wow I'm in Kappa and having regrets.. i really dont feel comfortable in Kappa.. i dont fit in and i tried to get off line before crossing.. i just think pledging is an unhealthy attachment and i didnt care to go through that to join and even though i stuck through it I still fill uneasy that i did it after 6 years.. so spiritual reasons is not my main reason i want to get out but its a reason added.. i'm just worried about what reactions i may get when i decide to denounce.. anyone can denounce.. it's just announcing to the public that takes courage to do so.. my anxiety and mild trauma needs to be healed..
@@92greenebeen Praying for you brother. Do as God leads and if you need to, pull in a therapist as well. Just because God may be asking you to denounce (or you feel led to) doesn't mean you can't get emotional and mental support along the way. Everyone's journey is different and I encourage you to do what you feel is best for you. God may not lead you to do a video - He may just want your obedience right now. Hope this helps!
I went to Ohio Christian University and just the other day I started watching the sorority line dance and started feeling bad about myself because “ I didn’t have the sorority sister experience “ but then God showed me this / your page. It was like God was saying oh no child this wasn’t for you, this is why you didn’t have interest. Wow Thank you for this …. God is so reassuring…. My life will not be in secret I live for the Glory of God. Thank you Sister’s for sharing your amazing stories

I share a similar sentiment. I have been wanting to be a part of a sisterhood and saw all of the bonding and opportunity with AKAs in my hometown. I have been having this naggin as to why I haven't joined, why is it so secretive, and how do I even "ask" to join if I wanted to. After a few years of feeling like well I guess I can't ever join, today I came across this video and it saved me! Saved me from more anxiety about why I haven't been invited to join or feeling lost of a sisterhood without it. This video was confirmation, this worrying about sororities pledging is not what he's told me to do! I want to be more like Him daily and this ain't it.

They've yet to build any institution in black society. Nary a hospital, university, supermarket chain, independent school, or the like IN THE NAME OF THE D9 ORGANIZATION.
Everything that you have stated is facts sister. This is truly a spiritual battle! I just graduated from an HBCU. Throughout my college years the frats, and soros approached me constantly. Certain things were put in place throughout my college years to make me join these secret societies. The sorority women tried to date me, only later to convince me to join the divine 9! The frat men approached me as well, and the things that they were telling me did not sit well with my soul. All of the things that these fraternities had to offer was already placed in me from The Lord! Even though there was a lot of hate, and lies placed on me throughout my campus. Ironically, the same men who pledged to get fame, connections, women, etc, told me that they looked up to me, and respected me! This was hard to believe at that moment in time because I received a lot of backlash during the 4 years as an undergrad. I later found out that it was not due to the way that I looked and dressed. It was the way that I carried myself! I did not comprise my faith, and morals to join a society that DECEIVED these young black people! THANK YOU LORD!

Thank you for sharing! I denounced DST in December 2021. When God showed me in November 2021 it was time to go, I was quick with it. I told God I didn't want to come into 2022 in the organization and He was so kind enough to answer my prayer. God bless you both and your obedience to Him. Thank God He is still speaking to His people and they are being OBEDIENT no matter the cost. I was led by the Holy Spirit in 1996 (when there was no social media) to come COMPLETELY OUT of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and I obeyed God even though I had limited biblical understanding at the time.
ALL praise to JESUS CHRIST whose word is still setting the captives "free": spirit, soul and body. Hallelujah!!! 🙌🙌

I never felt like I belonged but still tried to force my way into it!! God had been dealing with me since the pandemic! I couldn’t run anymore.. I HAD TO BE OBEDIENCE!! My children life depends on it!!!

At this point it doesn’t matter what they say, these organizations have a spirit behind them and you can’t undo what’s spiritual with the flesh so that’s why I renounced it before God. I don’t care about a backlash. I rather stand with God and be judged by the fraternity than stand with the fraternity and be judged by God.

