KackisHD my friend h8s this mission but he doesn’t use his super -_-
KackisHD there is an easier shortcut at the start where you jump on the gate horn thing at the entrance and then jump directly to the blight ledge.
Another tip is if you want to get max dmg without heavy is to stay in the room kackisHD mentioned and have everyone use polaris lance, less ammo required and the perfect fith perk stuns the bosses quite often

You don't need anything to increase jumping hight, just jump from another point.
The wall right where you look at, at 1:58
You see the little rock at the wall? If you stand on it you can jump up to another thing that's like a ledge and then up to the actual "secret ledge"
The other thing being some horn things along the entrance. Jump just to the right of the horn hanging down between the secret ledge and the entrance, to find the secret ledge.

When my group did it I was a warlock and had no trouble with the jumping puzzles, if you use drift control you can adjust which way you're going where to jump etc. Plus empowering Rift helps at the end. We also used tractor cannon.

Painfully accurate
Urazz we found a pattern in them due to being in there all day having to master the green room as the shortcut hadn't been discovered yet when we completed everything but you will always get at least 2 taken events in a row then 2 cabal except every 2 and sometimes 3 cycles of this there will be a large pause in all public events on all of io then a 3rd cabal event will spawn and after that it will be 3 taken ones. I believe they are on a timed cycle that resets during that pause. So after 2 taken events, and after you fail one at the 20 min mark another will spawn in almost as soon as you come back out and after that if theres not another taken immediately after you can go play a couple pvp or strikes or even a quick raid as it will be a while b4 theres another just keep checking the map and learn the 2 spots the taken event marker can be, or just learn where the 1 cabal one is as it's always in the same spot. And when the taken one comes back you can know you will get at least 2 runs of it consecutively. That's what we did and it made the wait less bearable. Now if only the shortcut was discovered immediately we could have done it 1st or 2nd try lol but it's useful to know for the chest runs anyway.

Lol we had to master the green room as we completed everything b4 the shortcut was discovered. Nothing worse than having a perfect run ruined due to 1 or 2 ppl missing the last jump in that room. Btw if your a hunter with stompies the last jump can be completed easily by jumping from the far righthand edge of the platform as using the lefthand wall side the angle always throws you off and the wall pushes you back off at the last second. Titans its easier with catapult jump and lion rampant and just feather the jump button when your almost there. Warlocks are another story altogether, it's almost just dumb luck on that last jump lol.
zack phy Green is my absolute favourite room, got it mastered by the end my 1st run. Its so fun I'm kinda sad they put a shortcut. Warlocks are too easy for jumping puzzles 🤣🤗

The only thing I'd disagree with is the recommendation of only using Hunters. While two Arcstriders running Raiden Flux, and one Orpheus Rig Tether Hunter is a good composition, my team did it with two Titans and one Warlock. And we completed the Heroic version with 7 and a half minutes still left on the clock. Basically ANY class is fine.
But I would HIGHLY recommend at least ONE person be a Sunbreaker Titan (top tree) for the Melting Point. 50% extra damage to the bosses at the end makes it so much easier. Just like ANY raid the normal subclasses setups for ad control and boss damage work great in this encounter.
And if it's your first run through without the Black Spindle just use the Sleeper Simulant. After you run out of heavy ammo, I'd HIGHLY recommend switching to using the Polaris Lance. We absolutely destroyed the bosses with 3 masterworked Polaris Lance's.
I had my doubts about these “shortcuts...”. But “holy mother of God” you skip the green wall room entirely ... well done !
Great video. One thing is you dont need the stompees to get to the blight room at the start, just go forward a little (5-10 steps) from where you spawn, and then turn around, you will see a shell like thing just above you. Jump on that and then jump through the moss like overhangs directly to the blight cave.
With all due respect guardian, its all well n good showing us how to get through the different stages, shortcuts and all, and believe me when I say its greatly appreciated. However, no one is showing us what weapons to use in the process. We don't have the spindle to shoot the knights etc, so what load-out do we use in the first place n what would you say is the minimum light level before starting this quest? Kind regards....
Light level of I'd say 400+ just to be safe. With Forsaken, thats easy. 1 person run Void primary, and solar heavy. And another person run the exact opposite. That way shielded opponents can be divided, and conquered. Stuff for air mobility like Stompies help the jumping. I used a Solar handcannon, and a void linear fusion rifle. As for classes, stick to Void and solar, as there are only like 4 enemies in the entire mission with Arc shields

