I’m so excited! I’ve been wanting to pre-decorate for my non-dominant hand which always looks tragic 🤣 Your channel makes me very happy and I love how supportive cameraman is.
For anyone who comes across this video and wonders just how sheer the full cover nail needs to be before applying with gel (if you still don't want to deal with acrylic and the smell of monomer)? Sheer, for sure, but you can still add color before application, as long as its very light and a thin coat. For instance, I have done several sets on myself and clients where I paint a prepped clear full cover nail with a very light and sheer pink gel - just one even coat so that their natural nail isn't showing through- then a French tip of my choice (I've done everything from plain white tips to chrome tips) or something scant like dots or small flowers etc. The key is this: Flash cure longer- at least 20 seconds, then after a full cure, turn the hand upside down in the lamp for 30 seconds to ensure the underside and any overflow has been cured. I've never had an issue and the clients nails stay on until they want them off- 3-4 weeks.
I have been doing this for a few months now! For the people wondering how well they hold up, these last longer than with gel for my clients! And its so FAST to have them mostly or completely all the way done when the client arrives! I just have them text me what they have in mind a few days beforehand.
Hey suzie I just wanted to thank you all your videos have helped a lot I’m 15 and I do nails I have clients and my aunt who is a professional nail tech said I do good and I thank you I learned only from your videos I’ve been watching since I was 9 thank you so much
Hey suzie I love the designs. Please do a follow up on how well they hold up. Please I'll love to know how well it works with acrylic. Thank you much! Happy holidays 🥳🎅🤶
Adding myself to the replies cause this is amazing and, I, too, would love to know how they're holding up. I wanna have a nail business, so I'm making "press-ons" with Kiara Sky gelly tips and would love to sell them online. ...Should I? Can I? I've never done anything like this and I'd kill to have a friend in the diy e-commerce business to motivate me. Aw...now I'm self conscious...
I’ve been dealing with a great deal of anxiety lately and your videos are so calming to me. The music that camera man uses and the softness of Suzie’s voice are the best combo to help me relax a little bit. And of course, Christmas content makes me happy ❤️ Thank you so much for your wholesome content 💕
Besides the detail and the smiles in learning in what Susie does what really strikes me is she always thanks folks for purchasing her products and even makes you feel welcomed to watch if you did not purchase. SO many tubers out there with lines (and I know Susie has her own biz which is different) just expect you to be happy they have a line. So I enjoy that as well from this channel.
You answered the question I needed to ask within about a minute of the video starting. Thank you so much for a clear and concise answer, with an equally clear explanation.
Yes! I tried this and it holds better than glue for me. It can still look very natural if you keep the acrylic thin. I use a combo of filing and soaking to remove, since I don't have gel tips my plastic tips get slimy/sticky and so I try to file as much off as possible but I wonder if there is a better of doing this whole deal. Also, my nails, normally brittle, thin, and impossible to grow past my finger tips without a gel overlay that ends up popping off cause my nails are so thin and bendy the gel can stick for long, have actually grown out with this method, but I keep them short anyways so they fit under the tips better. I enjoy this method so much I've made a ton of sets of tips to have on hand 😅
I mostly work with gel, but I do have some acrylic. When I do press-ons for a special occasions I use the glue tabs😏. Now I'm going to use acrylic, thanks Suzie! 🙂💜
Oh Suzie!!! I'm so happy your happy today! You seem so joyful and playful this week and I hope it is so. You have seemed a bit sad this year, so I'm glad Christmas brings you joy.
Thank you for doing this video. I’ve just started doing my own gelly tips and was wondering if I could do the nail art then use the gel to put them on. This has answered my question, so I’ll keep doing my tips first then nail art 😊
Oh my gosh, its like you read my mind! I was always wondering if it was possible to predecorate the gelly tips! I guess the key is acrylic powder! Thank you so much!
I knew it was possible cause I'm aways doing this lol. I love those gelly nails. They're the best along with the Beetles gel nails In the long coffin shape.
I recently started to wonder if acrylic would work to adhere the gelly tips! I haven’t had time to try it out but tomorrow I shall!!!! So happy Susie put this video out.
Happy thanksgiving! I wanted to tell you that the melodysusie foil glue is the best foil glue gel on the market. I’ve tried Makartt and a bunch of other brands, but the melodysusie is the best. 30 second cure, full transfer every time, so so good 😊
❤ I needed this video. I have the aprés tips and I always end up with bubbles between the tip and nail bed. This will also cut down my 6 hour long nail art sessions.
Wow, what a great way to use full-coverage soft gel tips! I love the idea of doing the nail art ahead of time, I think I’m going to try this! And as always, I LOVE the Christmas decorations, and how it’s your signature “Suzie blue”!
My favorite tip of hers, use the efile but leave a thin layer of whatever you use on the nail to protect it. I've been doing my own nails for close to a year now (got the gel stuff & lamp last Christmas) and use a brush on builder gel underneath. It's been a fun artsy thing to learn and for the first time in my life my paper thin peeling nails are long and rock hard.
