CONGRATS BROTHER!!! I own two BB's. One just like you got and one with a hammered shell with imperial lugs. Most of the BB's with hammered shells have tube lugs and like you, I'm not a big fan of tube lugs. About 3 months ago, I was scoping out Reverb and saw the HH BB with imperial lugs so I snagged it. It was used in mint condish for $715. Killer snare drum at a killer deal. The Ludwig BB is the one snare drum that every drummer should own.
Thanks for the shout out brother! My dream snare too brother! In my favorite size too. My favorite snare I own is the LM402. Drum Center had my order to me in 1 day. No candy though 😂. Great sound as expected!!
DCP is the absolute best! I'm extremely lucky that they're local to me. Hands down the best guys to deal with, started shopping there 7 or 8 years ago and haven't gone anywhere else since.
Get a real Ludwig (WFL III) shell recipe is an authentic Ludwig Mahogany and maple made by Bill Ludwig III! was just at their HQ in Kansas City Missouri and those guys are really cool.
Brass is good, but worlds best or not I personally prefer steel shell snares. I used to have a Tama 14x6.5 Metalworks snare I got second hand for like £60 and it was a BEAST.
New challenge: first person to buy me one of these wins absolutely nothing!

Add some Diecast Hoops to that and it becomes the perfect Snare Drum

Same. I bought a new kit from them last March. Almost a two hour drive but worth it. That place has to be experienced.
Ai just spewed the same points you find in a brochure. Ludwig snares, the best hands down.
Sweet snare. DCP is a top tier shop. I try to buy as much of my gear from them as possible. Totally worth the visit if you're in the area.
My grandpa has an original 70’s Ludwig black beauty, but I really want a new one.

AI got something right. Marking this down on my calendar.
Brother! Got your own add banner on Sweetwater. You're just flexing your celebrityness and bank account now, brother.
I bought mine back in the 80s brand new for $400 with imperial lugs 6 1/2 x 14 cost of living is getting really high.
Beautiful snare. Sounds amazing. You should check out the pork pies patina brass. Amazing sounding snare.
I waited about 2 months for the hammered version but it was worth it
The arguing with chatgpt 🤣
Thanks for sharing my man ✌️
Sounds like Rhett schull
