The 8 greatest travelers of all time: 1. Christoffer Columbus, 2. Vasco da Gama 3. Yuri Gagarin 4. Gabriel Traveler 5. Sir Richard Burton. 6. Roald Amundsen 7. Michael Palin 8. Marco Polo.
Haha. You forgot Ranulph Fiennes. One of my favorites (his book "The Secret Hunter" is epic). He was voted the greatest living explorer by someone or other.
Gagarin? Lol. Just because he was sent one time with capsule to space...then should add Alan Shepard and Neil Armstrong and other astronauts which went to the moon.
I think the guys with the spices and dried dates were giving you tea for later. He kept saying chai. So, tea. In Asia they use a very dry date and spices for tea. You need to spend more time in the Bay Area! 😉 Thanks for taking us off the tour path. Such a gorgeous, interesting place! It’s on my list now! 👍🏾
Yeah I realized afterwards he kept saying the word chai. Maybe he was trying to explain that it was spices used in tea. Or maybe he was trying to sell it to me.
Most large modern cities designed to be similar but these small towns tend to have more character. I am not sure if you remember but you had encountered another great old plane (chinar or Çınar in Turkish) tree back in Bulgaria. Talking about the trees, the fruit that resembled a date was elaeagnus in Latin (İğde in Turkish) but not sure the common English name since I never saw it in the US. Google search says, "Russian olive" though I never heard this name before. I wish you had more time to explore the market place and tasted some of the produce.
I think they were saying that those nuts were saffron??? Wow!!! All those wonderful spices that cost an arm and a leg back in the US!!! And people are so friendly!!! What a fascinating country!!!
You have excellent angles in filming and walking, over the shoulder showing scenes and simple views when walking. I noticed many youtubers travelers have a stare into the camera view and talk a bunch-which I don't think has much value in travel filming.
Hi there, i swear that you'll never forget it's mouthwatering taste, highly recommend you to visit the country in fall so that you'll have a great chance to try more than 10 types of melon, just visit and melons are my treat

Hi Gabriel Your Uzbekistan series is also fantastic. As always, this video of yours is also great. I feel very happy when you mention India in your video. Yes, samosa is a well-known Indian dish, which is available everywhere in the Indian subcontinent.
The thingy same as palm dates its actually not at all dates. Its different type of plant & taste is dry. Called Jeeda if i am not mistaken. It is basically good for someone who has diarea.
Loving your footage from Uzbekistan, especially all the people since they look like me! You should travel more in Central Asia, ancient crossroads between China, India, the Middle East and Europe. I think the super dry fruit was a jujube. My neighbor here in Nevada has a jujube tree in her front yard since they grow well in the desert.
Gabe did you dig some of the other people RUclipsRS on your Uzbekistan trip? Some I seemed arrogant and above the others with their "Teams" of other filmers and Hip crew. RUclips and traveling has become very generic, but you still keep it real and genuine! NO FAKE BS!
Samosas are not just in India. They are found in countries that were formally India as well (i.e., Pakistan and Bangladesh). While you may have had a vegetable samosa in India, there are meat samosas in India, Pakiststan and Bangladesh, too. Those are something you should try next time.
I know how lousy you must have felt when u caught your cold. I just got over one myself that, like u, started with a sore throat. I noticed B&B had one at the same time as u too. But you guys are pro vloggers far from home and gotta keep on pushin' on the road. I went for extra hot spicy falafels and sushi with a full dose of wasabi, anything hot & spicy, to clear my head. You've also got that option of a warm, sunny Greek isle where you can bake that cold out of u - yet another reason to head there for some rest & recuperation.
Hi there, I'm gonna tell you a brief information about the climate in Uzbekistan as a local. The country has got continental weather so it has got all four seasons in a year. About degrees in winter, it is a bit colder it's about -5 to -15 differs according to the locations mountain regions to the lands respectively. The snow is also can be witnessed around 10 cm to 50 cm according to the location. But because of global warming thesedays it's hard to feel to much freezing weather in big cities of the country. I highly recommend you to visit in Spring and Fall(fall is much more fascinating with it's mouthwatering fruits, especially melon, which the taste you can't forget ever in yoyr whole lifetime. Hopefully think this little intro can help you. Have a great day!!!

HI Gabriel, Interesting market place people are so curious plus the fact your a potential customer to buy something your American so you must have money to purchase goods.
Hi Gabriel I love your vids big fan..just want you to ask have you ever watched on youtube Journey to the Silk Road? It was filmed in 1997 I believe by a Japanese actor. most places where you recently visited including where your 2019 World Tour conference was. What a difference in travel at that time to now. It was very touching and will put a tear or two down your face. Peace to you and keep safe in your travels.