I'm so glad I decided to click on your video today. Normally I would pass up videos like this because I didn't want to hear it but today I said let me see what she's talking about and I saw that your video was denouncing the 2 sororities I was thinking about. When y'all start talking about being obedient I'm glad I listened, I've been thinking about joining once I get my Bachelors but couldn't decide on AKA or Delta for whatever reason I couldn't make up my mind...now I know why, it was ment for me to watch your video. 😘💯
Great video I almost went through the MPI process for Grad chapter AKA but something just didn’t sit right with my spirit and I dropped out 4 days before I was supposed to start the process . I fought it for 6 whole months and was so conflicted and sad but I’m thankful for obedience, nothing in this world is worth me losing eternity. I felt a weight lifted off my shoulders when I decided to dropout and thankful for videos like this! Thanks for your honesty ladies. Glad I made my decision.

Honestly God bless you both. I watched your first video about denouncing and I didn’t think it applied to me. When I was in nursing school I got inducted into Sigma Theta Tau around 2015. All I had to do was pay the yearly fee of $120. I didn’t have any meetings or meet up or anything, just the initial induction ceremony. I listened to this video last night, and I listened to the videos you linked in the bio. Mind you, I’m home sick right now not feeling well. So last night, while I was listening to a woman give her testimony to denounce I remember falling into a sleep and then abruptly waking up to this thought like “GET OUT OF SIGMA.” Today, I dug back into my closet and dug out the tassel I got for the society, that’s going into the trash. The most shocking thing though was seeing that the certificate folder had their symbol on it and on the symbol was an all seeing eye. That’s freemasonry 101. Thank you LaLa for being obedient to God, because you’re truly helping us see how we’re being deceived. I’m calling them first thing tomorrow to see how I can get out!!!!!!!!!!! Lord have mercy on us. The devil is deceiving people left and right, it’s like nothing is innocent anymore.

God bless you LaLa. Shortly after you released this & I watched your other denouncing video, God rebuked me with a heavy prophetic word about all of the Divine 9 and Greek orgs. My call is to share the prophetic word later this year, but I followed the official denouncing/renouncing process. In just the couple months of my obedience God has opened so many doors. I was truly in bondage and didn’t know..

Ladies...I have to say that I appreciate your video. I thankful for you both being bold, brave, and obedient. I haven't wanted to think about this aspect, but God has led me to be here. Now I know why things happened in my life. I was a week out of crossing over to being a member of DST in undergrad, but I ended up depledging due to some craziness with my line. Then, I was very close to pledging again via grad chapter, but did not make line due to some other craziness-even though I had all the right credentials. My best friend (who is part of DST) was stunned by the rejection. Finally, the Lord showed me that I was not supposed to be a part of any of this-otherwise it would have happened. I have been at peace ever since. I no longer have any desire to pledge. And I am a chaplain.

Love these videos…my teens are about to go to college and I had a feeling they shouldn’t pledge in college but now I KNOW they shouldn’t and we discussed. My ex-fiancé back in college was a Pi Kappa Alpha and they did HORRIBLE things to each other as pledges. I asked him what his frat tattoo symbols meant and he told me he could never ever tell me even if I was his wife…that he had pledged loyalty to the fraternity ABOVE ALL ELSE. That was the beginning of the end of our engagement. God was changing me back then and he pulled me away from him because he was not following God.
LaLa, you are SOOOO brave and bold and I love your videos. I deleted my whole playlist after watching your Beyoncé and Hip Hop videos. We live in Memphis and the Memphis music scene infiltrates everything here. I deleted rap, hip-hop, rock, literally everything. Even if there are no explicit lyrics it’s basically all about heartache and chaos and I have too much of that in my life anyway. I had to repent for playing that in the car with my kids!

This video came up for me to watch and I had to share a dream I had about 2 months ago. I went to HU btw and in the dream I was telling everyone who was in a fraternity and sorority that they needed to give it up because it was wicked. I was so angry in the dream because no one was listening to me🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️

That “lift” was my exact experience. A peace that I could never get as a Christian in Delta for 13 years. Had I known, I would have been done it. kudos for your immediate and hastened obedience once you knew.