couple of tips also. at 9:51 when you go under the ball and around the corner to jump on the elevator, its much easier to just jump on top of the ball and jump directly to the elevator. You don't have to worry about falling off that tricky corner and going around. Saves a few seconds. Also, we run into the boss room with sniper/sleeper/whatever and when we are out of ammo we switch to Polaris Lance. Great for ammo regen and that explosive round does a lot of damage.
There are so many things wrong with this video.
1. Warlocks cant make that jump in the beginning the way you described. They have to jump onto the branch above the entrance and then onto the platform with the hole.
2. When the hell are you ever going to have super during the jumping puzzle? You're making a video for people who don't have it yet, and during that anomaly it resets thier super bar so they will never be able to cheese the jump room puzzle because they don't have super.
3. Having spindle is absolutely important for cheeseing the bosses this way. No other weapon can regenerate heavy ammo and you WILL run out before all three are dead. No other sniper can take them out except spindle, you would have to switch to scouts. You shouldn't say any sniper will help you here because people are going to assume thats all they need, go in, run out of ammo and fail. You have to elaborate and tell them to bring some scout rifles pre-spindle.
4. There are better videos on youtube on how to do the rooms specifically which is the part most people have trouble on which you gave zero hints for. Theres videos on what yellows to kill in what order and safe spots etc.

I used the next strongest sniper: D.A.R.C.I. Ran out of ammo quickly killing the easier boss on the right. At this point, you need a player with the Whisper to get the Whisper.
ya, I get all your points except for number 3. D.A.R.C.I is a good replacement because it can do more damage than a normal whisper in a shorte amount of time and if there is a heavy problem there's a ton of adds to kill to get more. and power lance is a good one to use as well because it person hits reload the mag and if you land 4 you get a solar explosion round for your next shot. plus good guns aren't really necessary for the final boss fight as long as you have a hunter with tether and you know how to rotate supers.

For that first room there's a way to quickly get up to the right ledge without an item. Instead of jumping on the rock to your right, jump onto the horn thingy on the left of the entrance, and then from there jump directly to the ledge with the blight blocking the hole. I can do it easily with a titan, and I've seen warlocks and hunters do it too, though the warlock was struggling a bit.
You can also jump on the horn on the right of the entrance, but that is very slippy and precise.
there's a way to skip the start without jump height modifiers. jump on the rock then the viny shit on the door you enter through and then up onto the ledge. only longer by about half a second
or you can just straight jump onto the viney shit then up onto the ledge

I recommend using borealis if you’re comfortable sniping. Luna faction boots, a rally barricade, and the autoloading hunter dodge won’t take the ionic return perk off but will reload the sniper. Basically you can have around 20 double damage sniper bullets and sit in the back and melt the bosses
I'm a warlock and the jumping part is super easy but I just can't find a good super for the bosses cause I was always reach the bosses by like 8-9 minutes remaining but fail there...
Use dawnblade
Me and my friends used the polaris lance on the bosses in the back and it worked well.. Just the constant headshots saves you the reload plus the burn damage from the perfect fifth perk

First off, thank you for your video and coffee acknowledging the difficulty faced by warlocks. A link to each of the points in your video that are important (secret drop, which wormhole to take, each ad room, and then the final boss room, etc) would be freakishly awesome. Your short but sweet video is very helpful, enormously when combined with several repeated watches of the longer ones for research because it's easy to forget where things are specifically after one sleeps a few nights between attempts. Thank you for the short vid that broke like me can quickly open up for quick reminders JUST BEFORE or JUST AFTER starting.
With all that said:
Does anyone know of a good guide for warlocks in particular while still using the sneaky path?
(Most videos are either long path, focused solely on enemies, or use hunters or titans to run it so that the streamer can understandably save time AND extra practice).
I found myself having to cheese across using to tree dawnblade with super cheese more than once and that left me little time (about 8 minutes) to go through both ad rooms not even making it to the 3 mini bosses (solo because my clan is full of people that dirty have it already or don't care, and in both cases, neither want to do the puzzle to help out (understandably).
Wanting to practice until I can do it solo (can't use a mic when I'm able to play).
EDIT: got 12 minutes left as my new record, but that doesn't get me any closer, lol. Warlock classes used to be stellar for jumping puzzles (D1), but I feel that with the lack of warlock representation in their teams, warlocks generally get left out if the discussion with a cheese added last minute when they realize their fault. When doing a timed puzzle where EVERY SECOND COUNTS, we either need to be represented more OR regular warlock mains brought in to get a voice added in before these otherwise awesome puzzles are completed (NDAs have been used for the longest time to enable outsiders to help groups complete secretive projects as I've been privy to signing more than my fair share of them).
Any warlocks on XB1 want to join in the effort for building a guide of suggestions and tricks that help us get through the jumping puzzle part quicker as well as other jumping puzzles in D2?
If so, feel free to message me on xb1 (DudeSerius) and we can get something going. Maybe our efforts will be seen by someone important, amongst the powers that be, and alert them to the population of pve warlocks that wants to enjoy the game just as much as fellow titans and hunters and are willing to practice if there are methods in place that feel intentional instead of just cheeses left in to assuage the devs' individual and collective conscience.

