Lyft was my out because I'm handicapped, but I wasn't able to sign up until I finally got approved to lease the car I have now. Institutionalized poverty is a thing. Nobody rational is suggesting Walmart pay six figures, but they do need to pay a living wage and stop encouraging employees to get welfare. Roger is Great! Reminds me of Ronald Reagan, 40th U.S. President, when he was an actor. Only Roger is more charismatic and popular. Please keep making these Honest Ads. There are so entertaining.
Like some of the other people here i also worked for Wal-Mart for a time just before and during covid. When i was hired the first thing my manager told me was you'll either love this job or hate it. I was then stuck dealing with some of the worst managers i have ever dealt with in my almost 58 years on this planet. On top of that, you had your percentage of workers who weren't worth a crap, the ones who talked about their love lives graphically in the aisles next to you, some of the bosses helping out only the female employees, etc. The only place i worked that was worse than Walmart was when i worked at a factory. Multiply my Walmart working experience by 3.
When I worked at target I helped unload trucks. I was tasked with pulling pallets out onto the floor. I was in 49 at that time. It was me another older guy pulling these heavy pallets out. When I asked why wasn't some these much younger crew members not doing this, Yeah I am that bold. I worked in the textile mills and until the company outsourced my job. I was da**ed good at it. Anyways I was told none were as fast as we 2 were. It was the same in the second target that I worked in. And these younger workers were mostly college students who felt rather free talking about their love lives and bitch how hard they had it in the store. With in earshot of customers.. Or rather "guest" as target calls the sheep to be shorn.
I just noticed that every video he does, while humorous and fun to watch is lacking one important detail. We as a people make everyone of the situation possible because we complacently spend our money then cry about it. Maybe we should vote the one way that work in capitalism. With our money. Dont like it dont spend your money. Like how I refuse to buy apple products because i dont like the fact they are fighting right to repair. Just a thought.
It's the correct way to end this, but corporations have a strangle hold on consumers because spending money is like being addicted to drugs for some people.
It’s just not gonna work those companies are big and sheeple go to them plus they have so much money and credit even if hypothetically people stopped buying from them they could remain open for years
Being able to choose where you shop is a privilege of the wealthy, not everyone can afford to. I can, but not everyone can. How about instead you start setting up parallel power structures and encouraging mutual aid in your community to make the whole capitalist mode of production obsolete, it's about the only for of revolution left open to people in most countries these days what with increasingly repressing governments and political corruption backed up by huge police states curtailing democracy in Britain, Canada, the US and most if Europe and CIA backed fascist coups curtailing it elsewhere. It's less heavy on the casualties than a violent uprising as well.
In a country like the US, were most people can't even afford a single unexpected, 3 to 4-digit bill without going deeper into an already existing crippling debt, you either spend your money at the cheapest option or go without whatever it is you wanted to buy. The idea, to vote with money, works! But not when noone has the money to choose the more expensive option. The US is a beautiful example of why the market should not and will not regulate itself, and why the government is the lesser evil (in contrast to businesses).

No matter how many times Roger implies my life decisions, hopes and dreams are absolute shit…I still love watching him. 😊
That's the beauty of quality comedy, the ability to communicate difficult ideas or concepts without provoking a negative response, thus making it more easily accepted into the mind and processed.
Racks and racks of shame fabric 😂😂😂
I just can't lolol shame fabric
This series is teaching me so much about America
Come visit its great! /s
Not just America, capitalism in general. America is just capitalism but without many if any actual regulations on anything
This is nothing new but funny way of showing it
@@eeveegaming4798
And the regulations we do have are slowly being undone by "lobbyists" or in other words, rich corporations are bribing politicians so they can make more money
"cApItUhlIsUhM bAd."- someone benefiting from capitalism.
*"Well you can wait in line for an hour at a regular checkout or use one of those self checkouts, where we watch you like a criminal. Don't let the door hit you on your way out. Best regards"* -Walmart CEO
the movie Wall-e is actually a very accurate documentary sent back from the future to warn us.
Hell yeah
Agent J least he apparently reads, bend back head, open mouth now.....
Now, I am going to have to watch it, lol
Yep
dude, i'm scared...
rgerber its ok ROGER FOR PRESIDENT!
Mane on a new plane nigga I second the motion!
Don't worry,
I've been talking with jesus, and he tells me everything's alright
Yay capitalism!😉
Rick Says it’s not capitalism, we live in a “Dollarochracy”. In fact, it’s morons that blame capitalism and give way too much power to the government to “fix the problem,” that is making things worse. Who do you think pays the Politicians to pass further laws to protect these companies? If you’re curious just ask Hillary who funded her campaign...😱😱
This is by far the scariest and darkest honest ad ever
South Park did an episode on this. "The store's lowering it's prices.. Soon, all shall be Wallmart."
Damn this sounds like Walmart
Damon Richter
"Nickeled and Dimed"...good book
Walmart is probably going to get run in to the ground by amazon
But Amazon is also evil.
Damon Richter he was mentioning Walmart
@@jamesb1221222 Amazon is arguably worse.

big businesses hate you guys. and that's why I love you
This guy is pure gold.. How am I just now finding this? 😂😭
Indeed
Just found it myself. Binging now this series is awesome
Don’t feel so bad, I just found this.
That got dark real quick
And Roger is wearing black and orange, halloween colors