Found your channel and I love how well you explain things. My nail technician let me down after lockdown was lifted so I decided I would learn how to do acrylics myself and do my own nails. I am still practicing and hopefully will be doing my own nails soon. Having watched a few of your videos I know how to prep my nails and create the beads of acrylic and put them on. Thank you!!!
Happy Thanksgiving, you two! Keep up the great work! Suzie, we all just love you to bits! Your passion for this art is inspiring. I could listen to you teach for hours! Cameraman, you always take fantastic close-up shots; seeing Suzie's hands in explicit detail makes learning so much easier, so kudos! Congratulations on your marriage as well! It's obvious you two are meant for each other. Brightest blessings!
WOW!!😍 I'm So Excited i just came across this Video! I've been working with Gel tips for a few mths and I Love them, I can't believe i didn't think about putting Acrilic underneath a Tip already designed with Gel art🙄.. That's Why I Love Your Videos You Cover Everything and Teach So Well,💕 Thanku Again Susie! GodBless💕💅😍💕
I love how festive you are and how cute and snuggly you appear in this video. You didn't even go over the top like I would have personally because I love Christmas decorations and my mum always gets onto me for putting too much LOL less is more she says.
What a clever idea!! I never even thought about using acrylic. I love all your designs and you’ve taught me so much! Alway love watching your videos. 🥰
Last night I tried to do a quick set before bed. Polygel is horrible in a rush. I like poly gel so I can take my time free hand. I have used acrylic in the past, and I always spilled the powder. I have a two year old and 12 year old with asthma, so I have been wary to get powder, but after the quick light free cure I am reminded why I loved powder before children.
Suzie, I noticed that you only cured the foil glue gel for 30 seconds, but the Makartt directions say to cure for 40-60 seconds. I always cure for the full 60 seconds and it works perfectly every time. LOVE the Makartt foil glue!
Suzie is really helps to lightly "paint" the back of the foil with gel wipe solution/IPA and let it dry. I then rub it on my nail with the back of my rhinestone tweezers, which has a little silicone bit on it. Foils transfer a lot better. I hate taking foils off though, they're a bit gummy underneath so I'm loathe to take them down with an efile, I think it'll just gum up my bit.
You are such a pleasure to watch, Suzie. Your instructions are so straight forward and clear, yet thorough. Thank you for the time you put into your work. Love from Newfoundland 💖
For your Amazon adventures.. Try Burano foil glue! Its sooo much more effective than the other few Ive tried. Their kits usually come with 2 glue bottles, and a silicone pusher tool perfect to get 100% transfers. Its fabulous to use glie with stamping designs, too. I found it when I fell in love with the lace foils you showed off in your video with Max E from ENail Couture, and realized I forgot to get foil glue. ;) Perfect transfer is nice, no more trying to fill in holes on complex designs. So cool to use acrylic to apply predecorated gelly tips! Ill try that for sure, ty!
I’m glad you’re using products from a company that actually cares about their customers and who fulfills their orders, unlike another one out there who’s notorious for terrible customer experiences and 4+ month waits to receive an order that was paid for. Thank you for not using THAT company anymore. ❣️
So could that technique be used with non gel tips or full tips? Thanks for the video! I loved it. Busted out giggling a couple times. The music was on point camera man. Hope you guys had a wonderful day.
Tip for 'roughing up' the inside of the tips...I've had good luck with using just the primer/bonder. It etches it just enough for good adherance. I use the Apres nail system, and a non-acid primer. bonus...no dust. I suspect it'd work with this method (acrylic) too.
Hi Susie, I just love your videos. You have taught me so much so heres a little tip for you. I hope it helps. I noticed you were using the Makartt foil gel. I use this brand. Try curing for 60 seconds instead of 30 and let it cool for a couple of seconds before applying foil. I am able to get pretty much a 100% transfer everytime using this method. Please keep those videos coming you are such a wonderful instructor 😁❤
Yay! I’m so happy you posted. I just finished studying for an exam so this is my reward. I’ll probably but gel tips for Christmas so this was the perfect video for me! Love from Finland 💕
Want thank you for giving learning tips on how do nails correctly. Each time I do my nails I get a little better. Since there is no way I can go to salon it is up to me.
Thank you so much for doing this video! I had wondered this very thing, as a DIYer. Doing one's non-dominant hand can be a challenge. ETA - size 6 for a middle finger? Susie, you got some tiny hands! :D
OMFG Suzie! This is literally some breakthrough shit right here! Seriously! Since the pandemic, handmade press-ons e-commerce businesses have skyrocketed! So much has been through your inspiration, too, and I'm honoured to credit you once again with some genius techniques to pass along to our clientele!
hi, Suzie beautiful nails you demonstrated I have two questions though, say if you had extra slip or monomer that a lot too much to absorb with a tissue could u pour it back in the bottle because I have done that with my slip solution and the kit I got came with a small bottle of slip and I'm trying to preserve it. the second question could you try different nail games and see what ones are the most accurate. thanks so much, Keira.
I learned that if you remove slowly jerking motions you can kinda lay it back over and rub some more without it coming off the nail I hope this makes sense
Such cute nails. If you make little cuts around the foil it will go down flat. These foils are so beautiful. To many to choose from. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Thank you for sharing this. Stay safe and healthy.
Happy Thanksgiving to my American Friends😘
For those of you who asked, my Monomers are now available separately 👏

