍👍
Rory, Shawn, & Mike you are the best!!! To walk up to a situation like this, vision the recovery, put the recovery into play, realize that Murphy's Law is going to jump in, and still do a fantastic recovery is truly remarkable. NASA needs you 3. PLease stay safe so I can scratch meeting you 3 off my bucket list. Thanks for sharing!!
Watching Shawn hanging there brought back some memories. This recovery reminds me of some old Lone Ranger episodes. Tonto would be used as bait so the Lone Ranger could ride in and be the hero.
Used to run into that kind of mud in Winnipeg. The locals called it Manitoba Gumbo. If you walked 50 yards, you ended up 6 inches taller. It wasn't all that thick, but a layer stuck to your boots with each step. Nice recovery and teamwork.
Remind me of when I drove in a landfill on a rainy day it was fun to slide a 20 ton garbage truck around great video and great job with the recovering and God bless from GA and stay safe
I drove 10 wheelers for years. Amazing how well they do donuts in mud. My favorite is 150 ton (haul capacity" doing donuts in the rain at a copper mine.
Yeah I know how good they go through mud I drove the semi and trailer to and from the landfill too with 100k of wet garbage but it was more fun with the little trucks
This one reminds me of working in the oil patch, it would rain and thunder for over a week or 3 steady and you would fight to just stay on a service gravel road...oh the ruts we would make were awesome! The day the rain would stop the dust would fly that afternoon. You would have to get a steam truck to get the near 1000 lbs of mud off the truck.
We have some similar mud on parts of the islands and let me tell you, it has a life of its own. It eats most anything it can encapsulate. Great job getting that Jeep off that slant without the poor guy losing it. Love the camaraderie between you guys. It’s awesome to watch. 🌺
I like everybody that’s going to be in the wrecker games but I believe trail Menard has the most experience and you just can’t beat that so my money is on you
Nicely done. I just have to say there must be an amazing amount of trust in your team, and Shawn must have some big brass ones to take that ride with a smile and a chuckle when it was done..
Wow,thought it was going over....Hats off to you Shawn for climbing into some of these rigs in precarious positions..Really liking the Big Block Dually wearing KM3's vibe on this channel

Another excellent, 4x4 off road recovery, of another 4x4 vehicle. Great job again as usual. Great video footage of the event. There was a bit of drama which was exciting, as the stuck jeep started to slide even more down the hill while being winched. Awesome! Good save and excellent expertise for the positioning of the anchor/towing rigs and the winching. Time for new winch remote batteries.
Another fantastic recovery, i was surprised that you didn't get a bit stuck too but knowing the vehicles capability and how to use it makes a lot of difference to the outcome.
👍👍👍👍👍😀Good job! That Jeep was lucky to keep 4 tires on the ground, it sure was on the "edge". That "dirt" mixed with some water sure turns into some nasty *** stuff.
That was great!. Good to see people who are wise enough to stop at the right time... Maybe just a hundred yards too late 🤣 but they called the right people and the Jeep didn't even get 'dirty' 🤌
That thick sticky mud really sucks. I noticed it turn the rear duals into one big super single. A little sketchy at first but it was a good recovery in the end.

yeah text book recovery.
Seriously. I bet a strong gust of wind on the high side might have been enough to finish the job. The owner definitely did the right thing calling in a professional, even though he had another vehicle with him.
I was worried that just Shaun's extra weight would make it want to roll. He was on the wrong side of the vehicle after all.
Why was Shawn wearing big potato skins over his boots? Is that ancient wisdom passed down by his people to the worthy? ;-)