Hey, I remember you! I'm still subscribed to you from when I last saw one of your comments and thought "you know what, I do need a different video of a banana every goddamn day". Keep up the good work!
True story. The small town my neighbor grew up in had two sewing shops. A Walmart moved in and opened their own sewing shop in it. The two small businesses were went out of business and then Walmart closed their sewing shop.

true. depends what kind of video and how often you upload.
well, I'm sure you can spend at least 1 hour doing research on the subjects that they've opened to your mind. Or that you'll find some documentary film that did just that and can present all the data to you.
but yeah it's a pity that they don't give us links to sources that we may be interested into following.
Roger tells it like it is. Thanks for who you are and what you do.
I worked at Walmart in 2016 and they were definitely fond of anti-union propaganda. Then less than 3 months later, they fired me for some trumped up reason so I didn't get benefits.
I worked for Walmart in 2020 and 2021, they sent me home the day before my benefits kicked in.

The part about not hiring full time so as to avoid paying insurance hit so hard, I'm certain my ancestors felt it. Thankfully, the American Care Act had my back and I got insurance for just $50 a month, and ended up really needing it that year.

can we pleeeeeeeeese get a parody honest ad "if Cracked were honest'?
Joe Momberg they did! It was a series, Agents of Cracked!

'If startup ecosystems were really honest'
'If the software platforms were honest about your data'
'If none profit organizations were really honest' (end this one with charity water, please)
'If Superbowl commercials were honest'
'If the army and military commercials were honest'

I noticed in certain stores including grocery stores that before a product goes on sale, they'll raise the original price making that product look more like a deal. bastards!
Jay Snow I thought that wad illegal
Jay Snow cause thats what the consumer wants it to be sale so they can feel good about getting a deal.
Jcpenny's tried to change that, they came out and said our sale price is going to be our regular price and it back fired on them.
Yep Walmart does suck ass I use to work there until I decided I don't wanna live in poverty the rest of my life.
@@bulldozer8997 no I'm glad they only paid me 7 an hour cause if they woulda paid better I might not have moved on to a job where I'm making 1500 a week. So actually Walmart was a blessing in disguise
Bull Dozer you are the kind of person who thinks poor people are at fault for being poor and just “don’t work hard enough” right?
@@bulldozer8997 My problem with your statement is that you're implying Walmart is doing nothing wrong by offering poverty wages because people can just "get a different job," but the reality is that many people can't just "get a different job" and are forced to take whatever job they can to pay their bills.
They're essentially forcing the rest of us to subsidize their employees through tax dollars because they don't pay people enough to survive. That's my problem with Walmart and corporations like it.
@@bulldozer8997 A living wage is enough to survive in the geopolitical area. Obviously some areas are cheaper or more expensive than others. A poverty wage is anything below a living wage. Tens of millions of Americans are working 2+ jobs with poverty wages just to be able to survive
@@bulldozer8997 It depends entirely on the area, but $7.25 is impossible to live on in every place I've lived in California. I was making $10-$12 in socal before this January and struggled hardcore. I now drive for Lyft because it's one of my extremely limited options as someone handicapped and incapable of most manual labor. Bet you didn't consider the disabled/handicapped in the workforce. We exist.
Very accurate picture of what has already happened. Amazon will kill the cube just like Netflix killed Blockbuster.
More like Amazon will take over The Cube's empty husk and spread bigger from there.
As a former Walmart employee, you guys definitely have my applause for this one.
If these Roger bits were commercials, I would watch them.
So from what I know of the Horton Cinematic Universe so far, the only thing that makes Roger actually angry is the possibility that his workers might end a sentence with the word "union".

It's sad that this is how things really are..

"ya wanna get an eye exam and buy a trampoline?" 😂😂😂💀
Ha! Roger/Cracked have hit the nail on the head regarding super-stores.
Thx.
What's true 6 years ago is still true today.
This sounds like a cyberpunk novel... Oh wait..
It's real life.
*"SO COME ON DOWN TO ROGERS ITEM CUUUBBE"* 🤣😂😂 always gets me
Screw it lets be everything
I just noticed that every video he does, while humorous and fun to watch is lacking one important detail. We as a people make everyone of the situation possible because we complacently spend our money then cry about it. Maybe we should vote the one way that work in capitalism. With our money. Dont like it dont spend your money. Like how I refuse to buy apple products because i dont like the fact they are fighting right to repair. Just a thought.
It's the correct way to end this, but corporations have a strangle hold on consumers because spending money is like being addicted to drugs for some people.
It’s just not gonna work those companies are big and sheeple go to them plus they have so much money and credit even if hypothetically people stopped buying from them they could remain open for years
He addresses that indirectly. And ... technically it's still an ad ;)
That’s definitely a parody of Walmart.
Just watch the big twist to be Roger is real and does run everything in the world this way with the same smugness and these videos are his gigantic "fuck you" to all of us.
lol
Oddly, I'd be okay with that. But only if it's Roger.
Hahahaha this was soo deep! 😂😂 so accurate. Exactly what store owners are like. But stores can replace cashiers with machines. Man thats how town life ends up like its scary. The sound of greed makes me laugh lol 😂 keep them coming roger

I didn't pay great attention in history class, but that sounds kinda familiar. Wasn't there some italian guy who got real stoked about that? I can't remember how that turned out...
