Just stumbled across your vids and this one caught my attention…..first of all I want to say how great it is to hear such an genuine “honest review” and how it really is for us “normies” who don’t have the money or time to fish exclusive lakes who expect hundreds of and thousands each year. You’re a true gent and have the upmost respect for putting this out. This is what some of us need. So…..I have fished this venue a few times and it WAS a really good in its peak, but gone down hill since I saw this vid. I’ve not fished it since way before covid hit. Don’t need to duplicate what you said but I can’t agree more with all you said. All I say it’s money money money money, no care for the fish, no thought for the anglers. If your fishing still (I’m sure you are) please take the time to check out Frant lakes within 20 ish minutes of paddock wood. It’s a true venue and ran extremely well, max 40 anglers spread over 8 lakes at any time, 2 specimen lakes and 6 other lakes, lakes 1-6 can only be fish fri-sat inc bank hols. The fish a well looked after and rested 4 days a week. Nights only on the speci lakes. Anyway great vid, nice hear someone who speaks out.
ah thank you for such a lovely comment, i do try and give honest views as i dont want to see ppl waste money on venues where greed of lake owners takes precedence over fish welfare .....but that said if you can get down there mid working week i would say you would have a much better time there
Cats got down the pipe into the match lake the cats go to over 100lb in B lake people use 3 rods they dont care drive bait boats over your lines the noise from the pub is mad in the summer it used to be a paradise its a shame
i was a member there about 20 years ago and it was a great venue , such a shame the new owners dont run it right and care more about the money ..... i did hear tho that they wanted to turn it into a cat lake at one point
@fishittv566 I used to have a caravan there many years ago, then I see there was bigger carp in there, so joined agian and first year it was beautiful some times i didnt see another person for 3 dayd 2nd year it started to get busy then it become unmissable tricklebrook or elphicks you can't go wrong
hi I would never fish pitlands farm or monks fish even if they both gave a month free fishing can they will run by greed a they dont think of the anglers
@@jacksmith4484 same as me hence why all my videos so far are kent based ...i need to get further out but for now i still have loads i want to get to inc charlies, mousehole bramleys and res down at hartlylands just to name a few