I am so glad God blocked me from joining a sorority when I was in undergrad back in 2005 I believe. My heart was so hurt by the rejection. My dad told me if they don't choose you, your better off without them. He was absolutely correct. At the time, it hurt me but looking back God blocked it. It was a reason. I've seen these type videos for the last several years and I am just grateful to God from separating me from things that were not of Him. Many blessings to my sisters in Christ in this video.

First I want to thank God for your obedience. I found your channel a while back when I was lookin for genuine Christian content and I subscribed. I LOVED your personality and just your upbeat nature, but your affiliation deterred me from watching. I’ve never been a member but I wanted it for SOOOO long; since middle school. I had quite a few teachers who were AKAs. Right before I went to college YEARS ago, a minister warned me in passing, but I never knew exactly why. I brushed it off. Undergrad & grad school, I TRIED & TRIED & TRIED. It never worked out. Eventually I stopped trying. Once I grew closer to God, I realized it was His protection ALL ALONG. God is definitely using you. I’ll be watching now (and I shouldn’t have let that deter me). But honestly, it may have been for me to leave THIS comment . We never know how God has or will use our testimony to help, validate, or even protect others.

This is an amazing testimony. Back in college I had an interest in pledging Delta. As bad as I wanted to do it, I never did. Now listening today, I realize why God never allowed the opportunity to come forth. I recently cleaned house of all the things that I was engaging in, that was unknowingly causing spiritual attacks and God is still working with me. I'm also amazed that I saw alcohol and other things I was thinking of just last night, that I needed to get rid of and you said it here in this video. Wow, this is my message that I was right. I love this because I’m 18 and for the longest I’ve been like “you can do community service on your own, you can make friends on your own” and I thought I was the only one who thought this. On this college campus it’s so many purple trying to talk into my ear but I can’t imagine letting certain words roll off my tongue. Thank y’all so much.

This was my reason for not pledging. Before college I planned to pledge AKA, but once I got there, it just seemed pointless. My thoughts were "I already have 3 sisters and plenty of friends so I'm good on sisterhood and there are ample opportunities to do community service". I questioned that if the goal is truly sisterhood and community service, why is it a requirement to go through rituals and hazing to be a part of it? Why is it open only to women who go to college? These are the thoughts I had at that time that made me very hesitant, but after I heard about some hazing stories that involved sexual favors and some that led to death, it was solidified for me that I wanted nothing to do with it. I just didn't want to be associated with it in any way.

This is so awesome ladies. I pledged Alpha Kappa Alpha and denounced and my husband denounced Omega Psi Phi a couple of years before me. There is so much idolatry and demonic rituals and oaths made. It is dangerous spiritually and not worth our souls. Thank you both for your bravery for putting this on RUclips. This was such a great conversation! I am currently in the process of denouncing my sorority and was having moments of hesitation if whether I was making the right decision. So, I prayed asking God for guidance and wisdom. The warfare that occurred that night after my prayer, was confirmation that I have to let it go. And I agree with the both of you, when you stated, “it does take all that,” to truly follow God and align yourself with His will.
Whew. The spiritual warfare is SERIOUS when it comes to walking away. That was confirmation for me as well.

God’s in PERFECT in all his ways. I denounced AKA in 2019, and recently I have been feeling some type over the last few months as I’ve seen many friends become part of the organization. I was feeling like I was missing out, and didn’t have this crutch to lean on as a means of strengthening bonds with them…I thought about writing to get reinstated …but I knew that would be spiritual death for me…this video reminded me of one walking in obedience and two the reasons why God instructed me to denounce in the first place. stand on your square beloved. We were something before these orgs came into existence back in the 1900's. One of our problems as black americans is we don't take pride in the strength of our culture, lineage, and heritage. We have an outstanding heritage of resilience and perserverence.

I need these testimonies from time to time. I was told at a young age that taking the oaths of sororities was idolatry but every now and then, I see a Christian pledge or a sorority wedding ritual and become tempted.
I am so amazed of the increase of these sorority and fraternity denouncements. I never pledged a D9 organization, but I wanted to since junior high. Everytime an opportunity was available, God blocked it everytime. I didn't understand, but when things were revealed, I was sooo glad. I'm just glad more and more of these videos are coming out. Young people are being deceived of the looks and popularity of these organizations when really there deeper demonic and cursed spiritual ties that are attached.