Is amazing 😍
Happy Thanksgiving Suzie 💖
Happy Thanksgiving Suzie!! Hope you’re having a good day as well!
Happy Thanksgiving 🦃 🍗
Would the prep and prime work well for gel and polygel or only acrylic? I need a good set for my gels and polygels. My nails lift horribly.
Try pressing the foil down on the nail with a stamper. Seems to work really well.
Oh that’s brilliant, I need to try that
🥲🥺 thats brilliant
Smort!
Oooh! Hot tip! Totes gonna try that! Thank you! 😊
What stamper ? I’m confused
I’m so excited! I’ve been wanting to pre-decorate for my non-dominant hand which always looks tragic 🤣

Thats were my thoughts before starting my diploma in nail art technotion a month ago...loooove it💜, thanks
Hello, can I use dark colors for pre designed gel x?
Hey suzie I just wanted to thank you all your videos have helped a lot I’m 15 and I do nails I have clients and my aunt who is a professional nail tech said I do good and I thank you I learned only from your videos I’ve been watching since I was 9 thank you so much
that's so awesome! keep going!👏👏👏
I love the Christmas aesthetic of the video background and everything! It’s never too early for Christmas lol
So you CAN use acrylic to attach gel nails! Yay. Thank you. I know this was from 2 years ago but I wasn’t into it back then.
Hey suzie I love the designs. Please do a follow up on how well they hold up. Please I'll love to know how well it works with acrylic. Thank you much! Happy holidays 🥳🎅🤶
Would also love to know how to take them off.
Is it possible to do without destroying the press-on nail?
I want to see this also (how it holds up, and how to take them off) :)

Suzie I did it!!!! The first time EVER that I got the foil on a nail perfectly!!!! THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH ❤
Thats AWESOME!
Best voice in the whole of RUclips!!!
I love this technique! Can you do a video on how to remove them as well?
Yes! I tried this and it holds better than glue for me. It can still look very natural if you keep the acrylic thin.

Hey Suzie! I was wondering if you could try WISH acrylic kit? It’s fun to see how a pro can make nails with bad stuff :)
I just bought these!! Make sure you choose the correct one you want because there are several to choose from. Thanks Suzie!
Love the decor! My tree has the same look with the “snow” glitter silver and shade of blue. It’s got pine cones on it too.

These nail foils are so cute! I love working with them too! I work with jelly tips a lot on my channel as well since they are so easy to use! 🥰
I am glad you posted this. Gel isn’t sticking for long, despite the prep. I would prefer not to use more nail glue.
This is so much easier then gel in my opinion! thank you for teaching me this method!!!💕
Now this is a game changer! Neat idea.
Happy Thanksgiving Suzie also everyone ❤️❤️

Omg I never thought to use acrylic on the gelly tips! What a good idea

hi, Suzie beautiful nails you demonstrated I have two questions though, say if you had extra slip or monomer that a lot too much to absorb with a tissue could u pour it back in the bottle because I have done that with my slip solution and the kit I got came with a small bottle of slip and I'm trying to preserve it. the second question could you try different nail games and see what ones are the most accurate. thanks so much, Keira.
I learned that if you remove slowly jerking motions you can kinda lay it back over and rub some more without it coming off the nail I hope this makes sense
I also peel slowly so I can watch for spots that didn't stick.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family and I love your volgs channel 💖💕💘.
I've never done acrylic nails before but I have done polygel and I'm actually not that bad with polygel. But your nails came out gorgeous!!
Such cute nails. If you make little cuts around the foil it will go down flat. These foils are so beautiful. To many to choose from. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Thank you for sharing this. Stay safe and healthy.