With Catapult and Rampants you can skip running through the lost sector, skip through the first red jumping puzzle including sliding rocks, and the room with the taken pushers.
Just started playing destiny 2. A guy from work was going they a rough time and he loves it. So I got it to play with him and now I am hooked. So much to learn as I just got to light level 330 lol. Your videos are awesome and help a lot.

Some smaller vex can give sheilds to bigger enemies. Look for a blue line coming from the big guy, and follow it to the vex
The block you are on at 2:58-9 can be jumped to by a hunter with stompeez and triple jump from the first set of pushers you jump down to in the room as well.

It’s an exotic Black Hammer. Black spindle was a rework of the Hammer basically making white nail less op. Now they bring it back as the original functioning white nail perk as Black Hammer along with mulligan. I.e exotic Black Hammer.

You can also get on the rock by the door at the beginning and jump straight into the blight room.
First drop and you crawl through the tunnel you can hit that little ledge halfway through dropping off the ledge.
And getting to the elevator you can actually jump straight to the elevator from the pushing rock ledge.
Just a couple things to shave off a few more seconds that may come in handy
Bungee will probably nerf it and take away the white nail perk like they did in D1.

Using Sunbreaker Code of the Siegebreaker is also useful. You can stand in your sunspot and throw more hammers, also the hammers will create more sunspots that dps the boss for a long time.

Warlocks struggle on the jumping? No, whoever struggles there is just bad at jumping no matter the class. I got to the fights with 16 minutes left on my warlock, while the titan was a minute behind and the hunter was lagging waaaay behind. Struggle my ass, lol
Wow. This video gave me hope. I tried this 1 time, and i really struggled with my Warlock jumps. But seeing that there is a hidden passage, it gives me hope that i can skip some parts of the jumping puzzle. Thank you
Why isn’t anyone using mida on the jumping puzzle?
Epic using stompees or lion rampart is plenty boost, you dont really need the extra speed boost from mida after that. I tried it my first couple of runs and the extra speed just made me jump too far and have to correct in mid air more often
There is a bug where if you have 10 mobility and use stompies it reduces your mobility
I don't use the stompee. I have those things. And I it perform hunters with it. You can use the lightweight perk on weapons to clear the puzzle no problem
I use a hunter with triple jump and that's it, no fancy items. I can make it through to the first add room in about 5-6 minutes even with a few deaths from falling
You dont need anything specific for the first jump. Theres a small ledge on the wall next to the entrance you can get onto and jump directly to the ledge with the blight. worlock can do it pretty easy with balanced glide.

Warlock 2020 tips:
For the parkour part, use top tree solar. Icarus Dash helps alot getting around really tight corners. Always use burst glide. Be careful when you use your guide, you can use it multiple times mid-air so try to time it better later than sooner. For the boss, if you have a coordinated team and camp the cave middle tree solar (Well of Radiance) might be a solid pick.
If you don’t have forsaken then too tree void walker is also pretty good dps

polaris lance is gr8 as well... even when its not solar singe. i used it every run i did... when i ran out of heavy ammo. does about 900 damage per crit on the bosses, plus the explosive 5th shot

Yeah, grass room shortcut is super useful and all, but I actually really enjoyed that jumping puzzle. Beautiful aesthetic and music, and it was pretty fun and nothing we’ve ever really seen out of a jumpy bit.
My team that I've been running it with is Sunbreaker, Orpheus, RaidenFlux and it's been going fantastic, I run in and melting point the boss we want to focus, then immediately pop my super so I don't die and my two hunters gun him down with DARCI (they use whisper now, but for our first time) while I throw hammers and back up. Our Arcstrider clears adds and blights and then cc's the bosses when he has his super up.
Another really decent weapon to use, if you don't like to use snipers or for w/e reason you don't have one you CAN use, is Polaris Lance. If you stand up top like Kackis shows in this video and just infinitely shoot the bosses in the head it does pretty decent dps since you never have to reload and constantly proc the perfect 5th
i solo'd it, didn't use a single super or heavy. i just used Hard Light and they went down in seconds. Bug? Or just the game being nice?