I am a white woman and also have never been part of a sorority but have come across a few of these videos and have learned a lot. It has been encouraging to hear women passionate for God's word and serious about a Holy Spirit lead life. I do wonder if the Greek organizations outside the D9 have any similar oaths and covenants that you know of. I don't hear of much connection to other sororities for college grads except for excitement when their daughters join. I have wondered though what secret rituals there could be in any of them and what could possibly be necessary to keep secret. I just want to say that it warms my heart to see young followers of Christ, who are black, on fire for our Lord Jesus Christ. Awesome testimony! I hope and pray that the Lord will bring ladies like you two into my (34 year old) daughter's life, and my (27 year old) stepdaughter's life. My daughter isn't in a sorority, but my stepdaughter is a Zeta. Please pray the the Lord will open her eyes, first to truly know Him as her Lord and Savior, and to be obedient in renouncing the Zetas.
My daughter made a profession of faith when she was in her early 20's, but I'm not sure if she's truly saved.

It’s so interesting for me to watch your denouncing videos (which also led me to watch a couple more). I’m from Asia and we also have greek frats ands soros in university, people pledge and become part of it and carry that for life. But we don’t really take them seriously like an actual part of our life or identity. They are more like ordinary social groups / organizations where people can socialize, have connections and fit in. So yeah, interesting how other cultures are very deep into it as part of identity. But there are also other groups that are more deep into their rituals and long history.
These people just love to connect their faith to everything which is fine, but your response should only be the reason you should join. Not comparing their religion to it. My wife is an AkA and it’s only a social club, and individuals coming together to assist each other in life, business, etc. These people are religious nuts.

Also it's important to remember that Greeks usually have an unhealthy ungenuine attachment with each other A lot of it is trauma bonding and forced due to their crazy process ... so they feel obligated to each other with little in common outside wearing the same letters and being of the same race and gender. You said Greeks usually have an unhealthy ingenuine attachment with each other. Not me, I have been a Kappa for 21 years. I became a member by myself in 2001. It doesn't go that deep with me. I have 30 or so 1st cousins I bond with 1st, my family. Kappa isn't my life just a small part of it. I maintain some kind of friendship with those I had friendship before I became a Kappa and they in turn do me. To me God uses the Greek and Non Greek for his works. This is my story and I am sticking to it.

A lot of Greekdom is about worship of SELF and this is the height of idolatry. Especially in AKA. As a former member I could see this manifest in many of my former "sorors" and their extreme conceit and arrogance. I'm glad God led me in this good work over 15 years ago to leave this org and he SHUT the door so l couldn't come back even if I wanted to. Thank you for your continued obedience to God.
Good morning, reading through the comments. Also speaking for myself. God tell us to do something however we focus on "man" thoughts and response. Meaning thats why people have a hard time renouncing their Greek letters. Anxiety pops because of what one think. This video is so helpful and encouraging. Seek God will and allow God to control the narrative.
You are absolutely correct! I know that was my main fear.. what people will think. But I realized it’s literally God over everything.. including people! And I would rather be obedient to God then have to answer for my disobedience on Judgment.

