I had the stacks slapped on and tuned from a shop. Big improvement just off of that. I'm looking at doing the throttle body next. I got the exact gains they got just off of the velocity stacks.

@@ragimundvonwallat8961 It’s easy when the bike is flashed. Plus the stacks that are stock are decent but not great. The shorter stacks are designed for max HP along with a high air flow filter. Mine gets 60 hp as of now with my own stacks I made plus a full Toce exhaust. Goal is to get 70 from this small bike.
Okay...you have convinced me. I was on the fence about the N400, even though I believe that the stock HP will be just fine for me. Now I see that a simple upgrade will remove any doubt. This installation is TOO easy. I might wait until the warranty expires after the first year, UNLESS.....there is an aftermarket airbox that I can buy without cutting up the stock one....I would love to do these mods as soon as I get the bike!
You still get good gains from just the Vstacks, ECU flash, and Full EXhaust without cutting the airbox. However, used airboxes are very cheap on eBay if you're concerned about cutting the one that came with your bike.

Had my 400 dynod today and it’s putting down 60.10HP at 10k rpm. I only removed the snorkels from the air box. Didn’t modify mine yet. I made my own velocity stacks at my job in carbon fiber, printed them and tumbled for a few hours to smooth em out. Full Toce exhaust with a local tuner flashing the ECU. I had 87 in the tank also. The guy almost dropped his jaw. He said I left a bit of power on the table plus it was hot as fuk in there. 100 ambient. Im making a ram air to fit inside the stock airbox so that and the better fuel, should be pulling close to 65 easy when I’m done. Not bad for such a light bike.

@@Jopakilo I sent in my ECU and had it re-flashed, installed the velocity stacks and did the air box cut out modifications + M4 full exhaust system. Look on the Norton website - it should all be there as far as products and installation. Super smooth power delivery from the bottom on up. I think now they might even have a ram air system but that may only be for the track bikes set up. I've done many track sessions against the "Feel Like a Pro" ninja 400 that are stock engines and in the straights I can tell I definitely have more power.

In order to get the same gains, you would need our flash. We've spent many, many hours with many exhausts fine tuning and developing both our ECU tune and Velocity Stacks.

How long does it take to get the ecu back once they receive it? They had mine about a week now, an havent heard anything or got a tracking number lol. I got a full exhaust, stacks block off plate , air filter, every came an is installed, just wait on the ecu to get back here, time goes sooooo slow when ur waiting on something, i feel like a child on the night b4 xmas.

Yesss, it came like 6days later. Was totally worth it, got the mgp full system exhaust , velocity stacks, block off plate, DNA filter, airbox mod that recommended by Norton with the stacks, an there ECU flash. My bike is a beast. I can hit 75 easy in 3rd gear, 135mph I had it going. It's a no brainier, definitely recommend this! Best flash on the market, gotta run premium gas after tho, 91 octane or higher, I use 94 octane an it runs an sounds like a 650 imo.
The 7 hp gain shown here is with full exhaust and air filter. This video shows with full exhaust already installed, only a high flow air filter isn't used, but we have dyno data on our website for that. The Ninja 400 is fuel injected, the fuel filter is on the fuel pump, it doesn't make sense to change to an aftermarket fuel filter unless the OEM one goes bad, and it won't change how much horsepower it makes.

Running Velocity Stacks only will not accomplish much, in order to make gains you must get a tune. It won't hurt the bike, but it won't really help either.
I have the 2021 ninja 400 I have BMC Air filter , SC project full exhaust , block offs and Dynoed to the ECU. They left the baffle on as they said small bikes have better back pressure with baffle on. So on the Dyno sheet stock was 42HP after tune it was 46HP. Now if i do velocity stacks and retune it. With baffle off would I get more out of it ? I want to get 50HP out of it. Don't need ram air honestly. Also my 02 sensor is connected to the exhaust. My other bikes have it off. Blocked off. Will removing the 02 make it better ?
What kind of gains does the ninja 400 see with just the flash and stacks, and a aftermarket air filter/modified air box... And a cheap slip on? Can't really justify spending $1500+ for the full kit to only see maybe 7hp.. it's a $5k bike. That's like 30% of the bikes value.. or $215 per HP to do things proper.. seems nutty to me.
With stock exhaust and/or slip-on, it's still around 4-5 hp gain for velocity stacks and ECU flash. As to horsepower to cost ratio, this is very cheap for the amount of horsepower gain, especially being bolt on. Keep in mind, on average each horsepower gained in the automotive / motorsport industry is around $400-900, so for 7 hp, this is well under the average. Also, especially for these ultralight-weight bikes, it's very common to spend upwards of a third to half the MSRP on modifications depending on use. For racing, people often spend 100% or more modifying these bikes to be as competitive as possible.
7 hp on a bike like this is a 15% gain that's a fuck load that's like a 200 hp car going to 230 for just 1500 dollars which is basically unheard naturally aspirated this is a good ass deal

You can squeeze another 4 hp if you upgrade to full exhaust system w/ aftermarket air & fuel filters.

Yes, you just remove the O2 sensor and plug the exhaust. There is no difference, as we disable it in our tune.

The velocity stacks will add more horsepower, with your exhaust leaving the baffle in is likely best. Leaving the O2 sensor in is entirely up to you.
