  • The community of Tanana lies on the confluence of the Tanana and Yukon Rivers in central Alaska.
The community is one of four communities selected for participation in the National Science Foundation project, "Coupling infrastructure improvements to food-energy-water system dynamics in small cold region communities: MicroFEWs."
    For more information, visit ine.uaf.edu/mic...
MicroFEWs is a four-year project with the ultimate goal of developing a novel systems approach to understanding the linkages between renewable energy use and its downstream impacts upon food, energy and water security in remote Arctic and sub-Arctic communities.

I'm in Oregon and appreciate the efforts being given to provide clean water, power, and vehicular access to the village. Maybe this year I will apply to build a hydrogen generator for your village when I get my gov contract

Thanks! More research is coming from the road. Thanks for watching. I am not sure if I will make a video on the ice road, however, there will be more information coming out, I believe.