Oh wow. I literally wrote in my journal several times that I feel like my abundant life/freedom/everything I’ve ever wanted is on the other side of my obedience, or something to that effect. My scripture/quote that I had read for Black graduation in college was Proverbs 3:5-5. And, I have been struggling with surrender and in particular, my membership in Delta since 2017. I renounced but have not formally denounced. While this video doesn’t get into the details of the idolatry, many things in this video resonated with me. God has been dealing with me on two things: surrendering to His lordship and being obedient without fear or hesitation. And when I obeyed Him earlier this week by reluctantly speaking to a stranger who was standing outside of Kroger smoking who I was able to connect to a resource center where he can get his equivalent of a high school diploma (and it happened on his 18th birthday), I remembered thinking, “Now, what if I had decided not to say anything? And what else is on the other side of my obedience.” I have a lot of things on my mind like whether I can wear nails, makeup, lashes, Nike, sports bras at the gym, etc. Part of me feels like it’s apart of the pruning process, and the other part of me feels like it’s Satan trying to bring me into legalism to make me feel like obeying God is too much. I said a lot, but in short, thank you ladies. And, thank you for being fly while sharing your testimonies. 💃🏽 You two remind me of my former line sister and I sitting up there, which I hope is a vision for the future. May God bless you both tremendously for your obedience. Last thing: you all made the conversation so natural and light. I think that also shows the power of God in your lives. You’re not phased by the world’s view of your decision, so that brings a serious calm and inner peace, which I so desperately hope for in life. I’m preparing to go on a college trip with 6 other friends. They all pledged a sorority. Two of them were my prophytes. One was my ace. Lord, please help me. A part of me likes being beholden to nothing and no one other than my Creator, His Son, and the Holy Spirit as well though… like I’m just Gabrielle. But, it’s hard. I still want to stroll as soon as the beat drops. Please pray for me.

Oh my word, this could be why I've been unsuccessful 4 times with the local organization. My husband recently asked me what do you benefit from joining, you have to pay to join, they've broken your heart, why keep keep trying. Now, here I find myself saying may be God is protecting me from something that I cannot see or being too naive to believe.

you are correct. these soros do think they are better than everyone else. I thought about pledging the graduate chapter, but I said no. I am not phony and never thought I was better than others. they carry it like a pledge of honor. I had a colleague who said when I die I hope people attend my funeral. she is old and naive. I told her girl I will speak for you. I mean it. my other colleague, an outspoken Leo woman said, all of that money you paid and are paying for AKA, you think maybe they will not come. she told her she doesn't have to buy friends. just take the dues and donate yourself. these women if they try to think they are better than me, I will have to talk to or at them. because unless someone is paying y expensive dues, I am not doing it.

Oh, my goodness ladies! Obedience and submission! When I tell you that I was listening to a prayer on my way to work. After I had finished listening to the prayer, your video popped up next. When I tell you that God works in mysterious ways, He does just that. My friend and I have been battling with denouncing DST. It has been tugging on us for the past two years. God spoke this morning and told me that I am going to tell you when you and your friend are going to denounce Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Then God spoke and said when you go home, I want you to throw out your elephants. He said you don't need that. When I tell you that you ladies have blessed my soul. I know that God gives us the spirit of discernment, knowledge and wisdom. His word will never change. I told my friend this morning that we are on this journey for Christ and that we have to be obedient to his word. If we are not obedient, then there are consequences to our actions. He said, when I tell you to denounce Delta, he said there will be no confusion. He said everything is done in peace, because I am a GOD OF PEACE. God is SOMEBODY!! Ladies, you all are beautiful inside and out. This is not the first time I have come across these kinds of videos. This is the best video that I have seen yet. I immediately saw God and the Holy Spirit moving in you all lives. May God continue to bless you all in all of your endeavors. Continue to bless others with your video. I'm an Alumni of UH and live in N Texas now. Like I mentioned in comments section of your yoga video although I was recruited by AKA and Delta I was never interested. My best friend and my roommate both pledged, one to AKA one to Delta during the same semester. I asked questions and did not like the fact that sorors were not suppose to hang with friends outside of the sorority and I felt that was so against Christian teachings. If they were seen walking with me on campus their sorority members would ask them why were they walking with that Got Damn independent. I would laugh out loud because to me it was so silly. I would refer to myself as a Darn Good Independent when one of their sorors asked my name. I thought their label was rude and silly however I was not confrontational. I was just against people being unnecessarily cruel to others. These sororities and frats bully people and I had no plans to be bullied and treated like a slave.
Thank you for this information. I never knew why being in a sorority was wrong because I never belonged to one and God never allowed me to join one but now, I know. Thank you both for sharing this information.

This is so great to hear that you all denounce your sororities. Because the devil is a lie, and I too denounce my fraternity kappa from the Univ. Of Arkansas Pine Bluff the spring of 1990. As soon as I cross over, I felt this demonic spirit come over me and when that happened I knew something was wrong since that day I haven't looked back since.
