Cannot thank devon enough for this video. I remember being the best arm wrestler in my high school, then arm wrestling another strong dude who had a really good hook in front of a huge group of people, long story short, he pinned me multiple times. I remember how embarrassed and angry I felt on the way home that day telling myself that would never happen again, rolling in bed almost all night, I began to research and came across this video. Next day I asked for a rematch and the dude was so confident since he destroyed me previously, he went for the hook again and instead of fighting for a toproll/hook, I let him take all the space and relied on bicep strength to pin him. I remember all the weight on my shoulders get lifted off me instantly. Cheers champ🙌
in my case, i'm just trying to beat my friend in arm wrestling. dude has bigger forearms, bicep and his palm is genetically bigger than mine. i have the weight advantage , but yeah hopefully once i get the technique ill win like i smh do
Alright this is some gem of an information. I’ve been struggling with this fr so long. Finally I feel like I heard something that seems promising. Very well explained
I have a very hard time doing that. I think everybody has adopted to call it the Devon hook. Strength is important but you also need to have a long ass arm and a long hand because if you can shove up high before anything else you have full wrist to wrist unification. I have a long arm but my hand is below average size, so cupping for me like that is very hard and I can easily get my hand busted open. I found if you can't do this here, do entirely the opposite but with the same name. Full offensive drag hook and protect the pronation. This is an awesome video demonstrating how to combat somebody trying to be offensive.
This technique works extremely well on strong side pressure hook guys. Just hold them in a defensive hook and they'll drain out their energy and when you feel they're tired go for your attack. But, it's useless against back pressure top rollers as yor forearm will just get pulled away from your bicep.
What do you do if you’re in that loosing defensive hook position and they switch to a press? If you’re equal in strength, their body weight plus triceps press strength will beat my bicep any day. How do I avoid being pressed? I’ve been experimenting with rowing and pulling back with my lat as soon as I see them transition and that usually works just fine for me, but is there a better way?
Didn't know Clark Kent pulled?
Yea me neither
He evolved into wolverine more recently.

Devon biceps look bigger than now
i think his forearms are much bigger which makes the biceps look smaller

Seeing his arms still mostly straight here is very weird after constantly seeing his arms not being able to be straight for the last decade 😭
Devon looks healthy pre surgery and without pancakes
Just because he’s way too older now,,,,, it’s not the matter of surgery
Bro el video en realidad es del año 2000 💀💀💀
Holy shit. I didnt know Eric Roussin was into AW before Grip. The fucking rabbit holes both sports have been sending me into.

Yeah you have to attack the transition as aggressively as you can with cup and shoulder commitment