The normal whisper and zero hour are bugged with damage more than usual, whisper heroic is still a pain in the butt

For those who don't have the stompies. Enter the lost sector, continue past the two rocks in the beginning, you'll see two trees, one on left and one on right, right after the right tree there is rock, jump on it. then jump towards the other (left) tree, target for few small branches, then reverse back and double jump toward the lost sector chest.
Of course, the number one thing that has to happen is the Blight event has to drop. Sunday afternoon in the US, we waited hours, more than 13 events before I gave up to drop. THANKS BUNGIE for taking away the event in prime time on a weekend! Why do I still play this game?
Warlock with the Icarus dash is great for the jumping puzzle. I beat my team to the add rooms every time with it.
I preferred warlock for this. Run dawnblade with icarus dash then swap to storm caller with crown of tempests when you gets to adds
If you use the light attack, light attack, heavy attack against the centurion boss as an arc strider, you can stun lock him and team up on him without Him doing his melee. The attack that stuns it is the force palm.
I've ran this on normal and heroic almost 50 times now and my biggest tip for arcstriders is to switch to lucky raspberry after the jumping puzzle and between you supers. I pricked 6 grenades in a row and cleared the 1 and 2nd room extremely quick
Oh and after you are out of heavy in the final then switch to you exotic Polaris lense. Hands down the best way to go

Btw. Go to triangle room with all psions kill them and look to left you can see a blue light. Go to it and left is a small room with a dead vex i think you can scan
Needs a solo version of this cause that first combat room is a big wall especaly for striker titan :( which is about the only class of titan I find enjoyable and playable was thinking of using a suros with solar smg and void rocket launcher with the smg boot exotic armor (keep in mind I'm like light lvl 703 or so)

I got mine on my warlock//got to the first add room with 15+ minutes and into the bosses room with 8:50 left..we have one hammer titan with TC and a tether hunter and a Nova Bomb Warlock and use polaris lance/Braytech
to shoot them from far
Polaris Lance is amazing for the 3 boss’s at end if you do not have Whisper sniper
The video was very usefull, I am struggling to find a group to do the quest with and even if i do get a group going, not much team work or coordination is happening. This video should help next time i attempt to get the sniper.
Polaris Lance is great for a first play through. My team just stood in the back with Polaris and the final fight was much easier than previous attempts.

Lived streamed that same short cut last night
Before getting the spindle, my group used the Polaris to focus fire the bosses in the last phase.
Except for the Green Room at the end of the jumping puzzle my Warlock blows past everyone else, past that a Stormcaller combined with Shadowshot works amazingly well at making orbs and wiping out entire room of enemies, especially with clearing the hundred or so Ads that spawn in when fighting the three bosses at the end
I would recommend use sleeper or darci when your out of heavy just us polaris lance
Ha,I used this same strategy before I saw this and helped a couple clan members...as long as you get to the boss room with around 7-8 minutes to spare....we only took out the 1st two blights on left and right,took the boss to half health then one person went and finished it with their super,then ammo run and on to the next boss
For you warlock boys, do Icarus dash tree for all the jumping puzzles, then switch to bottom tree on solar or switch to stormcallers for clearing and generating orbs on rifts
Ep shotgun and riskrunner works very well in the final boss room

for the final 3 boss, if you have 2 warlock, you can use well + sword on each of the bosses.
my team cleared the boss area with 2 well + 1 bubble, and sword the boss in like a minute
Question, Rick. My friend and I both have nerve damage in our hands making jumping puzzles more difficult than usual. Is there any way you could help us try to get WotW? Do we need to finish the jump puzzle and get to the fight room with you? I have questions, and since Radio Shack closed, do YOU have answers?
This is a bit easier now. You can equip a kinetic sniper, swap energy weapons for shields, and then use something like Sleeper for heavy. I don't know if it's a bug, or if Bungie wanted to make it a bit trickier, but heavy ammo isn't dropping in the mission since Forsaken, so save your heavy for the bosses. Also, it doesn't look like the recommended power has increased, so it should be pretty easy if have Forsaken and are anywhere above 400. My brother and I 2-manned it and the heroic version this weekend with lots of time to spare.
So kackis. I played the jumping part only with my warlock and noticed some shortcuts that can save you time and also I was ahead of my fellow hunters. I could show you the shortcuts but I rn don't have any video proof for them.
We three ran a strat of two arcstriders and a void warlock. First room one arcstrider clears left side rest follows up. Second room novabomb, third room other arcstrider clears right side rest follows, last room before boss one snipes hobgoblins, Bossroom without whisper of the worm we used Polaris Lance for infinite ammo, with whisper it does not differ from your strategy.
Also warlock for healing or empowering rift. Depending on situation.
The endless thrall spawning from Wizards is something I'm going to dread when it comes to ever doing this mission again. Everything else was easy, but Wizards were popping out thralls like they knew there was a time limit. lol
using this myself ( warlock) and a titan made it to the 2nd room without much difficulty at 366 light level, only issue is the knights in 2nd room. With a good third it is a doable mission but it will have to be a titan or hunter.
FYI stomp ee5 aren't needed for that jump you called out, I can nail it with Hunter void 3x jump.
